Well I don´t need pointers anymore but the baiken-slayer game is only scary at middle-range. So being far away or really close up isn´t the problem :P

Slayer is killer at mid range, and in some cases(depending on the situation) in close. Far away shouldn't be a problem as we should all know to lead in with Tatami mat and go from there. Slayer actually has to be weary of his Dandy up close since it's easy to spot, and just as easy to counter if he decides to throw it randomly. Just try not to pokefest with him alot in close range, because it can cost you big if something whiffs or is mistimed. The only REAL disadvantage Baiken has in this match is that she has horrible defense, and yes, his 2hs can be scary sometimes up close Hellmonkey....I totally feel you on that one.

I thought I'd finally got the basics down... but right now I feel like the stupides nubtard there is. SLAYER - MEH! It feels like I don't do any damage - and whenever I just have the slightest weakspot I have this friggin' fist charging right into me... It's probably all due to me beeing a silly scrub (still *sob*) but maybe some of you veterans can give me some advice here.

Just fyi - I am talking about #R: no PS2 anymore so AC just collects dust until I find someone that wants to play with me and has a console with chip. Anyhow... all my usual pressure strings are null and void and I am pretty much frustrated to the max right now.

Gonna keep on analyzing Slayer's moves and polish on mine so I don't give that many openings... but yea, any other things for the specific matchup? I got the feeling he won't float like the others will, I always get this pink fist hammered through my attacks and MEH.

JUST MEH!

*throws away controller and goes off to buy some beer*

edit: it's still the ugliest experience for me to fight Slayer, but I am getting there. lot's of counter, very careful pokes and tatamis... and hell, if there is an opening I just gotta get my damage done. very very little room for slacking - which in the end is gonna kill me over until I stop doing so many silly things. head's up for all netplayers: if you want to piss me off without end, play Slayer. o.O

could some1 please give me all the info u can on how 2 beat AC eddie and millia?

Poke well, block under pressure with occasional ouren, punish slow stuff with youshijin, try to end everything in j.D so you can pressure with the knockdown..

against eddie, ouren is very strong if you use it correctly. don't get hit when you're crouching against him or you lose the match.

i'm sorry but you'll have 2 translate the moves because i don't know the names of baiken's moves.

Well, no one answered me in the Strat thread. I guess strategy is different than match ups. @_@

How should you fight against May? This is the most ridiculous match up for me. May can take off 60-70% of your health off a random counter hit(BS!). So this match is a lot of turtling for me, and the May player.

I tend to lose a lot in the air. May's air moves seem to beat out all of mine. P counter works pretty often, but if May is coming down with HS and I try to P counter, she can block it after for some reason.

I know that c.S beats out a lot of her moves. It can stuff ground dolphins. I can back dash and S-D vertical dolphin, but I have to anticipate it and time it right.

I mean, I know a lot to use against her, but I just want to know what other people do against her to see if I can make the match up go quicker and easier.

Okay, all this talk about how her counters are spelled is all well and good, but pointless, and in the wrong thread. Could someone reply to my post! I got a reply in the May thread before I got one here.

I figured since AC came out there would be more people posting, but it seems like there's even less. -_-

This matchup is one of baiken's hardest to play. Get hit once and lose all your life, on the other hand may dies pretty quickly and is easy to loop. It involves a lot of turtling.. nothing you can do about it.

you have to learn the spacing really well, if she's too low with it you can't counter it, so you'll have to just block (or ouren, lol). Your air moves DO lose in the air, except well placed j.HS and j.S, you have to be extremely careful or you lose all your life.. make sure you gatling into j.D hit confirming after a landed j.S so you can get in

you can youshijin dolphins i believe, which is usually the safest way to deal with them.

Lots of mats and j.D/j.S pokes. IAD in is death, don't do it. Kabari seldomly because may can slide under it or dolphin over it. 6P works against some of her air stuff, you just need to be careful about spacing.. it's a match you really need to test out things and see the spacing that works, and then react accordingly. Not baiken's worst matchup, but definitely close.

I don't see any problem with discussing that here, it would be pointless to make a thread dedicated to the names of her moves :P

Ouran.. not Ouren, is the HS counter.

Youjinshi is the P counter.

Ouren is perhaps the best counter for V-Iruka, while it's better to use Youshijin if the you have the range for it. You can just use 6P against H-Iruka, or even a REEEAAAAAAAAAAALLLLY early 6H.

Use of Youshijin is important against May because it WILL force May to do something different than 5K on wake-up all the time...you will get a CH then small combo for knockdown and May doesn't really want that because she has no real wake up game herself.

Her j2H is easily countered by Youshijin, at decent distance, and you have to do it semi-early to get a result. It's kinda hard to apply this counter in some instances but it usually ends up being the best option in most cases (like, if May does a 2K instead of 5K on wake-up, a well timed (and I mean, WELL TIMED) Youshijin will hit on CH as well).

Stay within Tatami range at least, when you get the knockdown you can square in and do pretty much whatever you want. Just don't let May throw shit around on the screen...because it hurts =p

going back to slayer, what is the best thing to do after blocking a 2d? I couldn't for the life of me punish it, and I suck at doing gaurd counters against lows. would f.S punish it or do I just start a mix-up from there?
