If you did it after a CDT combo finisher then you have to set it up so that you can use another 22C after it. Something like CDT > RC > 214B > 22C > 22C. The opponent will get trapped by the bubble after the first 22C which will give you time to recover from it and do another 22C. If you did a raw CDT then you can you can combo off the 22C with 5A but there are much better alternatives to that.
-
Except that Ragna's footsie tools are superior to Plat's. Plat can't play the approach that Jin can, she has to get in and at that point I put myself at risk with the DP. I already had this same exact discussion with D_E so let's just leave it at that.
-
Just until I master Plat combos and learn to react to 6B and GH more often. I was blocking that shit like nothing during the first match but it went down hill after that.
-
Yeah, you should always do 66 2A if you feel like a j.C is coming since it also beats j.B cleanly and is not punishable by anti-air bait Ice Swords. Do 6A if you feel like I'm gonna use j.2C.
-
Oh no, I will sit there and just spam TK Ice Blades, wait for you to rush and react to your approach accordingly. I'm all but patience lol. Fuck it, I'm gonna tell you another way to beating this strategy because I feel sorry for you lol: dash > Barrier IB. Just rush down, come to a halt with a Barrier when you're about to get hit by an Ice Sword and you'll IB it. You'll negate some of the block-stun and at that point you'll probably be at the range where you can do IAD j.C if I try another TK Ice Blade. Of course I can always just look for the IAD j.C and punish you for it but hey, just another way to try and get in. Remember that I don't use TK Ice Blades to just zone, I use them to approach too. You can't compete with Jin in the air unless you use j.C preemptively and even then I can just space my j.C and get a CH. Your best best is the ground approach, that's why you need to employ Dash > Barrier IB.
-
I lost that first match because I wasn't even zoning there, I was just doing reckless rushdown. The other match I lost because "lol Ragna".
-
Ah, so that's what he meant by that.
-
Just play on a big ass HD TV without game mode on if you wanna test stuff out with a few frames of input delay. That's assuming if what you're talking about by "online training mode" is input delay.
-
I only tried j.2C when I was trying to reset pressure, never really tried to jump in with it. I'll give it a try next time but I'll have to delay it until I'm really close to the ground at which point I'd get 6A'd instead lol
-
I don't see why not.
-
Man, if that was me trying to do that, I would have gotten 2B'd every time. Or maybe that's just a Plat thing? Every time I tried to jump in on him he said "lol nope, 2B low profile".

The Japanese do that all the time lol. 22C does auto track and it covers quite a lot of distance at that. I usually do Mami (match ender) > RC > AD backwards > 22C, that shit looks funny as hell.
-
I'm talking about other people using the internet in their houses. I join 3 bar rooms, they drop to 2s in the lobby, they play like 0s in the match lol. That wasn't the case for you and zeth though, BB netplay is just being lulz here.
-
I just use Jin against them and pressure/frame trap/reset them to death lol.
-
lol, good shit, I seriously need to try this out ASAP.
-
I thought Zeth's kryptonite was A mash lol. @LK - Yeah, that's netplay and people having other people stream/download shit in their house. It happens way too often. You join a room with a certain connection level and it drops while you're in there. @GGJ - man, those Plats are hella annoying to deal with since you have to play extremely careful. Sure if you punish HC in the corner or have some meter mid-screen then that's an easy 4-5K but it's no fun trying to poke when they have that option at will.
-
I've been doing IAD Swallow for cross-ups when my back is against the corner lately. If you manipulate the balloon so that it moves backwards just slightly, it will cross them up again. Think of it like Jin's IAD j.236D lol. I need to try that oki set-up. It's always good to fuck up reversal inputs and punish rolls at the same time lol.
-
It's not that hard to IB nails, take that into consideration along with bad spacing lol. @Zeromus - you're just now learning to respect the Bubble? lol, you haven't been playing the right Plats up until now. That's 4.4-6K depending on items and if meter gets involved.
-
lmao, I'm really damn clueless That's true though, if I'm not employing oki then I'm just letting them out for free. I should just adapt like you said. If the guy uses DPs like no tomorrow then I need to try that approach and if they don't, then I might just have to work that oki. The way I see it is that there's not much point in trying to get in after a knockdown and risk eating a reversal if I don't have the meter to RC 6A and get something out of it. Pressure, frame traps, and baits can't always cut it so I prefer to zone people until I have the meter to actually mix people up with 6A and j.236D.
-
Bang quick rise 5A, too strong lol
-
Talking about zoning with Jin or Carnage Scissors here? lol
-
I'm just gonna OS "lol Ragna S-tier" and "lol Jin crap tier" when and if that happens lol. I just need to train my brain to react to the 6B and GH more than 50% of the time. Then you'll just have to outpoke me which shouldn't be too hard given Ragna's normals. Oh and Carnage Scissors, remember that you have that move even though you'll get blown the hell up if you miss with it lol.
