Yeah, you're better off going for a reset from a DP C starter since it does crap damage anyways. I for one will probably be doing a lot of that DP C CH > 5C > 2C > 2D > j.2C > j.C > 66 5B > 5C > 22C > 66 5A/5B reset. If they don't recover from the stagger on time, then I can always tack on the standard combo finisher (5B > 5C > 3C > 214B > C) as a blue beat lol.

Mid-screen DP C is legit off a regular confirm? It's official, CP Jin da bess Jin. 4.3K off a throw with minimum gauge OD and 50 Heat, sounds legit, there's no Burst gap either. Edit: Oh yeah, ask Ho-chan if Ice Blades freeze during OD.

I remember seeing some crap like (Magnetized) Combo > Air Combo > Air Pink Throw *throw gets teched* > j.360 and it pulled the opponent after they teched. I wonder if there's a way around that and if it will be a viable gimmick lol.

He did say that Ada was "no good" and that's why he abandoned that "project". Maybe Ada lacked the hatred needed to become a "good" Detonator.

If Ada's soul was implanted into Nirvana before Ignis was implanted into the "Detonator", then I guess she secretly hated Relius for what she did to her daughter. However, I'm not sure which one of the Clover females was turned into a doll first so that theory can be completely wrong.

Now that I didn't know. I just guessed that he created "Detonators" because he gets a kick out of it lol. Yeah, I believe that Makoto is suppressing her hatred for humans but Relius knows how to make those thoughts surface gain. Relius is always going on about "Yes, hatred is good" and "your soul is interesting". Still, there might be more to Makoto's soul than just her suppressed hatred. The "bonds of friendship" make her soul strong as well from what we've learned in her CSE story mode. Then again, that contradicts the whole "hatred makes your soul stronger" theory that Relius is always preaching about.

Relius says that her soul would be a good material to create a "Detonator" (a doll like Ada or Ignis). According to Relius, souls that have a lot of hatred within are great for his experiments. Deep inside, Makoto hates humans for all the shit they gave her for being a Beastkin as she grew up, until she met Noel and Tsubaki at the Military Academy. Makoto shoves those thoughts deep in the back of her mind. It's all in Relius's arcade mode and in CSE Makoto's story mode.

You apply a low/high weak point with a Drive attack. Certain Drive attacks gain new properties that help out in combos (stagger, wall bounce, ground bounce, etc) depending on the weak point (high/low) that has been applied before using said moves. His Black Hawk Stinger becomes fully unblockable if you apply both weaknesses. Read the first post for more info on that. There might be a small period of time when he's in a recovery state but I wouldn't count on it.

Correct, if you get hit during OD, you won't be able to Burst out as long as the combo doesn't get dropped. lol, where did you hear that? SMP is still applied to moves even in OD. Burst =/= SMP. The duration of OD combos depend on the effects granted by the OD itself as well as the OD gauge duration that's relative to your health (the lower it is, the longer it lasts.)

In case you missed it, the only place where you can try to Burst out of that combo is during the air dash before the OD. Since it's the only chance that you get to Burst out, it will be incredibly easy to bait the Burst.
