  1. IB > DP, IB > jump out, IB > back dash lol. Of course I'm not just going to try and zone, I'm gonna look for chances in getting in, try a a safe mix-up, and back off, Tager style XD @Star - go ahead, may the faster 5C/j.C win lol. If Mu's j.B wasn't as crappy as it is then I'd probably pick her up too. Too late now though, 2 characters is my limit until Nine/Phantom gets made a playable character. I like them psycho, magical bitches lol.
  2. Yeah, I do some "offensive zoning". I zone and slowly push the opponent into the corner, at which point I can react to them trying to escape the corner. I'm gonna upload the last match that I had with Psykotik so that you can actually see what I'm talking about lol.
  3. Oh... here I am giving my pretty speech about being lame and you were talking about reversals lol. Meh, if I can stay out of their range and use auto-bait strings then I'm good to go. If I score a knockdown mid-screen, instead of trying to go for oki I just look for the reversal or react to the forward role if they decide to use it. If they neutral tech and I don't see a reversal then I just continue to zone, slowly pushing them into the corner. Thank God 2B low profiles under Makoto's DP when spaced properly lol. @D_E - I was playing Plat earlier and was losing to some random ass shit. I got pretty damn salty, got into Ethereal's room and lost 3 times in a row with Plat. Pretty decisive losses most of the time. Now let's face it, Plat is not going to zone Ragna anytime soon. I'd need superior footsie skills in able to do that (which I don't have). So I said, "what if, instead of trying to get myself into risky situations, I just use my zoning tools to the best of my ability?" It worked lol
  4. Well yeah, I can only zone so much until somebody gets in or I push somebody to the corner with slow TK Ice Sword C approaches. Until then, TK Ice Swords, j.Cs, 66 5B(1)s, and 5C awl dei. Of course that only works on a handful of characters. Litchi and Mu would laugh at me trying to do that as they can nullify the swords with staff and lasers and get in at their own leisure. The heavy zoners would be like "oh, we playing that game, huh?". Platinum will just random Heart Car me trying to zone for 4K+. Pretty much the only characters that this approach truly works on is Ragna, Tager, Carl, Relius and Valk to an extent. I could try it against Makoto, Noel, Hakumen, and Tsubaki but they have their own ways to shut that down and Tsubaki can use the chance to charge stocks. I can also try it against Plat but she's pretty damn random herself and she can confirm crap into 4K+ easily, that and she can use that chance to cycle trough weapons until she find one that helps her neutral.
  5. That's my new fighting style, I'm just gonna zone people the hell out unless I'm playing one of the heavy zoners (Lambda, Rachel, Hazama, etc) at which point I need to work my way in slowly. GGs Psykotik, I've never lamed somebody out so hard in my life lol. Most of those wins were times outs and me running away XD Really though, I'm not about to go in and risk eating a reversal or getting random'd out. Nope, I'm gonna play as careful as possible from now on and just fish for CHs and react to approaches accordingly.
  6. The thing is that you pretty much have to mash when you're getting juggled/eating an air combo lest you wanna eat blue beats for breakfast (except against Tager when magnetized). So what people need to do is mash A in the air, react to the tech flash, and hold barrier immediately afterwards. @Star-Demon - as much as I hate Linhua, she seems like a potential playable candidate. They'll probably try a "bring your mentor/motherly figure to her senses/back from the dark side".
  7. I was actually talking about Jin lol. His j.C pretty much just raped whatever I tried to do with Plat.
  8. GGs Ethereal, Gli, Koopa, Hinisori, and those random Plats that make my sodium levels rise to the roof. I've got the combos and the mix-up but those other Plat's got the random factor going for them. "Derp, he pushed a button, Heart Car!" I'll play some more when I get back, gotta do some shit real quick. Also, lulz Etheral, I'm not even fucking with Ragna anymore. I'm just gonna lame him the hell out, stay out of ID's range, use auto-ID bait pressure, and IB > DP everything until I get you scared. Seems to have worked pretty well lol.
  9. That's if they gave you enough time for it to become a purple throw, otherwise you'll get a "Throw Counter/Green TRM" lol. @Toan - Well, in that case... lol Did you mean to jump when that happened? Maybe you reacted to the Burst subconsciously lol.
  10. You should know by now that throws are untechable on reaction when dealing with netplay. You can tech it if you see it coming but not if you try to react to it. OS tech can only take you so far until you start getting TRM'd. I'm with you on that, pretty free to throws because I know I tech it on time and netplay is all like "lol nope, this is netplay, whatchu doing trying to tech on reaction?" lol
  11. GGs, yup, twas fun. @ Cross - Man, that shit... was shit. Ruined my no damage runs more often that I can count.
  12. Also, GOOD DAY TO YOU SIR
  13. lol zeth, forever alone. I'd play you but yeah, I just got done with a 100 match set and it's 1:30 AM. Time to sleep lol.
  14. DarkKen? I vaguely remember having that guy kick me after I won a few matches lol. @Jyo - nope, it has to be done mid-screen. If you do that in the corner then you get hit or are forced to block my 5C after TK Swallow j.B whiffs, depending on your back dash timing.
