Holy shit, the recovery period is almost non-existent, it's almost as good as catching projectiles with Hakumen's counters. I stand corrected then, Growler field away lol.

Really? Does he not go through a recovery period after using Growler? Surely those characters I mentioned could wait for him to recover and punish him.

I'm pretty sure that his Growler works like Yukiko's Dia: full-body guard point (ala Mu's DP) on start-up and then just projectile guard point/absorption for as long as you hold Growler. You're most likely vulnerable after the brief full-body guard point duration and that's why using it against projectiles that can be chased is a really bad idea.

Growler has the same downside that Plat's Air Persia has: really bad recovery. Only a handful of projectiles should be absorbed with Growler. You don't want to try and absorb projectiles that can be chased like Litchi's staff, Plat's missiles and bombs, Rachel's Pumpkin, Carls' Volante, Hazama's chains, etc.

His health doesn't even have to be that low from what we've seen in that video. He'll pull that shit off with just slightly below half of his health. The real issue is having an adequate amount of stars. Probably something like 5+ stars for the real big damage. Not every starter will lead to 9K but goddamn will they come close to it lol.

Yeah but I have a really weird controller set-up in order to play Yukiko. There's no room for an AoA macro and I wouldn't put it on the left thumbstick because I know that mashing that shit will break it lol. My setup looks like... Square - Light Attack X - Strong Attack Triangle - Throw O - Evasive Action L1 - Light Persona Attack R1 - Strong Persona Attack L2 - DP R2 - OMC R3 - Burst Setting the AoA macro wouldn't work on L2, R2, L3, or R3 and I need to have the layout specifically like that for the Agi A/B holds. What I do for AoA is push A+B with my thumb and immediately switch my hand stance so that I can tap A > B quickly in a rhythm with my index and middle fingers lol.

I can't take this game too seriously when everyone has a two-button DP that can be canceled into a super with I-frames for more stupid guessing games. The all-out-attack mashing shit is going to be the end of my pad.

The A Agi > Roll is not even a cross-up since I have to let go off A for the roll (A+C), I just have it so that Agi locks you down while I switch sides lol. I could have done IAD > quick turn + Agi cross-up but since you were falling for non-cross-up Agi, I said fuck it lol. It's okay, I don't really play this game either. This is like the fifth day I've touched this game. I'll have to upload that match with the Dia vs Garu clash, that shit was dumb as hell lol.

I'm not even doing that oki setup right, mine has holes all over the place lol. Yukiko is a momentum based character. It's not that easy for her to get a knockdown but when she does, you're going to suffer lol.

You just need the OD to last to the point where you get the 4th star for the second Shippu. The Haku in that video still had quite a bit of OD meter left by the time he ended his combo and killed Hazama lol. With at least 5 Stars + OD for the Tsubaki > Hotaru starter, you'll probably be able to get a little over 7K.

44CD, huh? I felt pretty helpless there without my good ol' Barrier-tech OS lol. I have a lot to learn. It's just too bad that GG will be released on PSN later on today and I will sink most of my free time on that game from now on until CP gets released lol.

Yeah, Coup Droit is not punishable by 2A if you space it properly. Which you did after I punished it a few times. Hahaha, the whole Bursting thing was me not knowing when to Burst against Mitsuru. Everything I did in that match-up, I just picked up from trial and error. It's just too bad that errors cost me a huge chunk of life or all of my life I just read Mitsuru's frame data and I let you get away with some dumb pressure. Of course you exploited my frame data ignorance to the best of your ability as I can tell from those matches. That back dash > swing thingy was fucking me up big time. I tried pushing 2A once and ate over 6K. I was like "are you fucking serious?" lol Yeah, I don't really play this game as you could tell from my total matches (something like 100 matches). So my oki setups are loose and my combos get dropped a lot. AA confirms lead to 3K+ and DP punishes lead to 4K+ with 25 SP, yet I dropped a bunch of those at the 5BB > 236AB part. That cancel is a lot tighter than I originally thought. By the way, my zoning sucks big time. I've never been a fan of zoning characters but Yukiko is the only character that interests me. I guess I'll have to learn how to manage her Persona better.

Yeah, from the little that I've seen, I like what I've seen lol. 5D and j.D Presents have a very long start-up, you'll have to be extremely careful when you drop them. They don't really seem that appealing to me. Now the Treasure Chests, goddamn, those things look fun. They don't disappear on hit, cover a huge vertical area as they're launched when the opponent get close, and lead to big damage. I refuse to believe that 5C > j.D Pan no longer works. I've seen Plats attempt the 5C > j.C loop on taller characters like Tager and Azrael and they seem to still work. j.C has a slower start-up than j.D Pan, it doesn't make sense that 5C > j.D Pan wouldn't work when 5C > j.C does work. At the very least, it should work on 5C CH. Other than that, I really like what they've done with the Pan. It drops her straight to the ground, which means that she can turn air confirms into big damage. That and the ground bounce lasts long enough for 66 6A > 6C > 22C to work. The Hammer still works for at least one rep of the Hammer loop. I very rarely ever use the full Hammer loop anyways unless it's for the kill. So I'm ok with it being dropped to 2 item stocks as opposed to the former 3. Instant Guard Crush is a welcome addition as well lol. The Bat got buffed a bit as 5D CH > 66 5B/5C works. The 6C buff balances its SMP nerf. 5C > 6C crouching confirm works and 6C launches again, which means easier hit-confirms on 6C FC frame traps. I feel indifferent about Happy Magica. It's nice that she has a reversal option but it's a really crappy one. The counter can be triggered and evaded/blocked with a jab, a JC-able move, or a deep jump attack. Accidental JC "baits" are bound to happen. It does have a ridiculous amount of active frames though, so that's a plus lol. Air CDT is just another way to finish your opponent from an air confirm lol.

Japan is taking their sweet old time discovering this character. They're still getting old CSE combos out of their system to this point. Don't expect proper combos, let alone OD combos, until about early next year lol.

GGs Jyo The fact that Coup Droit can't be punished by my 2A on IB and that it does as much damage as one of my BnBs absolutely sickens me. Her DP with that ridiculous hit-box and damage sickens me. DP > super cancel shenanigans sicken me. Reset shenanigans that turn into another 1K damage plus ice oki if I don't tech sickens me. I'm very tempted to sell this game because of you. lol jk (the last part at least) I just need to read the frame damage, spend more time in the lab with Yukiko, and sharpen my reactions to tech throws. My inexperience with this game really shows lol.

GGs Errol The moment that huge lag spike hit me after baiting that Burst in that final match is the moment I said "DONE!" and walked away lol. Moy_X7 learned "throw tech" Moy_X7 forgot "block 6A" Netplay used "lag spikes and input delay"... it's super effective!

The Hakumen player wasn't having any of that shit so he just Yukikaze'd every single one of those Hizangeki reset attempts lol. AD j.2C > j.C > Hizangeki or land 2B/throw is going to be one tricky reset.

I'm guessing that Rachel "played with him" as she does with pretty much every other character and was probably forced to retreat. Rachel being an observer, she's not allowed to go all-out against her opponents, lest bad shit happens to her (lol CS Rachel got kicked in the face by Hazama in her bad ending).
