  1. That Ohio-to-Indy connection is too good, it's just that Errol lives in the middle of nowhere or something
  2. Shaddap, that's how I win games
  3. Yeah, I was wondering why I only lagged with you after I played Greenjeans and Gigaitachi lol, GGs though.
  4. Mah nigga GGs to everyone I played today
  5. The Plat vs Jin MU is probably slightly in Plat's favor. Her 2B topples his j.C is he's trying to fish for CHs with that. 2C is great for stopping cross-up attempts. Her 5B is about even with Jin's 5C, it has slightly more range than his 5C but it's slightly slower. Jin's 6C > 2D doesn't work too well on Plat, so Jin has to settle for weaker combos outside of Sekkajin range. Jin's only a real threat in air-to-air battles with j.C and when he has you in the corner with some meter handy.
  6. Nice gimmick there lol: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wO8YobVrLc#t=1m28s
  7. GGs to everyone I played today Shoutouts to 3-bar connection lag lol
  8. lol, that's one funny ass looking sword. Great, another Terumi, just what we needed. As long as Bloodedge or Torakaka aren't made into playable characters, all will be good with the world. I wouldn't mind a playable Trinity though, it'd be nice to see Trinity use better alchemy magic. JP release date of late October makes for some bittersweet news as it's still a long time away (even more for NA) but that gives them time to add characters that people have really been waiting for like Saya, Jubei, Phantom/Nine, Kokonoe, etc.
  9. Remember that there's still the whole "world's anti-body" (Jin) and the "world chaos" (Ragna) thing going on there. So even when Jin has overcome Yukianesa's psychological influence, his role as the world's anti-body still forces him to want to kill Ragna. Well that and he's still a psycho with a brother complex.
  10. If anything, CP is going to be more fast-paced with the shortened hit-stop on moves and Overdrive. Hakumen can destroy you in a matter of seconds if he has enough Magatamas and his OD. You really don't want to be blocking in these games unless you absolutely have to (you whiffed a move, you're minus on block, you're getting up after getting knocked down, your opponent has better pokes, etc).
  11. It works with most starters as long as they're not something like 5A/2A. Where exactly in the combo does it start to blue beat for you?
  12. As a starter or during a combo? If it's the latter, you really don't get much extra damage from the Gold Burst, even with a good starter like 6C. I really didn't bother looking into ways to implement them into combos because of that.
  13. Nope, you're right, this game is very offense based. That's why there are things like Negative Penalty if you run away too much or if you try to push your opponent out all the time with Barrier. However, spacing and blocking are still important aspects of the game. Knowing how to IB > Barrier to push your opponent out, how to look for an escape route through jumps, back dashes, reversals and how to get around your opponents' pokes is essential knowledge. Otherwise you'll just get pressured to death.
  14. I know the combo thread can be intimidating as it covers pretty much every single starter. The problem with the thread is that most combos are essentially the same, just done with different starters. For example, mid-screen, most combos that starts with a freeze are going to look like Freeze starter > [6B/j.2C > j.C] > 66 5B > Sekkajin > 6C > 214C. So for the next iteration, I'll just mention the combo paths instead of listing every single combo possible. Symm has pretty much covered everything when it comes to combo "rules". The thing about CSE is that there are a ridiculous amount of combos that depend on the starter, positioning, screen positioning, your opponent's stance (standing, crouching, air, CH), and even your opponent's hurt-box. So if we're to cover them all, we'd end with a thread as ridiculously huge as mine lol.
  15. When the connection is more than a 0 lol
  16. GGs to Errol and TD Dem laggy ass matches there, I can tell you that it wasn't me this time lol
  17. Haha, so that wasn't Jyosua there with that Noel? I was like "where's the Jyosua that kids know and love?" If that really was Jyosua, then my hats off to him for learning Noel to such an extent. You give me too much credit, most of the time I'm just throwing shit out there and seeing if I hit people or not lol. Anyways, GGs to everyone I played today.
  18. My super frying pan/bat > your Carnage Scissors lol GGs to everyone I played So much salt out there
  19. Just go to training mode and set the AI to level 100 Bear in mind that playing against the AI can really only help your hit-confirms, your reactions, and your execution. The AI can read your inputs, it does some questionable things and has a set pattern when doing certain things.
  20. Can't wait to lay down treasure chests and watch as people either kill themselves or are forced to drop their combos lol
  21. The only time I could see OD Yukikaze work is if you do wake-up OD and then Yukikaze, sort of how Tager does his wake-up OD > 720. Then again, you'd be better off just doing DP D since you can combo off of it anywhere during OD.
  22. I might have lost that round but it was worth trying those bad gimmicks lol. Jin... when all else fails try some questionable stuff, it might just work.
  23. I thought "well shit, he's got almost the entire life lead on me, time to switch my super gimmick mode on to try and even things out". As for the latter, I lol'd, hard. Here we are with a pixel of health each and I decide to do TK j.236C from full-screen while you try that BBS crap, I thought I was dead but I got the last laugh in the end mwahahaha.
  24. GG Errol, 18 matches until the lag kicked in and I know where it's coming from. Can't a man netplay in peace? Shoutouts to scumbag triple pink throws Shoutouts to my Ice Blade beating your Giant Punch Super lol
