  5. I think that was everyone's initial reaction "who the fuck are these guys?" lol. As far as I know, these guys are brand new, never seen before characters. I'm guessing that since it's a different setting, it's logical to have new characters never seen before in Kagutsuchi. I hope they do some drastic stuff to Jin's and Plat's themes. Leave the piano intro for Jin but do something else with the rest of the song. Same for Plat, the intro is nice but then it gets boring.
  6. 1) Never use combos from challenge mode as they're either impractical or just crappy in general. 2) Don't start your matches with 5D, if anything start SOME matches with 5C. You've got a loooooooong way to go but you're at the right place. Here's the plan for you: 1) Get familiar with every single one of your attacks. Know their basic properties, their range, their recovery, etc. 2) Learn combos from our combo thread. They will take a bit of practice but it sure is better than practicing crap combos from challenge mode. 3) Learn how to pressure your opponent and how to hit-confirm attacks.   10. You could always set Burst to R3 since you'll only be using it twice per match at most.
  11. Calm down people, the chances of you getting a "Xi-14" character are relatively high. I think that what Mori meant is that there will be no Lambda, in the same sense that there was no Nu in CS. You'll get your sword spamming cyborg with a different name, slightly altered zoning game, and probably a different default color lol. Was that Murakumo unit in the end of CS Nu or a completely new Murakumo unit? As for Noel, I support that theory that she'll be able to use her Murakumo powers as she goes berserk when seeing Ragna/Makoto/Tsubaki getting trolled to death by one of the baddies. I don't mean her using her Murakumo powers during her own gameplay but having Mu as a completely different character ala Evil Ryu or whatever.
  12. It depends on the match-up. I was using it against this Kanji last night and it worked pretty decently. Like I said though, don't use it as a raw anti-air. Find an opening, setup the trap and detonate it when he comes close.
  13. Oki, combos, and for controlling a part of the screen. Say you want to set a fire trap that covers both ground and aerial approaches. You'll want to use a TK j.236[A] and hold the A button until the opponent gets close to the trap and you detonate it manually.
  14. Since I'm playing Yukiko on pad, I have a weird ass setup. A = Square B = X C = R1 D = R2 OMC = L1 DP = L2 Throw = Triangle Roll = Circle Burst = R3 I input A+B manually as it's not too hard to hit both Square and X at the same time with my thumb.

  17. You either have to map C/D or A/B to R1/L1 or hold the controller with the "claw" stance (index, ring, and middle finger on the face buttons). I have C and D mapped to L1 and R1 and A and B mapped to Square and X since you'll be using A and B more often.
  18. What I do is setup a TK j.236[A] and hold it, spam fans and Persona attacks, and detonate it when the opponent tries to get in from the air. I wouldn't use it as a raw anti-air though.
  19. Yup, what Gli said. You let 5C connect all the way, input the 236C/D motion and immediately release A/B.
  20. Throw a 3B fan at them to catch them in the air lol. It can't be followed up on normal hit as far as I know.
  21. I'd actually do 5AA > 5B > TK j.236[A] ~ ]A[ > 66 5AAA for the meter gain. You get 1800 damage and 25 SP. Nice find though, I tried doing 5AAA > TK j.236A in the past but the 3rd 5A really scales the combo's untechable time and that's why I was unable to follow-up. It never occurred to me to TK off 5B lol. I wonder if we can do 5BB > TK j.236A. Yup, it works, 1906 damage/26 SP. The good thing about these combos is that you can get some damage with Fire Boost if you ever decide to use it lol.
  22. I should probably grind the C Maragi combos some more but I think this should be enough lab time for me. Time to get some actual match experience lol.
  23. lol, this is not that much of a step-up from Google's craptastic translator. What I'm getting out of this is that they're looking into making combos shorter, in general.

I've been messing around with the SB Agi > Double Maragi loops and I found two ways to do them: 1) ... > 236[A+B] > 5C > 236D ~ ]A[ ~ D > 66 5C > 236D ~ ]A[ ~ D > 66... 2) ... > 236[A+B] > 5C > 236C ~ ]A[ > 66 5C > 236C ~ ]B[ > 66... One way requires manual detonation while the other requires automatic detonation. The first way to do the loop is the easier way and depending on the combo, sometimes it does more damage and sometimes it does less damage. The second way is a bit harder, you need to time your releases just perfectly so that Maragi picks up the opponent on its own.
  25. Goddamn YT bots, gotta be real careful when uploading stuff with mainstream/popular songs. As for the BP trailer, that's taking it too far as a bunch of people have uploaded that trailer. Do strikes go away over time? I have one and I'm hoping it goes away lol. No problem by the way. I'm surprised that Himajin made it as far as top 4 what with the low-tier character stigma and all.
