Soniti Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 I updated the first post with Arcadia combos.
Tari Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 1. 5b 5cdc 236b dash 6a BBL 236a(whiff) dash 3c (1 hit) 214c 5b JC j.b j.c JC j.b j.c j.236a 4008 dmg!? They have to be close for this one. I doubt it works on the whole cast -- you need to be able to dash far enough to 6a them and hit with both melee and pole BBL. Going to have to try that one next time I get a chance. That said, I also need to remember trying 236a236a into 3c214c from high BBL hits. It might work on the entire cast, but the spacing would be different depending on the character. I figure I'll be optimistic about it.
God_Of_Olympus Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 1. 5b 5cdc 236b dash 6a BBL 236a(whiff) dash 3c (1 hit) 214c 5b JC j.b j.c JC j.b j.c j.236a 4008 dmg!? They have to be close for this one. I doubt it works on the whole cast -- you need to be able to dash far enough to 6a them and hit with both melee and pole BBL. I think the combo was meant for the bigger characters ie. haku tager, to keep up with their dmg output, does anyone know how much dmg this would do if you tacked on a 5A or 2B? also, we should start rying to eliminate the characters this probably wont work on Nu- now that we cant 5BB we have to hit her at mid range with 5B do get the lobelia to hit and if we're to far we cant 6A them in fact, this combo shouldn't work on ay of the smaller hitboxes at all, with the range nerf on 6Awe have to dash farther and i just don't think it's possible to hit them , plus we have more recovery on B and C lobelias my guess is this works on Tager Haku-men Litchi Noel (maybe) and arakune
Soniti Posted December 27, 2009 Author Posted December 27, 2009 I think B lobelia may have a bit longer hitstun in CS compared to CT. If you started from something other than 5b, call that 3k dmg or less instead of 4k.
kro_ Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 That was an old combo I used a lot in CT. From what I remember, I could only land the dash 6a BBL for full damage on Bang, Hakumen, and Tager. Regardless, dash 6a after 236b should work on everybody and you can guarantee full BBL damage by adding 4d during the BBL motion. One problem with this combo is that the distance required to hit with 236b while still being close enough to dash 6a is different for some characters. On Carl and Nu, you had to be further back during the 5b to not overshoot the 236b or time the 5cdc differently. It should work on most at (or close to) point-blank range though.
Spirit Juice Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 copy pasta'd from veteru (who copy pasta'd from his friend, who probably copy pasta'd from jbbs) on irc 5B>6CD>JC>5B>5CD>C follow up>9HJ>J3CD(LV2)>6A>Lili>8HJD>J2C( D )>Frog>3C>(Frog HIT)>6C>JC>jc>JC>A Cannon 5000~ damage Four winds and 50% meter for 5k. Good in theory, but like we all know, landing a random 5B or any move that doesn't prorate to hell with four winds in stock isn't exactly easy.
GenoWhirl Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 it's better than nothing, we should be happy we can break 4k :3
Tari Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Holy hell, that's a ridiculous combo with a lot of j.2c. But it has a nice damage value, hah. The nice thing about that combo is that you can do it with 3 wind for a bit less damage, I suppose, if you strip off the first 6cd.
GenoWhirl Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 and who knows, maybe you'll get like one wind while doing it if it takes long lol
Tari Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 and who knows, maybe you'll get like one wind while doing it if it takes long lol You can always hope, but you're basically on the ground only during the bolded sections: 5B>6CD>JC>5B>5CD>C follow up>9HJ>J3CD(LV2)>6A>Lili>8HJD>J2C( D )>Frog>3C>(Frog HIT)>6C>JC>jc>JC>A Cannon 5000~ damage It might be long enough, but you'd need that wind to regen by the time you did the second j.2dc, so you'd only get 5b, 5b 5cdc, and 6a (BBL basically doesn't count, since you do an 8HJD during it) to recharge a stock in. Actually, I'm only just noticing this, but there're 5 wind stocks used in that combo, so I'm going to assume it requires a full wind gauge and a recharge partway through.
GenoWhirl Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 If they actually did it then yeah, it must be possible to recharge one vid somewhere in there also what's HJ, Super Jump ?
God_Of_Olympus Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 If they actually did it then yeah, it must be possible to recharge one vid somewhere in there also what's HJ, Super Jump ? high jump in the 9 direction..at firs i thought it said HS...

I think it's possible to get a lvl3 j.2c with just 1 wind, but the timing is pretty tight.
Tari Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 I think it's possible to get a lvl3 j.2c with just 1 wind, but the timing is pretty tight. Ah, didn't think of that, but it makes sense that you might be able to land the level 3 j.2c without a down-wind. Never tried it myself, though.
choysauce Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 i tried out the 4k arcadia combo, i only got about 3640 dmg, i'm pretty sure i was doing it right.
God_Of_Olympus Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 i tried out the 4k arcadia combo, i only got about 3640 dmg, i'm pretty sure i was doing it right. thats still beautiful for CS Rachel, looks like we'll be whoring out that combo ALOT, and did both the melee AND pole BBL hit? Also i heard their was a fixated amount od dmg to Distortion Drives now, maybe it's possible it does different damage on lower health characters?
GenoWhirl Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 I know throw combos aren't really good because the purple tech thing is really easy to get out of, but can anyone with access to CS try (on the corner) 5b D6C C 5b 5cdc 214a 3c(3 hits)/ 2b 5b on non 3C chars BBL Air throw? just to see what the air throw would do XD

choysauce Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 BBL after george just isn't worth it anymore...... probably good in the corner to retime the 5cdc so that the last c won't be winded and push you far back enough for 236b would 5bd 5cc connect in that way? if it does it'd be good for the chars who don't get pushed far back enough midscreen for the 236b like lambda or carl
GenoWhirl Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 then do 5b D6c C 5b 5cdc 236b 6a (optional?) BBL Air throw
God_Of_Olympus Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 then do 5b D6c C 5b 5cdc 236b 6a (optional?) BBL Air throw You should just drop the whole throw thing...... maybe once in a while to milk some damage CS Rachel is bad, but no character is so bad they have to rely on regular throws..
GenoWhirl Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 I'm just trying to create options for when the opponent doesn't see it coming ;-;
Tari Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 A throw in BBL is insanely obvious, unfortunately. The only times I haven't had someone throwbreak it is when either I'm playing online or the other player got blinded by the lightning. Might work once in a while, but it's definitely not something you should be planning around. :P
GenoWhirl Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 is it less obvious if you do it in the middle of j.b j.c dj j.b j.c?
Tari Posted December 30, 2009 Posted December 30, 2009 A little, maybe? But chances are that the other player knows you're doing j.b j.c JC j.b j.c and will be more than ready to break a purple throw. And, of course, purple throws tend to get broken anyway, so....
