I have a friend who is into Guilty Gear, and introduced me and my other friends to the series. while I wasn't (and still am not) very good, we had good times. then, I got wind about Blazblue. I had my doubts, thinking that they couldn't possibly have come up with as awesome a cast as GG. so anyhow, back to the topic at hand. it was at our senior after graduation party, and there was a BB arcade machine on free play, How could we say no? he picked out Hakumen and immediately started kicking everyones ass (no one had any clue what we were doing), I came the closest to winning with Nu, so when I picked up Blazblue, I stuck with her.

I only started playing properly when continuum shift started appearing. Funnily enough I went with Tager, mostly because I always went with Potemkin. It was only after I came here did I realise he'd been shifted from trash tier in CT to awesome tier in CS.

I accidentally 214B'd one day as Jin, and when it happened... it was something magical. Something... BEAUTIFUL. I don't abuse it anymore and I actually learned how to play Jin/Ragna, but the day I first discovered Musou Senshouzan was simply AMAZING.

For CS, while I don't intend to drop Noel or Ragna, I'm looking into learning Lambda and Hazama.

Lambda because, again I gravitate to blonde people. (Yes, Ragna counts!)

Jin was the only character that appealed to me when the trailer came out a few years ago (2?). I'm prolly gonna use him CS as well along with either Lambda or Ragna.

Nu... Because I thought her docile doll like personality was cute. Already enjoying Lambda in CS so it's a match made in heaven again, minus the possibility of cheating on her with Mu-12, but it depends on how she plays. :D

What I usually do: Start using the simple/box cover character (Ragna) to learn the basics of the game, then move on to whoever just seems like my style (Quick and aggressive). Hence Bang.

I was using nu in ct but I switched over to hazama in cs because IB jayoku houtenjin makes me high and is just about the best thing ever. I feel like my gameplay is improving as well. I IB a hell of a lot more and I can see OHs and throws more often now as well as remember the gatling strings of the cast.

When I first watched videos of this game (July of 2009), I saw Bang's FRKZ video. With his theme song playing. I fell in love with him. Once I actually picked up the game, I actually liked how he played too. He was relatively easy to learn, had awesome pressure, and was very, very manly. Since this was my first 2D or any sort of fighting game ever, I thought he was a good character to start with. I probably will change my main though since he's... too easy and good now in CS. I liked being handicapped (but not too handicapped like Tager and Hakumen were ) and working hard for my victories. But now, everything about him is... even easier and more powerful. I might sub him in the end.

I love his tech-traps... although I can't really pull any of them off reliably. And his 720C. And when people ragequit on me (actually, no, I hate it when that happens.) And it feels really satisfying to block as Tager. Don't ask me why, probably because he's huge.

To be honest, I don't like his fighting style that much. I don't dislike it, but it's nothing fascinating. But his personality was awesome. He looks like the stereotypical hero character but he's... not. And his constant "NII-SAAAAN" was also very awesome.

It's the tophat and the puppet. I just learned how to do some basic sandwich loops as Carl and it feels so satisfying. And since I've been only using really easy characters so far, I felt that I needed the challenge. Also, his hat.

Hazama

Everything about him. His hat, his attitude, his clothes, his gameplay. Actually, I'm even thinking about cosplaying as him in the near future. It must be the hat. His 236236B is probably my favorite distortion drive now.

Now that I think about it, my BBCS main/sub (Hazama/Carl) both have awesome hats and clothes. And then there's my avatar...

haha. mm...well how I picked my main in GG is almost like how I picked my main BB. basically in GG I saw ky and went ":O Lightning sword" but then I saw sol and went "....i dunno but he looks cool!" then I saw baiken and tried her out...decided to keep her and sol as a sub. Ky has a cool looking sword with lightning attribute...i like that :D I tried the same thing in BB. I do like jin because of his weapon and style but he just didn't seem to have what i was looking. I tried ragna because he has the same voice actor as gintoki from gintama...what can i say i like stupid things. he was okay but his style was kinda meh...I played hakumen once and instantly decided "don't care how hard he is to play i'm playing as him." sooo...technically my main and sub are the same guy...technically. >_>

I punched out everyone's blood. That's how I knew THE HEAVY/Tager was perfect for me. Plus, I found a cute pink color and the airgrab loop is almost as fun as Baiken dustlooping someone to tears/death. What can I say? Desert Tager and Loveless Tager make me feel like a destroyer of planets.

GG: Played Guilty Gear XX in an arcade. The art style amazed me, and the game oozed style and weirdness. I picked :KY: to start, and liked him the most, although each character made a first impression, however wrong it turned out to be ("who's that uh...lady of the night hitting on Ky? Eh, woman with possessed spirit wings? Holy frack hair. Is Testament a vampire? Why do Ky and Sol hate each other? God this is awesome"). When I finally got it on the PS2, that didn't change at all. BB: Got interested because of Guilty Gear, but unlike with GG, this was a much harder choice. I think the only person I really ruled out was Carl, because I didn't like his playstyle. It eventually came down to Jin, Nu, Noel, and Hakumen. ...and then I pulled off Yukikaze. And I never looked back.

GG: ... There is something about assassins with long hair, that can really lock down an opponent. Also had my favorite attack Secret Garden... BB: all the way. She might not be an assassin, but who can resist her charm. When I saw she had secret garde... I mean Daishirin... I was hooked on Panda forever.

When I first picked up BlazBlue, I loved to be very agile characters. Thus, I chose Jin. I practiced, and practiced, and practiced, and then none of my friends could defeat me. Sure, I went through story and arcade mode a few times, but not much. It was one day that I decided I would go through everyone's story. I started to become fond of Hakumen's story, and play style after that, and thats why he's my main. Of course, I haven't been able to play BBCS (seeing that I'm in a county in Georgia nobody knows about lol), but, I might want to play as Terumi in some time.
