  1. Oooh, I'm gonna have to go over the short stories thread and see what I can dig. So is Jin's entire body placed in Susano'oh or just his soul?
  2. He's still in one piece by the time that the Alucard family tends to him: http://blazblue.wikia.com/wiki/BlazBlue:_Phase_Shift_2 Covered in bandages but still in one piece.
  3. Phase Shift 2 might lead to some answers since it supposedly focuses on "Jin/Hakumen during the Dark War". Now, who has actually read that thing? lol
  4. Oh yeah, I forgot all about Yukianesa lol. I just can't imagine Hakumen wielding Yukianesa when I've seen him wield the monstrosity that is Ookami.
  5. Question... When exactly did Hakumen get his Nox Nyctores (Ookami)? Was he fighting barehanded up until he met Nine or was the Nox a complimentary gift with his suit of armor? lol
  6. Fighting Nu/Lambda is never fun, no matter which character you're playing as. That Plat was making a lot of bad decisions though and lol at people that keep on getting hit by CT disk.
  7. The other ones are universal colors. Purple or white, blue, pink, brown, Smurf/Avatar, and white/gold/red. The rest are the reference palettes: Guilty Gear, Anime/Video Game, other BB character, Persona. Edit: Actually, I don't know about the first 7 palettes.
  8. I'm assuming that you're talking about the anime reference ones. Ragna: Ichigo (Bleach) Jin: Amaimon (Blue Exorcist). This is backed up by the fact that the two characters share the same VA (Tetsuya). Noel: Mami (Madoka) Tao: Felicia (Vampire Savior) Bang: Goku (DBZ) Plat: Madoka (Meguca Meduka) Azrael: Kamina The fact that Azrael has a Kamina palette but Jin doesn't have an adult Simon palette is ridiculous (they even have the same VA!). I don't know about the rest.
  9. Seriously, Tetsu shows up and does all sorts of hype shit. Just about half a year to go if previous game releases are anything to go by
  10. If anything, it just distributes the Drill damage to both the Barrier gauge and your health. I really like how unique Amane turned out to be. Get the gauge to level 3, maintain it as best as possible, and chip people to death. It's not necessarily easy to get it to that level and maintain the gauge as to keep it from overheating or dropping but it's not impossible either. It's just right.
  11. Yeah, that move where he drops the "top" on you fills the gauge like crazy. If he scores a knockdown, it's pretty likely that he'll drop it on you as I've seen in various matches. That's what I'm getting at, he'll eventually score a knockdown, drop a 6D on you, and get to level 3 and leave the gauge at a little over half. From then he'll use his Drives to chip you. 5D is comparable in size to Jin's 5D. 2D looks like a decent anti-air. j.D looks like a pretty good air-to-ground and he can still use his 6D and ground drills in moderation. Now tell me if people will be all like "JUST don't let him hit you with his Drives". Once again, I never said that getting to level 3 means ZOMG ARAKUNE CURSE TIER. I was just dealing with the "just don't let him with you with his Drives" comment. I'm aware, I already said that on my previous post.
  12. I wasn't trying to say that he's too good if that's what you're getting at. Just that the whole "JUST don't let Amane hit you with his Drives" seemed a bit ridiculous to me, it really isn't that simple. Sure he might have a tougher time catching some characters who are really good at the neutral game (Tao, Nu, etc.) but eventually he'll score a knockdown or get you to block his drills one way or another.
  13. I mean, sometimes it does make sense to say "don't let X hit you with Y", like Hakumen hitting you with a fully charged Shippu but in Amane's case where most of his Drives revolve around doing chip damage and are completely viable tools, come on people, breaking my balls here.
  14. That's the point of his playing style/Drive You get the gauge up to level 3 and then you have to try and keep it there: use Drill attacks too much and you'll overheat it, use them too little and you'll drop to level 2. He really only gets his insane chip at level 3 and it's not that easy to keep the gauge steady at that level. lol at people saying "just don't let him hit you with his Drive". Unless you're this incredible, untouchable player who never makes any mistakes and plays the best neutral game ever, then it's not going to happen.
