lol, I was like "please miss that infinite rush thingy again so that I can get yet another free combo". When's CP Jin?
-
Remember when Noel 5A was +3 on block? lololol
-
GGs Errol The fact that I lost even a single match with Jin means that I'm ass with him now and he's ass as a character in general lol Edit: Read me like a book, there are 4 different Plat combos that don't work on Makoto, screw that lol
-
Can't argue with either of you. I hate all of your characters, specially Lambda and Tao, a lot more than Hakumen.

Mucky posting a serious wall of text? It's the end of the world lol I think I'm the only one who hasn't had much beef with the chick. I think she did complain about Platinum being dumb but then again, most people complain to me about Platinum being dumb lol I learned my lesson about wasting time with people on the net since the LIEUTENANT days. As far as help goes, I only provide it if someone asks me for it nowadays. I'm tired of having my words go through deaf ears (blind eyes?). If people don't ask for your help, then they probably don't want it and will feel insulted if you provide it.

Like someone said before, the thing about blue beat combos is that they could happen from a would be "legit combo". So if they mistime their confirm by a frame or two, it might turn into a blue beat combo. You never know when your opponent will drop a combo and I'd rather not take any chances. As for staggers, yes they have a different length depending on the character and the move, you just have to learn how long the stagger lasts for that move by that character. Staggers are consistent, blue beat combos can happen at random. Consistent in a way that the same move from that same characters will always stagger for a set amount of time, a bit longer on CH. There's not THAT many moves that can cause stagger so it's not too farfetched to learn the timings for the commonly used ones like Ragna's 22C. @ Mac - I believe that we're talking about CSE at this point. There's absolutely no reason why you should mash in CP and take the chance of overshooting the mash or missing the teching time when you can just hold a button and tech perfectly for free.
-
No... Where did you hear that? If you don't mash tech, you're prone to eating blue beat combos. You just have to be careful and not overshoot the mashing after the tech flash or else you'll eat a "dropped combo reset" lol. Well that and tech traps. During air combos mash A, react to the tech flash, and stop mashing immediately after that. If you're going to emergency tech or recover from a stagger, one push is all that is needed. Of course don't mash buttons (unless you have a defensive move) when you're eating a ground combo or else you'll eat a "dropped combo frame trap" lol tl:dr - Mash A during air combos but be aware of tech traps, push a button once for emergency techs and stagger recovery, and don't push any buttons during ground combos.

We've lost mid-screen Sekkajin, our main source of damage in EX so we have to compensate by burning meter in CP to reach and surpass our usual amount of damage from most hit-confirms. Using meter for combos in EX was more of an optional thing (IMO), burning meter would get you something like 500-800 points of extra damage. In CP, you can almost double the amount of damage from hit-confirms by using 25 Heat. In EX, I build meter so that I can use it to Guard Crush my opponent after they used up their Green Burst or to have good reversal and screen coverage/mix-up options with DP D and j.236D. I only use meter for extra damage if it's for the kill. I wear my opponent down and then overwhelm them with all the meter I've built up using my various tools. However, in CP, the damage that you get from spending meter is just too good to pass up. A 5B confirm without meter does like a little over 2K. With 25 Heat, it does around 3.6K. That's a huge damage boost for so little meter lol.
-
Count me in with the "group of dumbfucks who will trade meter for damage". 3.6K mid-screen from a 5B starter with 25 Heat is too good to pass up in this game.

I used to do those FT50s with Jyosua almost every time we were both online lol Errol gets some FT30s The rest of PSN gets FT5s or FT10s

Jesus Christ Fenrichi 5C > 6B loop, the future of mid-screen OD combos lol I find it lulzy that this game is turning out to be more loop-friendly than its predecessor, even with the SMP restrictions. Jin - 5C > 6B x N (OD) Platinum - j.C > j.D Missile x N Bang - OTG 2B > 6B x N (FC) Hazama - j.CCCCC > 66 5B x N Hakumen - j.2C > 5A x N Mu - OD Stein Explosion loop Tao - Almost Becoming Two loops ,,, and some more that I might have missed
-
Good shit That was some Japanese-tier combo material right there.

Xntrikcat vs. Akira-Shiro FT10 - Wed. 1/23/2013 8PM EST
Moy_X7 replied to xntrikcat's topic in BlazBlue Online Play
Pffft, you're worried about derailing THIS thread? lol This should be fun though, make sure to put up a good show, xntrik XD @Errol - Meh, I do that against every and any player as long as the opportunity presents itself. I won't go way out of my way to try to AH someone if it might cost me the match. -
We got loops lol That loop should work with anything that leads to 2D as well.
-
I use C or Barrier to pop it, never thought of doing an air throw to pop it but it should work if the opponent is up+back happy.
-
So many combos lol It's good to see that 214B (no follow-up) works in OD combos as I imagined. Also, 5B to 5K with low OD meter and 50 Heat, me gusta.
-
Yeah, nostalgia hit me hard and I found myself playing the first Digimon World game. I like its battle system, its stat system, and its abilities system. I'll probably play the game for another week and then go back to BB lol.
-
I should try a match-start Persia one of these days lol. It goes over 3C and through 5D/6D/TK Crescent. I can pogo through Spike Chaser on reaction but not through Sickle Storm... yet.
-
Can anyone give me a link to 3C > 236D used in a video? Or are we just speculating? If 3C > 236D works and the recovery is fast enough to use an empty jump mix-up ala CS Jin, then count me in on wasting meter for that reset lol
-
That Yumekami match reminds me of the times where I just don't give a damn. Wake-up Mami, Mami GC, da bess

I believe so
