If it's an arcsys game with new chars which were not made to be out near the initial release, it's way more likely that they will be included in a future physical release than sf4-style patches/dlc. People need to accept this reality already. It being a bad or a good thing is besides the point, it is what it is. Also, remember that team red made +R a whole new physical release for the vita and it didn't even have online, lol. They're no saints.

It doubled the content by mostly bringing back chars they had cut out so the work in coming up with a concept and a style and a moveset was already done and a re-used asset. BB was making up new chars and whole visual novels worth of story and all that stuff counts as "content" too, it's just a different sort of content.

I personally value new char creation much more than 3d-izing old already-established chars. Even if it's like how it was in CS1 where you got fewer, original chars than more, old chars with a new look. Quality over quantity. This is why I like how Xrd made a concentrated effort to bring in new characters and ideas rather than relying on their old fame too much despite that being the safe option that everyone would be happier with. It's the brave option and thanks to it a lot of people tried and ended up liking new chars that maybe they wouldn't have if their mains of 10 years had been in. (and I say this while being someone whose main is not in Xrd)

Lol CS1 gave you Mu, Hazama, and Tsubaki. Mu looks almost exactly like Nu and has like 1/3 of her moveset ripped from her. And Tsubaki is the dumbest looking character in existence. High quality stuff right there for 40 bucks. And CS1 honestly was probably the worst BlazBlue ever made because of how ridiculously long the combos were. Litchi gets a good hit up close anywhere on the screen - 15-20 second long combo, then oki, you got hit? Deal with the garbage again. Taunt loop with Tao, Ragna has fullscreen combos off of any up close ground hit that he could follow up off of. Also back then Blaz had GG hitstop. What an eyesore.

Super cost what, around the same and gave you sure, a bunch of chars that existed already like dudley, T Hawk, Dee Jay, etc. but on top of that also gave you two original chars in Juri and Hakan

I can't wait until they start doing the same thing with Xrd. It's only a matter of time I think

Just a quick correction, +R wasn't Team Red. It was Yamanaka and, like, one or two other people. They're only select members of what turned out to be Team Red.

Second quick correction: +R for the Vita wasn't a physical release; it was a $15 digital download.

I know that this is the Xrd thread but I strongly object to BB:CS1 being labeled as the worst BB game when BB:CT exists; i.e. perhaps the most poorly balanced non-team based fighting game relative to roster size to ever exist.  Seriously, it shouldn't have been that hard to make a 12 character roster have more than 3.5 tournament viable characters.

As I see it with ASW fighters:

Successor = New story arc

Update/Extend version = Previous story arc slightly expanded

BBCT gets a free pass with a lot of people, because of nostalgic pining for the time when BB was still a fresh, new experience and even most GG diehards were willing to overlook its flaws. I've never played CT online (started the series with CS), but it allegedly has the best netcode of any ASW fighter, as well.

And UNIB is more unbalanced than CT, even in its most recent version. Merkava and Gordeau completely shit all over the rest of the cast in ways that BB characters never could - there's no Burst mechanic to save you, either.

The only people who say this are either bad at the game or never experienced the terror that was CT. Gordeau and Merkava are nowhere the BS levels that Rachel and Arakune were at. They're strong, sure, but they don't get free 50/50s and unblockables for practically the entire match, nor do they have nigh-guaranteed wins against, like, half the cast.

I glance in and see game comparisons and not GG talk. Remember to stay on topic guys, and avoid unnecessary game comparison.

I don't know about your area but the GG diehards in my area took one look at BB and went back to GG.  BB:CT did however have the best netcode that I've experienced in a fighting game.  It would be very much appreciated if the upcoming GGXrd patch would include some token netplay improvements.  Hell, I'd settle for something as simple as the 1-4 bars actually accurately indicating the "quality" of connection that you're in for as I'm very tired of seeing four bars but getting 5f+ delay.

I'm sorry but there's really no way to be super polite about this but with regards to balance in BB:CT vs. UNIEL but you have no idea what you're talking about.  BB:CT had 4 top characters that shit on the entire rest of the cast with the 3rd (Arakune) and 4th (Carl) place characters getting shit on by #1 (v-13) and/or #2 (Rachel).  UNIEL has it's top 3 (Gordeau, Merkava, Waldstein) for sure but it also has a total of 8 (3 mentioned + Linne, Eltnum, Vatista, Carmine and Hilda) viable characters out of 16.

Well yeah.  That's what happens where there's no 'Off-topic' forum.

Aside from stating that people are ignoring the previous 7 versions of GG and comparing Xrd to BB (probably due the lack of knowledge)

The fact that people are now bringing UNIEL into the comparison table is just hilarious!

The game wasn't even developed by Arc system they just published the console port!

So what is next ? Marvel?

Hey now, we played BBCT alot. Drove tons of hours and pumped quarters in to machines to play. It was fresh and good fun up till console came out and people could training mode.

I take it we're not getting patch notes.

There's a Slayer on Jonio's stream now.

Edit: Yoooo, Slayer 2H is huge.

Don't know if this was posted before but it seems pretty new. I don't know japanese but ran the text through google translate, it seems like a 1.1 burst/whiff YRC OS that works regardless of tension (as long as you have over 25 for the YRC of course)

I see May with color 8.

Yes I can get my color 11 Sol on Arcade!

Just checked the players guild.

Even the Christmas and PS+ colors are available.

Sweet, that means my blingin' color 7 Bedman made it!

You will still have to buy them using the W$s you earn from playing.

Color 7 to 12 are 600W$

Color 13 and 14 are 800W$

Damn, a fucking commitment just to wear clothes:(

It's still free compared to the console version.

I already have 20000+ W$ in my account for example.