  15. That should be a legit combo off a roll punish, CH, or crouching confirm. The 2D forces standing, so the CT will definitely stagger if used after 2D. By the way, we believe that you don't have to hold the B in 214B, you trigger the 2nd hit manually by pushing C. Yeah, Ice Blades on CH have always lead to big damage as long as you were relatively close to the opponent.
  16. If it auto-corrects then lol, what do?
  17. I vaguely remember that but I also remember that it required you to clash his Ice Car with something. This one is not too bad, Guard Bonus will allow you to CA eventually. That and you can just roll outta the corner or wake-up reversal. The Bullet j.C stuff is weird as hell. It's not even a safe jump, you can clearly see the reversal making contact with her and she emits the little "contact with an I-frame move effect".
  18. I'm not sure if it applies to stagger and I'm guessing that it does but that particular player was mashing... something... and that's why they got TRM'd. Edit: Jesus Christ, 5C > 6C > 2D, CT, j.2C > j.C > 66 5B > 2B > 5C > 3C > 214B > C did 4.1K I'm guessing that something like 5C > 6C > 2D, CT, 66 6B > 22C > D, 5C > 2C > Air Combo would do well over 5K. They really want me to spend my meter in this game, huh? I'll gladly abide seeing how using meter in this game pretty much doubles your damage as opposed to gaining something like a measly 500 point of damage in previous games.
  19. It's very spacing dependent. Most of the time, if you're not spaced correctly, you'll air dash right under the opponent. That and Air Combo > j.D > (Land) 66 5B > Air Combo probably does more damage. I'll be going into the regular sj.D > AD > stuff route if only because your oki options are stronger as opposed to the non-existent oki options outside of the corner from an air combo. I saw a Jin ending his combos with 22C stagger, run up to the opponent, and grab them for a TRM since they were mashing to tech the stagger. I see potential in using the stagger as "forced wake-up", specially if there's a way to cross-up with IAD j.236D. Although a high/low mix-up with 66 2B/66 6A/Hizangeki/throw could work just as well. @eQualz - I didn't think that 6C CH would last that long lol. Edit: I've also seen some Jins do j.D > (Land) cross under 5B. Like Tetsu here www.youtube.com/watch?v=UN5UKOSAOUg&feature=youtu.be#t=2m14s I've never seen people attempt that in CSE. I wonder if it works (I don't see why it shouldn't)... TO THE LAB! Edit 2: Holy shit, 22C > D, 6C > 214B stuff works near the corner. Corner swap combos will be quite strong then.
  20. Jin has Izayoi colors Hakumen has Dark Tsubaki colors
  21. I'm not entirely sure, gonna have to pay attention to the meter gauge next time I watch a Jin match. I'm seeing CTs being used a lot during combos for every character. I wonder if that thing has a P2 100, bonus proration, or minimum damage or a mix of the two lol.
  22. Man, I don't even wanna play CSE Jin anymore. > Tired of mashing C for Sekkajin > Tired of crouching confirm/CH > 6C > 2D being character specific and being extremely position dependent. > Tired of all that 214A > reverse dash > stuff and accidentally getting a regular back-dash instead of a reverse dash. > Tired of more position dependent corner stuff, DP C whiffing on some characters, 3C > 214A > 3C and 3C > 214C being character specific. CP Jin can't come soon enough.
  23. Ah you're right, you're going to be building quite a bit of meter during the combo itself so I don't think that 100 Heat is needed right off the bat. I highly doubt anyone's gonna live if you pull that one off though lol.
  24. Yeah, I've been polishing my pressure with Plat to try and avoid as much auto-pilot as possible. As for my defense, I still need to work on that, specially when playing as Plat since she has situational reversal options. I'm still free as hell to throws from what you can see lol.
  25. I think I'm gonna upload that match where you were just about to perfect me and then I come all the way back with one pixel of health. I liked that one XD
