  1. Well shit, I'm done for today, got a massive headache. GGs to everyone in Dark Wolf's room. I'm really starting to slip with Jin, those mirrors were closer than they needed to be.
  2. lol, shoutouts to that CDT > RC corner combo. I was like "please kill him with that last j.236A hit... Ah... he died" and then I died.
  3. I didn't have the meter to RC, I just did it for the lulz.
  4. lol, that IAD j.D (Hammer) cross-up looked ambiguous as fuck. Stay funny hurt-boxed, Tager.
  5. Hahah, really AXIS wake up j.D (Kitty)? Also, goddammit, why must everyone play Ragna? D:
  6. > You talk about effort and awareness > Cross just says that all you have to do is churn butter
  7. Yo damn AXIS, you just got called the hell out lol. Also Cross, do you really mean that you want to be the best like no one ever was in P4U or is that you just bullshittin'?
  8. ^^ That Toan's quote will forever be engraved in my mind... "No amount of effort can overcome a lack of talent." If you ain't got it then you just ain't got it, doesn't mean you can't have fun.
  9. I'm not even touching netplay with that game aside from people in Indianapolis. That's right, only people in the same city lol. Like I said before, it's one of the few games that get played around here and I pretty much grew up playing the KoF series as a kid so it does hold a bit of a special place in my heart lmao. I'm not really worried about being super competitive in that game, just enough so that I'm not completely free. Then again, most people here are not that good at that game so I'm just trying to find some common ground here. Umm... what does that have to do with anything? Just play and have fun at a competitive level. You don't have to aim to be one of the top 38 players in the US lol. There are more than that from my point of view. Then again, who even gets to decide which players are "worth a damn". Pretty much this, most people don't wanna learn like 10 games and only be proficient at about 2 or 3. lol, what are you even on about? Just invest a few hours here and there and call it a day. Again, it's not the aim of most people to become one of the top players. We just wanna play the damn game at a competitive level. It's not that DEAD, as long as about 20 people play the game, then we're kinda good lol. Mmm, now I kinda feel like getting Persona but again, I'm gonna have my hands full with the future BB, GG, and KoF XIII.
  10. We still have the sequel to Continuum Shift and its numerous (and inevitable) expansions and revisions so don't count BB out just yet. BB will always be my main game (or until it really, truly dies), playing other games will not deter my will to play BB in the slightest. At this point, I'm actually forcing myself to play other fighting games. KoF XIII for now and GG in the future since they're some of the few games that gets played around here offline and I absolutely do not like Capcom fighting games any more. If people actually played BB offline in Indy, then I really wouldn't play any other fighting games. That's just me though, I've really grown to love BB for some reason lol.
  11. Same We'll make him understand at one point or another. He's not giving up and that in itself holds a bit of merit. He just needs to try harder.
  12. I think he's been at it for around a year now. Edit: or not, lol
  13. Err... there's always going to be someone who's better than you at a certain point. XDest, LK, TD, and some other better players blow me the fuck up. Doesn't mean I'm gonna cry about it, it just means that I'll try and learn from mistakes and keep on polishing my existing skills. There's nothing wrong with getting blown up; it's all part of the learning process and it's one of the things that comes with playing fighting games. Some people are just going to completely dominate you at some point and you have to learn to deal with that and not allow it to bring you down. Key word: was. He's much better now, I used to troll him back in my worst days but he has improved so much that trying to troll him will cost me the match. It's not just Ragna at work here; I've played countless Ragnas and most don't compare to his current self. There you go, negative attitude. Find out exactly what is giving you trouble, record it, and deal with it in training mode. For me, you'd have to find a way to deal with Jin 5B corner cross-up since that gets you blown up. There are a number of things that you can do to deal with that... A. React to it and block it B. Yomi air throw Just really narrow down what's giving you trouble and dissect in training mode and don't give me some shit like "everything's giving me trouble". I love how you had to bold his name like that lol. Cat stick is a legit poke and it works as a long range instant overhead. Dash grab... let's just say that you need to work on your reactions, or your prediction if you can't handle the former at this point. If you feel that he's going to dash grab you then just do OS tech trow.
  14. ... and that's the end of that lol
  15. See? Batou's got it. Some unaccounted shit might go down but as long as you keep your head up and your spirits high, then one day you'll be able to play on par with the better players.
  16. U mad? Means u bad. Git gud. Nah but seriously, the biggest barrier to your success is the psychological one that you're setting for yourself. Negative attitude leads to negative outcomes. Just look at Ethereal, he was probably just as bad as you are now but he never had a negative attitude and he has now become one of the better Ragnas. Well that or maybe it's just EX Ragna that's pulling him through lololol. Nah, he really has gotten much better.
  17. You seemed to have missed a few words there, fixed that for you XD
  18. Just ask here and you're bound to find someone.
  19. Throw + [2] > release + 8 the moment Jin lets go off the frozen opponent. 6D + [2] > release + 8 the moment you're free to use other moves after 6D.
  20. Well DJ_Blactricity blocks all of my TK Swallow j.Bs and pretty much plays Valk by the book with the instant overheads and the godly neutral. Same with JVC Raven minus the the blocked TK Swallow j.Bs lol.
  21. I'll take playing Arakune over playing Tao any day of the week. Also, probably weird but I'll take playing Valkenhayn over playing Tsubaki too; all those gimmicks make my head hurt lol.
  22. Then DJ is some sort of godlike player because he reacted to it every single time and he's not the type that guess blocks or mashed lol
  23. Yeah, I probably did make a big deal out of equipping items. I'm a reserved player and I'll stay reserved unless people are being predictable, at which point I pretty much have to push buttons lol.