  15. That's me trying to join random rooms. My usual victim is a room that's often called "Cheesecake" hosted by ExcelBlitzBlue (Tao). I join that room, wreck everybody in it until people leave one by one, and then the owner plays a couple more matches and disbands the room just to recreate it a few seconds later. It's okay, I can take a hint XD I remember when cookie used to do the same shit to me back in the day (she still does but she has her "reasons") lol
  16. I slowly creep on you with those TK Ice Blade Cs, and then I'm all up in your face lol. Mu orb (AoH) is the bane of my existence though, that thing is too good with covering you unless I call you out on it with 2D, 5D, or Ice Wave. Some advice for you, Star, don't be so predictable with your Bursts. I baited that shit like 90% of the time lol. Oh and that super mash, I called you out on it every single time as well XD @Cross - Jyo tried to do that shit to me, I'm like "nope, I learned my lesson from Ethereal". Cat Face/Hammer > Jin's wake-up options lol.
  17. The thing is that I saw you trying to frame trap. No point in pushing buttons if I see you trying to frame trap me. If you delay the 2A and do 5C then that's an automatic frame trap. I'd rather not push buttons but wait for an opportunity to IB and jump out or back dash. I seriously need to start doing IB barrier more often to push you out though. That's an extremely gimmicky thing to do, OS DP bait beats that cleanly unless you have the meter to DP D. Man-up and try to block the mix-up. If you know the TK Swallow j.B is coming then back dash and avoid it. You probably saw me back dashing your obvious 6A attempts. I had a feeling it was coming and I know for a fact that I can't react to it, so instead of trying to guess block, I just back dash or jump out. It sure as hell beats eating 5-6K for getting your DP punished every time, don't you think?
  18. Dash forward or Invul Spin when you feel it's coming. Push 5B or use Ignis yo-yo on IB. The only time when you're truly screwed is if you're in your last Primer, I make you air tech and force you to block the 2D, RC it, use another 2D, RC that 2D and use another 2D and put you in danger state where I can spam AUBs. I did that to this one Jin. Hilarity ensued when I spammed Fubuki and he kept on air teching XD Edit: Asaltacunas - robate el wi-fi del vecino jaja
  19. lmao, I know a chilango when I hear one Yup, I need to get a mic but you need to get better internet carnal XD
  20. That feeling when I counted your jumps, timed the Hammer perfectly just as you landed from your second jump and got you with the unblockable. Also, that feeling of punishing DP D with a super jump, falling Hammer lol. Truly priceless stuff. You were jumping up and down even when I didn't have the Hammer equipped, you actually did that at every section of the screen lmao. Here's the thing Jyo, you're actually not that bad. You're good at picking out patterns and reacting accordingly. Your ability to pressure and use of frame traps is also pretty strong. What kills you is YOUR own patterns. You seriously need to stop using DPs on wake-up all the damn time IF you're getting punished every single time. You need to stop up + backing IF you keep on getting AUB'd and IAD grabbed. You need to stop using D Ice Car like that. You need to stop using 6C > DC during pressure. You also need to work on your hit-confirms. You're not that bad at hit-confirming but you still auto-pilot Sekkajin from time to time (specially during that ambiguous j.2C > j.C mix-up).
  21. Yup and yup @Errol - DP B without meter, DP D with meter. The chances of him doing DP on wake-up no matter how many times I punished him were astonishingly high lol. In the same light, the chances of him holding up back and jumping up and down in the corner were also ridiculous lol. Thank God for the Hammer, Miracle Jean, and OS against Jin's DP B/C lol.
  22. By God I did, it took a hundred matches but I finally beat the Netplay out of you, Jyo. My head hurts, my stomach hurts, my legs are weak... no more BB for today. That was the single longest set in my history of BB. I said to myself "if it takes me 100 matches to finally condition him into not doing... on.... " Then, "if it takes me 100 matches to finally condition him into not... back during all of my pressure" Fill in the blanks
  23. You can if you use the C version, same goes with the A version if I'm too late on my timing. I'mm a coming boy (Starlight)
  24. It depends on which projectiles they are and in what section of the screen they're used. I can pogo through Spike Chaser, Ice Blades, and B/C Lobelias (without wind boost) like nothing. I can't pogo Lambda's Ds, Spark Bolt on reaction, I can react to it but the projectile invul doesn't kick in until after frame 8. I need to train myself to pogo Death Spike, that's pretty much the only move that allows me to land an FC with it. I also need to train myself to pogo Jin's 2D and 6D, as well as Ignis yo-yo. Then there are moves which are not worth pogo'ing through because you'll get hit during recovery like Bang's nails, Pumpkin, wind boosted Lobelias, Sword Iris, chains (retractable), Litchi's Ds, Volante, Stein lasers, etc. I need to try it against Plat's missiles and bombs and see how that works out lol.
  25. I'll play whoever is available in about 10 minutes. Gotta finish updating this one section of the Plat combo thread or else my OCD will kick in.
