  1. 1.) Bang can just 2D through your j.236D, hell, he can even 2D your j.D. People with DPs can just DP through your j.236D or after they block it since most of us Jins think "lol, +22 on block, here I come to pressure you" but a simple DP will shatter that misconception. 2.) It's not a bad combo as most combos from 5C will do about 3400 damage, meterless, just as the one you were attempting, so go for it. 3.) Most of us Jins have that problem but try baiting their 2Ds and punish them since they'll be expecting a falling j.B, lol. 4.) Sekka-Jin combos do about 2800-3000 meterless, combos from 3C barely scratch the 2500 damage mark even with the 214Ds, so yeah, they're definitely worth it. That and you'll be using them a lot in CS XD As for Bang being in the bottom, I'm not sure, his max damage output and poor defensive options might have something to do with it.
  2. As suggested, I usually go for the 214D > 2B > Tech Trap (jumping grab lol) but that 4000 damage is very tempting. Being close to the corner, then I guess it really is better to just sacrifice the extra 500-something damage from the 214D > 2C > 623B > 623A combo ender and end the combo with a 214B/C for the guaranteed corner pressure.
  3. 1.) Refrain from using j.D cross-ups, you're in a world of shit if it gets reacted to and IB'd. 2.) I couldn't help but notice that you were going for a weird combo after a 5C CH. Something like 5C (CH) > 6C > DC > 5C > sJC > j.B > j.C > j.D > (land) 5C > sJC > j.C > 214(?). Does that even work? If it does, how much damage does it reward you with? If you have or are close to having 25 Heat then it's best to go for the 5C (CH) > 6C > DC > 5C > 6C > DC > j.B > j.C > JC > j.C > j.D > 214D > 2C > 623B > 623A combo for about 4000 damage, 3700 damage if you're not close enough to the corner for the 2C corner follow-ups. 3.) Be very careful when abusing j.B against a grounded Bang, 2D hurts. 4.) Do you know your Sekka-Jin combos? If not then you better learn them as that's the only way to get some decent damage off 5B in the ground. Other than that, you'll just have to play more Bangs that know what they're doing and learn to react to the various mix-ups. I gotta admit, I too have a problem with Bangs that know what they're doing even though the match is in Jin's favor XD Edit: I tested out your 5C (CH) > 6C > DC > 5C > sJC > j.B > j.C > j.D > (land) 5C > sJC > j.C > 214B combo, it does about 3400 damage. So yeah, it's better to go for the 5C (CH) > 6C > DC > 5C > 6C > DC > j.B > j.C > JC > j.C > j.D > 214D > 2C > 623B > 623A for the 4000 damage.
  4. Bleh, so it looks like we're really stuck with the crappy DP C (CH) > 66 > 5B > 5C/j.A combo.
  5. That j.A should be a j.A from a super jump, that's why the j.D misses. I've seen in some videos something like DP C (CH) > 5B > 5C > Air Combo so give that a try sometime. Was it ever confirmed if DP C (CH) > 66 > 5C > Air Combo works?
  6. His battle uniform is white and black with the gold trims. Heh, Code Geass is one of the first anime shows that I've watched.

  7. White Jin reminds me a bit more of Suzaku, what with the brown hair and the white/gold uniform XD

  8. Yup, BB's story is pretty good for a fighting game. I'll have to go with the white Jin in CS since I don't really like any of the other colors, I don't really like that black Jin with green hair in CS XD

  9. Looks like you'll be more than ready to kick ass when CS hits the consoles XD

  10. So is your Ragna, playing offline is doing you good so it seems.

  11. I'm game, same time as always.

  12. Hey, you damn perv D:

  13. Oh yeah... >:[

  14. My angry smiley, it failed me XD

  15. You'll get your chance to kick my ass tomorrow, well that's only if I don't get knocked out too soon, lol. Add me and I'll try to get some games with you when I get the chance even though they're all going to be free wins for you XD

