Nope I'll just grab him as people suggested. I mean, Jin's grabs do have a whopping 5 active frames lol.
-
You attempt to dash > throw me a lot lol
-
I was trying various ways to try and get through Led Ley's invul but they all failed. I guess I have to use something with a crapload of active frames and it's too bad that Jin's 2A doesn't cancel into itself on whiff like Plat's 5A does.
-
There was no one else on at that time, beggars can't be choosers.
-
I figured as much, I could see an increase in skill from the red/pink Ragna to the color you use. It also seemed odd that Darkrail would be decent with that many characters lol. It was pretty laggy though so I couldn't take those matches all that seriously and just spammed pink throws lol.
-
Oh God no lol
-
Really now? Go nuts, I was merely stating my personal take on the subject. I would not give up 25 Heat for 400 damage. I never said it was wrong to do so and I never said you shouldn't do it either. I won't be doing it, you in the other hand, should do it if you feel you must.

I'd volunteer to run it but there's no guarantee that I will be available at that time lol. -

It's not like both rooms would get streamed anyway. The stream and videos is just icing on the cake. Getting someone to run the league wouldn't be a problem either, a 10 year old could run it. "You people in this room, you people in that room, you and you keep track of the scores for that room, you move to the other room since you've ranked up/down too much, 1 hour has passed, time to create new rooms, 1 more hour and GGs people". -
This I mean there really are some sad ass people who would do some shit like that but I don't think Suicyde would do it. I played a long set of matches with him the other day, won most of them, and I didn't see any type of "lag switching". I'm just gonna say what I always say: if the connection is laggy to the point where you can't do shit, just quit. Save yourself some time and frustration.
-
I never said it was impractical, I just wouldn't give up the 25 Heat for 400 points of extra damage, unless it's for the kill.
-
50 Heat, huh? My Heat conserving ass says no to that combo.
-
25 Heat Hotaru and Tsubaki, fair trade lol.

The problem with j.B is that it has a shitload of active frames and has different hit-boxes all-around. So his lower hit-box is not effective until after like 6 active frames, making the lower hit-box have a start-up of around 16 frames. That's why you'll always find yourself getting stuffed by 5As no matter what if you were to jump in with it. j.2C is not a move that you can easily jump-in with either because the horizontal hit-box is pitiful and the vertical hit-box is not even that good after the CSII > CSE nerf. If anything they should increase the start-up on j.B to 11 frames but have it hit all-around at once and not separate the hit-boxes to different points of the active frames. If that were to happen then j.2C would be useless so they would need to increase the vertical hit-box on that thing to its actual animation at the tip of the blade. All I want for the next BB is that type of j.B. Oh and have it so that the 6C > 2D link is more lenient on the distance. It sucks that most of the time you're too far away for the 6C > 2D link to work. Edit: Actually, that would make j.B broken lol. I guess the real way to remedy its shittyness would be to keep its start-up of 10F and have the upper hit-box last 1F. The second hit-box would be the horizontal and downward swing starting at frame 12 which would last for 3Fs. Then the third hit-box would be the cross-up swing at frame 15 and would last for 2Fs. Sounds fair but still, I highly doubt that I'll get my dream j.B lol.

Moy_X7 Platinum May or may not make it. -
Well shit, I failed to look in the most obvious place. lol Jin, 5 I-frames and 17 recovery frames. Back dashing is not a good idea with this guy, not that he needs it since he has his trusty DPs. Platinum has a pretty decent back dash though, 7 I-frames and 15 recovery frames.
-
It's not? What the hell? lol Man, have we ever received any news regarding back dash frame data?
-
I seriously need to hit the lab and work on punishing a bunch of crap instead of just pummeling on the AI to sharpen my reactions, hit-confirms, and execution. Time to see what I can do to punish her DP and see how many wake-up reversals I can stuff with DP C lol.
-
I know, it's almost 3 AM over here. I'm looking at less than 3 hours of sleep. This won't be a good day lol.

