  1. ^^ That, I've come to terms and accepted that Jin is really bad in this iteration whereas Plat is hella good. There's room for improvement but she's still pretty good. Now while Jin might be horrible, I still have an easier time winning with him than with Plat. Must be the DP lol.
  2. lulz, someone link me to the new tier list or are we still going by the DL tier-list?
  3. I wish I could memorize all those combos in one sitting but sadly my brain is not capable of such a feat lol. So I write them down and what better place to jot all this down than DL? lol I'll go back and work on the thread after I rework the Jin combo thread. Most likely by tomorrow.
  4. lol, what a finish to that match. Van be trollin' That combo tends to whiff if you're close to the corner for some reason. Make sure that you're doing way away from the corner. Anyways, the combo thread is 50% redone. I stopped at the 5C combos. Even then, I have to go through it again and rework some combos because I derped and forgot that 214A > 44 5C/2C > 6C > DC > DP B existed I did find my new best thing off some crappy starters like 5A, 2A, or 2B. Crappy Starter > 5B > Sekkajin > 66 6C > DC > 214A > 44 2C > DP B > 66 5D > 236D > empty jump mix-up. The combo builds it's own meter for 236D regardless of starter. Get them to guess-block wrong on the empty jump mix-up and you'll get over 4.4K (j.2C/3C) lol. One thing though, why is is that Lambda gets a free empty jump set-up (Sickle Storm) that nets her a ridiculous amount of frame advantage (+71) off any knockdown and we have to spend 25 Heat, alter a combo so that it does less damage, be in the corner, and we get roughly +33 frame advantage, just barely enough to do an empty jump mix-up and still worry about a DP. WHY BASED ARCSYS, WHY!?
  5. lol, just how long is your paper?
  6. Akira posts with no fucks given to spelling and grammar here but he probably writes like a valedictorian when it counts XD Edit: Never mind, lol
  7. Also, look at it this way, once you start getting matches off his Rachel then pretty much every other Rachel will seem free lol. Yeah, that's not gonna happen anytime soon though (I speak for myself). Dat Rachel.
  8. Do it TD, I know you make people rage hard with Rachel but you could make them rage harder with Carl lol
  9. Pretty much this, my hearts goes to those who make the sacrifice and go lol.
  10. Yo I found it amusing that he always does that, so I put some amusement into his amusement, so we can laugh while he laughs.
  11. I get the silly side swap 90% of the time by doing that so I just decided to time it instead lol.
  12. Pretty much the only difficult combos are the DP C CH > 66 5C and the corner 5B > 5C > DP B > (Delayed) 6C ones. I'm going through the combo thread and replacing + getting rid of some asinine combos right now. Expect to have a better combo thread by the end of today and if not by tomorrow at the latest. After doing Plat combos, Jin's combos are a piece of cake. Even the 44 2C ones now lol. Also, I added a list of Jin resets to the Jin mirror thread. Remember kids, OS DP bait makes Jin's DP B/C obsolete on the ground
  13. Actually there are a few tips I can give out: See if your opponent is reset heavy and know your reset points, here are some common ones: j.D > Land > Reset Answers: DP D, back dash, up+back, react j.D > Land > AUB 5B/5C Answer: Barrier block j.D > AD > j.D (cross-under) Answer: React to the cross-under 5B > Mix-up Answers: DP D, back dash, up+back, react 5A > Mix-up Answers: DP D, back dash, up+back, react j.2C > Intentional Drop > Low/Mix-up Answers: 6B, DP D, back dash, up+back, react 6D > Empty Jump mix-up Answers: DP D, guess lol (Airborne) 5C > 5D > 236D > Empty Jump mix-up Answers: Same as above Also, use OS DP B/C bait if he doesn't have the meter for DP D. So if the other Jin thinks he's smug by doing some dumb shit like 214A > DP B/C or 6C > DP B/C, then do 2A+4B. If you hit him, you'll automatically confirm into 5B. If you whiff the 2A during DP C's lol start-up, then you'll block it and be able to punish it.
