  1. You don't have to IB though, you simply press Forward A+B. GGs back there, there is one glaring habit that you tend to go for and that is 5C > 6C > DP B. Learn to hit-confirm 5C CHs instead of throwing around 5C > 6C at random. Oh and that combo you wanted is 5B > 5C > Sekka-Jin > DP B > 6C > 6D > IAD > j.2C > j.C > (dashing) 5B > 2B > 5C > 3C > 236D.
  2. Sure, I'm usually available after 5:00 PM EST.

  3. No, like they were trying to mash simply for the sake of mashing and getting out of pressure for free.
  4. Pretty much this, I still have to work on hit-confirms off 2B, 3C and 2C (Jin) and my reactions in general.
  5. Heheh, I usually do those 5C > j.B combos on Tager since Sekka-Jin > 6C > 2D seems to whiff on his ass more often than not.
  6. Wait a sec, does 3C > 236D still work near the corner or will the opponent be able to tech out? I assume that 3C > 236C oki will be risky now at least. Oh well, his buffs easily make up for a nerfed 3C. I don't really care about DP D loops, to be honest.
  7. Heheh, I've been using that gimmick lately. It's just that though, a gimmick, people catch on to it quickly. Still, it's good to give them something else to worry about.
  8. Alright, go ahead and add me if you want.

  9. If you're going for a 5C(CH) combo, then go with 5C(CH) > 6C > 2D > 6C > DC > 5C > 6C > DC > j.C > JC > j.2C > Ice Car C/D; that's the most damaging combo off a 5C(CH) that I know of. The standard is 5C(CH) > 6C > 2D > (dashing)6B > Sekka-Jin > 6C > Ice Car C, it awards better oki than the prior and it's easier to pull off. @Partialartist - I'm not too fond of that "gimmick", you're sacrificing damage and 25 heat for a reset. The meter is better spent on the more damaging combos or the better ice resets off 3C > 236D near the corner. That's my opinion at least, good job thinking outside the box though.
  10. I can't tell if this guy is trolling or if he's just plain slow. Judging from his posts, I'll go with the latter.
  11. Not too bad, just ease up on using 623B as a "frame-trap" after blocked 3Cs and 6Cs. That and I notice that you'll often opt to use 3C combos as opposed to Sekka-Jin combos. They both lead to the j.D > (air dash) j.2C > j.C > (dashing) 5B > 2B > 5C > 3C but the one from Sekka-Jin does more damage. I guess that you're afraid that the last hit of Sekka-Jin might miss but that's why you shouldn't use it if you don't have dashing/6B's momentum.
  12. Am I the only one who completely hates the change they made to 6A? The fuck? You just hit them with the overhead and that's that? They could have at least added knockdown to it if they were going for that approach. They went from wasting 50 heat to prevent punishment to using 50 heat to have that shit combo into something. Landing 6A as a counter hit will never happen, so the move is basically worthless now, in my opinion at least.
  13. I've been sticking to Jin up to this point, I tried Makoto and Valk but they didn't really appeal to me, along with the rest of the cast. Plat is my last hope for a sub, otherwise I'll just have to stick to Jin.

  14. I remember you from the CT days, I used to be a match for you back then but nowadays the matches are usually in your favor. We should have some mirrors now and then though.

  15. It looks slightly faster, might just be us going mad from all these Jin buffs. It's good to know that Sekka-Jin hits Plat, I wonder if it now works on Lambda and Carl outside of dashing 6Bs.
  16. More Jin buffs? *manly tears* No more missing the last hit of Sekka-Jin against Ragna or Hakumen with their weird ass hit-boxes.
  17. So did Jin keep his 2C > 5C gatling and his 214B's knockdown properties? His 5C > 5D combos are going to be that much better with 214B knockdown. 5C > 5D is a godsend in my opinion, a viable way to combo when one is too far away to land Sekka-Jin or 3C > 2B combos. I don't give too much of a shit about its use outside of combos if this happens. Now make 6A gatling/cancel into something on block and Jin will be nearly perfect for me. I'm tired of eating Tager busters and 3K combos on blocked 6As :/
  18. So did Jin keep his 2C > 5C gatling and his 214B's knockdown properties? 5C > 5D is damn good, viable combos from max range go-go. Everyone else, I'm sorry for your loss... *snickers*
  19. His 6A? It has guard point but I don't think it has it on the first active frame. There's that and his 632146D has some invisibility on start-up.
  20. I kinda feel the same way. Be wary of 2B and 3C because they low-profile under Jin's 5B and 5C. His lack of a DP or other defensive maneuver hurts Valk, use that to your advantage and go for your best pressure strings. Wait for him to come to you as opposed to you chasing him because he has good anti-airs and good pokes to stop your approach if you're not careful.
  21. Hell, you really shouldn't use that gatling at all if possible, I usually stuff those with an IB > 5B > Air Combo. I see that you sometimes just randomly throw out j.Bs; I don't know what you were trying to accomplish with that as they would obviously miss. That Lambda could have even punished you for it. You could have also just stuffed her 214Ds with 2D when you were pinned against the corner in the first match. I'll watch the rest of the videos later.
  22. DJ_Blactricity wanted some feedback with regards to his current Jin from this match: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_5HB265Edg I say that he plays a solid Jin, he has some nice resets and he knows the mirror match quite well. As for me, I need to stop using 236D in block-strings as this isn't CT, hell, that move isn't that safe in CT either. I also need to pressure better with 2A and use j.A (whiff) > j.B conservatively. I definitely learned some good stuff from this match and I admit that I was outplayed even when I won.
  23. Now this is a nice combo, it's easier to perform and it's more reliable than my starting combo from the guide as it works on everyone except Carl and it might work if you go for a j.B > d.5C > Sekka-Jin starter on Lambda.
  24. Yup, making 2C relatively safe now that it gatlings into the JC'able 5C and making 214B knockdown again is a pretty damn good by my book.