Try to get in contact with Jyosua for the frame traps. He tested a bunch of stuff out and even made a list. I think it got lost somewhere within this thread though. As for oki, I can give you almost all of the common setups. After 214C knockdown: 66 2A cross-under mid-screen, meaty/roll punish 2A/5B in the corner. After 623C knockdown in the corner: j.2C safe-jump/roll punish After 214A knockdown in the corner: sj.2C safe-jump/roll punish, IAD j.2C, empty jump mix-up (loses to forward roll), dashing cross-under, dashing cross-under > 44 2A cross-under (loses to delayed tech), ambiguous j.2C, dash cross-under > 44 2A cross-under > IAD j.2C. I'm not exactly sure about the ambiguous j.2C mix-up, I can't remember the name of the video that showed a bunch of ambiguous j.2C mix-up setups.

Really? I can end matches a lot quicker with Plat the moment I get you in the corner. What exactly is so annoying with Jin? If you block 2D, you can do 66 5A or just 5A and it will trade with most of the crap he throws at you. It's not a hard move to IB, so on IB you can just do 66 5A. With Plat, you pretty much have to guess on the TK Swallow oki in the corner and a wrong guess will cost you dearly while a right guess just prolongs the inevitable cracked defense. I can't crack your defense with Jin. Oh wow, you get hit by 6A and lose a laughable amount of health and you can push 5A afterwards to keep him away. At least you can take a match or two when I play as Jin, not so much with Plat unless I'm being really derp lol. @ Toan - I did spam it at every chance I got when I pinned you down in the corner. The thing is, I very rarely pinned you down in the corner, let alone catch you lol. I am hating on it, 236D > empty jump mix-up. That shit is like a free Hishougeki that's available to her at any time. Hishougeki can only be used in specific setups if I don't want to get mashed on and lose 25 Heat for nothing :/
-
lol, I totally forgot about that. Is that all that's left for the tutorial? If so, I'll get on that tomorrow after I get done with all the shit I gotta do. I should be in bed right now as I have to get up at 7 AM later on x_x

Even when I can beat you just as hard with Platinum as I would with Jin? lol I know that feel though. Tsubaki, Tager, Noel, and Lambda make me a lot saltier than any of the top-tier characters whose name is not Taokaka or Ragna. Tager, Noel, and Lambda because it's a huge guessing game with them... Buster/AC/5C/MTW+RC (Tager), 3C/4D/2D/j.D (Noel), 5D/6D/4B/4B+RC/Empty Jump Mix-up (Lambda). With Tsubaki, I just don't understand her pressure when Drive cancels come into play. I could push a button but that's exactly what they want me to do. I could just hold back+up but I could get tagged during jump start-up or by a low. @Zeth - Once you get exposed to it enough, you'll block those cross-ups like nothing. That cross-up only works in the corner after 5B so you could always just yomi air throw him or some shit. It's when he has meter to do j.236D feints when you should be worried lol.
-
It literally is my job to help my fellow Jin players and helping people through PSN without a keyboard is a huge pain in the ass so I could understand those two lol. It seems that you probably don't know about gatlings so check this table out: http://www.dustloop.com/wiki/index.php?title=Frame_Data_%28Jin_BBCSE%29#Revolver_Action_Table I'm pretty sure you're familiar with reading tables. The way you read this one is that you have the starters on the first column, which are separated into rows. In row one you have 5A and every possible cancel/gatling option after the first column in that same row... so on, and so forth. Memorize this table and you'll know all of your available options at any given time. Doing your own combos is all good and well but you're losing a lot of damage and other benefits. At least from what I could gather when you used your own combos. We'll eventually upload Jin tutorial videos, so look forward to those as they're made specifically for inexperienced Jin players.

You need to learn your fundamentals before you move on to setups. You're doing some really weird/not optimal combos there. Hit up the combo thread and learn a bunch of those. Then you should move on to actually trying to open people up. You seem to just do pressure with no specific goal in mind. You're doing nothing but feeding me meter if you're not gonna attempt high/low mix-up and throws. It seems like you were going for tick throws after 5B; you need to time the 5B > Throw link correctly so that you don't accidentally attempt a purple throw which can be broken easily. As for high/low mix-up, know your options. After 2A/5B you can do either 6A (high) or 2B (low) or a throw. You can also attempt a cross-up by jump canceling 2A, 5B, or 5C and using j.2C cross-ups. Refrain from using 6C in block-strings as those are punishable. DP A/B can be ducked under and DP C can be baited with a jab and punished. Also, don't auto-pilot Sekkajin; learn to hit-confirm into it.