  16. Lol my Jin is far from being at a tourney level, I can tell you that since I've gone to 2 local tournaments in the past and I didn't make it past the 2nd round of the Losers Bracket. The competition was tough, so I have no regrets. I've improved since the last tournament so I'll look forward to going to another one soon and try to make it past the 2nd round XD As for the JC'ing pressure resets, I was actually waiting for that Rachel to use 6A on reaction but since it never happened, I just continued to use that same JC pressure reset. I know what you mean by that, I learned that cold fact first-hand when I fought Kid_Viper in the past, he smacked me clean out of the air with his DP As and forced me to not rely on JC'ing as much, lol. Yeah, I was going for a Throw > DP B > 5C > sJC > j.C > j.D > Air Dash > j.B > j.C > j.214B in the corner but I used 5C too early and dropped the combo. Too bad that 6A > DP B doesn't work on Rachel, Jin, Litchi and Carl, that's probably my favorite thing to do in the corner after 6A. Speaking of 6A, I should really start using it more often, that along with 6D. It's just that I usually spend my meter on j.236Ds for the +20 on block, especially in the corner after a 214B knockdown. The opponent has the choice to roll forward, neutral wake-up and standing still or neutral wake-up and jumping. If they roll forward they'll eat an Ice Sword, if they go for the neutral wake-up and standing still then they'll have to block it and if they go for the neutral wake-up and jumping afterwards they'll have to block it too. I'll do everything I can to keep someone in the corner. Max damage combos off DP D in the corner, I'll be sure to use those more frequently in the future. 5D'ing after landing, I should start using 5D more frequently as well, I should make the most of it now that it's still an amazing poke. Well since I don't use 5D that often then I won't really miss it in CS XD Lol yeah, I know not to run behind an Ice Sword or follow a 3C combo ender with 236C against Hakumen, I learned the hard way. I usually keep my distance against Hakumen and look for openings, all while baiting his Drives after I get punished by them. Thanks for the feedback, I'll be sure to work with all these tips that you guys have given me.
  17. You make a good point there, I'll have to start using 6D more often, not too often because it might get predictable but just enough to keep the opponents modest. I've seen that 6D spam somewhere against a Rachel in a CS video, so I guess that it is a viable pressure string against someone without a DP.
  18. I used that Sekka-Jin combo because it places the opponent perfectly in the corner if close enough to it after the j.214B, otherwise I would have gone for the 5C > 6C combo since it would have done more damage, lol. I don't use 6D that much because I fear that I will just get jabbed out of it given its slow start-up time. The only thing that comes to mind is that you used about 3 6Ds in a row, I should have jabbed you or DP C'd out of it but the lag was kinda messing with us. Especially near the end where I would have IB'd that Ice Sword but instead I ate it as the finishing touch to the match XD
  19. I usually do that j.B cross-up in the corner due to pure luck and I think to myself "lol at that random corner squeeze cross-up". I saw someone do the jump over > back dash cross-up on me in the past but didn't know how to recreate it. Good stuff, I'll be sure to practice these in the future.
  20. Yeah, I was trying to be psychic and hit Rachel with the DD if she summoned the Pumpkin or threw a Lobelia/Frog. As for that Sekka-Jin combo, you have to dash-in before 5C.
  21. That's a solid Jin you got there. The only thing I can tell you to not do is to go for a grab after freezing with j.D, it's easy to break out of. I usually go for 66 > 5B > 5C > 3C > 236C when I know that the j.D > 66 > 5C > j.B > j.C > j.214B will not combo. That or you could have gone for another 66 > 5C > j.B > j.A (whiff) reset. There's that and you should intercept a Jin if he comes at you after a dash cancel since he'll be at a -4 frame disadvantage, just be careful for those sneaky bastards who like to sneak in a DP C after dashing. I might as well go ahead and post one of my videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRP1d0uBy78 I shouldn't be telling people to work on their hit-confirmation when I myself need to work on that aspect. I will tell you beforehand that the 5C jump cancel mid-combo near the end was intentional to continue the pressure, I couldn't afford to have that Rachel somehow break out of the corner if I continued the combo and ended it with a B Ice Car.
  22. Like BANGER said, only attack when you know that you won't get beat by Bang's 5A or j.A. Bang still has 5A in CT, that which is going to beat everything you throw at him point-blank. You could take a chance and go for a 2A as Bang's 5A will whiff against a crouching Jin but other than that, expect to block against Bang for long periods of time. You also need to work on hit-confirming. There was a time somewhere near the end of video where the Bang whiffed a 2D, that was your cue for a 5C > 6C combo but instead you timed it late and the Bang got a chance to get up. You did hit him with 5C but you used 6D afterwards for some reason, that which whiffed and was punished. Refrain from using the j.D cross-up. If you're going for cross-ups then just stick with good old j.B, it's safer, faster and has more range than j.D. I would go check the CT Jin vs Bang thread for more information but you'll have to learn the match-up through sweat and tears in the end XD
  23. ^^ What he said, props to shtkn for making this alternative skin.
  24. I'm not much of a mind reader, I couldn't just deduce that you meant "whatever followup" by posting "Jin" on its own, my mind just assumed "Jin... Sekka-Jin?" XD But yeah, 6A CH > 5C > Rest of Combo is a no-no, just wanted to clarify that little fact for you guys.