  14. Just because we know the resets and gimmicks doesn't mean that we won't fall for them lol. I know I get hit by reset 6As simply because I don't have what it takes to react to 6A lol. Just remember to DP them once in a while to keep your opponent honest.
  15. The thing is, I do know how to blow Jin up. I know pretty much all of his resets minus some extremely gimmicky ones. While I might know how to blow Jin up, I do admit to getting outplayed or losing to better Jins.
  16. I'm gonna be a douche and say yes lol. By this time you should know pretty much what Jin is capable of: his pressure holes, his resets, his gimmicks, his hit and hurt boxes, his frame data, OS against DP B/C, etc. It's probably more of a "the other Jin is better" than a "not knowing how to fight Jin".
  17. As anti-airs? Tall characters tend to have decent 5A anti-airs. Hazama, Ragna, and Hakumen, are the prime examples because their 5A has a 5F start-up.
  18. His damage is only slightly less than it was before. Higher in some situations (close to the corner) and lower in others (crouching hit-confirm). Yeah, I don't see the Lambda vs Jin match-up being all that different but oh boy, pretty much every other match-up is hell for him. Also, lol at all the pocket Ragnas. It's a rare thing to fight a character that's not Ragna in random player matches.
  19. Being Jin in this game ain't easy lol. The best he can do off a j.C CH is 3.7K, and the opponent's back has to basically be touching the corner wall lol. Edit: Holy shit, why does she get so much damage off a 5B? XD Plat is barely getting that kind of damage off a 6C FC with the Hammer Equipped + CDT > 22C > Bubble 22C XD
  20. GGs Cookie Gotta work on your Bursting, it's too predictable as it is. I probably baited 90% of those Bursts. Also, lol, Mu j.C to 4K, wish Jin's j.C could do that XD
  21. Nothing wrong with that, I'd do the same thing if had the meter to RC after a round-winning Ice Arrow. I did get some Astrals off so that's cool too lol.
  22. Miracle Jean (Hammer Upgrade) Close to the Corner: 5D/j.D 5D 5D CH > 5C > 236B > 66 6C > j.236C > j.C > 22C > 6A > 6C > 22C > 6A > 22C > 5C > sj.C > j.D > 5C > sj.B > j.C > j.D > [Combo Finisher 1] (6948/50+) 5D CH > 5C > 236B > 66 6C > j.236C > j.C > 22C > [6A > 6C > 22C] x 2 > 5C > sj.B > j.C > JC > j.C > j.D > [Combo Finisher 1] (6742/50+) 5D CH > 5C > 236B > 66 6C > j.236C > j.C > 22C > [6A > 6C > 22C] x 2 > [Combo Finisher 1] (6182/49) j.D j.D > 5C > 236B > 66 6C > j.236C > j.C > 22C > 6A > 6C > 22C > 5C > sj.C > j.D > 5C > sj.B > j.C > j.D > [Combo Finisher 1] (5502/50+) j.D > 5C > 236B > 66 6C > j.236C > j.C > 22C > 6A > 6C > 22C > 5C > sj.B > j.C > JC > j.C > j.D > [Combo Finisher 1] (5165/50+) j.D > 5C > 236B > 66 6C > j.236C > j.C > 22C > 6A > 22C > [Combo Finisher 2] (4582/46) Quake (5D/j.D Whiff) [*]Quake > 66 5C > 236B > 66 6C > j.236C > j.C > 22C > 6A > 22C > 5C > sj.C > j.D > 5C > sj.B > j.C > j.D > [Combo Finisher 1] (3767/50+) [*]Quake > 66 5C > 236B > 66 6C > j.236C > j.C > 22C > 6A > 6C > 22C > 5C > sj.B > j.C > JC > j.C > j.D > [Combo Finisher 1] (3561/50+) [*]Quake > 66 5C > 236B > 66 6C > j.236C > j.C > 22C > 6A > 6C > 22C > [Combo Finisher 1] (3008/36)
