Not if you're factoring minimum prorations. 5B 2B can do as little as 2 points of damage, where Ashura minimizes at 600ish. So at the end of a long combo, Ashura's still going to be more.

Uh, is there an official "ID punish combo" for CS? The CT one was pretty badass but it'd be a shame if max damage in CS was basically 5A -> w/e. Any sexy 623B FC shenanigans?

In the combo thread I would check out the 2 videos made by Sho since they provide you with almost all the combos worth knowing for starting out.

For player matches:

If you just want to win = Look up Satoshi videos on Youtube, he usually plays the regular Blue Bang. He doesn't do anything "fancy" and just does what it takes to win. There are some videos of him on my Youtube or you can find plenty on Jourdal's or knuxrouge's Youtube pages.

If you want to use FRKZ = Look up Nezu videos on Youtube, he usually plays default Bang. If you look up the GAMEacho account they post long sets of pickups in most of which Nezu is constantly going for FRKZ and using the j.4C loops. I don't think they ever post the player's names on the GAMEacho descriptions but he is in A LOT of the matches so it shouldn't be a problem.

If you want to do whatever the hell you want = Look up Dora obviously, although he honestly doesn't win all THAT much as one would think with Bang being "top tier".

Just watching videos you should be able to pickup on what you can get away with now, even what kind of blockstrings you can "possibly" use (mileage may vary since American defense is NOT Japan defense).

But I am not hyped for top tier at all, the lower the better in my opinion.

Which would be unbelievably stupid considering you'd be canceling maybe one frame of recovery. Mind games.

Them american gimmicks are too godlike.

Speaking of Ashura, I need to get out of the nasty habit of ending combos with it just cause it looks cool. Instead of doing 5A ... 6A 623B daifunka, I'll do 5A ... triple crash -> d.2B Ashura. So many hits of manliness... so little damage ;_;

Honestly, I wouldn't do either of those, on a normal basis. If you have meter, it's usually better to save for Rapid/Rapid combos. See scenario A, where I start a combo, my opponent has ~7k life and I have 50 meter. I can daifunka, he's in the corner with 3k life. Or I can BnB, for usually 2.5-3k, then look for just one command grab and win.

ever tried this one dacid it worked once tho i was never able to pull it off again might work on cs dont know it was on a tager 2a 5a 5b 2b 2c jd jump cancel c 6c jd 2b 623b xx 2b 623b 23663214c rc 2d jd 2a 5b ja ja jb ja jb jc 236a xx 623c that was my longest combo ever but i think remember him killing me with a 720 lol man good times

No, that would not ever work. jD > jump cancel c (whichever interpretation, either 5C or jC) would not work, unless you mean web nail, in which case it wouldn't work at the second 6C jD, if memory serves. And even if it did, the second 2B 623B wouldn't work because of the time system, and everything after daifunka would blackbeat too, 2A to 5B, 5B to jA, jA to jA, jA to jB, and so on.

However, in CS, that would almost work. You just have to replace the first 2B 623B with 2B j623B to avoid the steep loop proration, and after daifunka the combo isn't going to work.

yeah srry web nail idk mabey it was a fluke or mabey the guy wanted to know how far i could go so he didnt tek my avg has always been about 10 to 15 hits wish i could have uploaded that match dora would have been impressed

Currently I only have one opponent in CS and he's a mediocre hazama so I just do shit. I wouldn't combo into super on a normal basis either, though sometimes I just do it for the corner oki. Oh, the mindgames to be had :).

My point is half the time when I'm like "hey i wanna burn meter on a super cause I'm badass like that" I go for Ashura instead of daifunka cause its flashier. It's a bad habit and I need to stop it. Also I can't deny it's the novelty as well. Just like I love spamming j.4C.

@gamehead uhhhhh Since when is the usefulness of a combo determined by how many hits it has, especially in Bang's case when almost ALL his combos are in that range. Also redbeat is the opposite of black/bluebeat meaning the combo was untechable. If someone seriously sat through an entire air combo after daifunka in CT they were either AFK or EXTREMELY stupid and I wouldn't be proud of a match against someone if either was the case. Sorry for being blunt :\
