Section2: I have the 11-31 Arcadia issue, so I'll translate the Rachel combos from it:

They have to be close for this one. I doubt it works on the whole cast -- you need to be able to dash far enough to 6a them and hit with both melee and pole BBL.

2. [corner?] 2b 5b 5cdc 214a dash? 2b 236a (frog hits) dash 5cc 3c (3 hits) 214c 3c (set out george) 2311 damage

Do you know if the 214c is for cancelling the j.2c? Bit confused as to its purpose there, and that's the only thing that comes to mind.

You can only special cancel j.2c. That's what it's for... so you can continue the combo.

Yeah, I didn't know if the 214c was actually worth cancelling j.2c with, but I suppose it's faster than just bouncing off the floor.

It looks like this one involves an OTG frog combo? Also nice to see some damage above 3k (though I honestly don't tend to land 5b as a first hit, so I'd get far lower damage from prorating).

  • 2B→5B→5CC→frog→5B→JA→C lobelia→6A→baden lily→6C→JC→3C→frog→super jump (direction8)D→J2CD

...how does this one work? The first bit makes some amount of sense (weird way to knock them into the frog, but if it works, it works~), but the second part is confusing. I see no way for '6C→JC→3C→frog' to all fit within a single BBL.

I'm assuming it means that there's a frog out before the 6c or something, and that you 3c the opponent back into him for the level 3 j.2c. If the first 'frog' (214a) is the summon for the second 'frog' (frog hits), then that's a really interesting combo. :psyduck:

It's nice to know I was wrong about the CH thing for 5cc reps. Hadn't noticed it repeated (3 times!? wow) in that combo earlier.

You'll have to find someone to try the combos out. I don't know the new rachel well enough to answer those questions. They just said the combos work.

i think (5b, 6cdc)x2 combos are still good, i tried it out last night and im sure i didn't blackbeat (unless i'm just totally blind). i thought it was out beforehand because nobody did them in the recent vids and i tried being creative with the new wallbounce 5cc, you can 5b, 5cdc, 214b, run up, 5b, 2d, 5cc, 236b, 214c it does close to 2k and uses 2 winds, not a very worthwhile combo lol but it works i think you can vary it up with a delayed 5d, dash 5cc, might be better to get pumpkin closer

I've actually never seen anyone do (5b 6cdc)x2 before in CT. Not sure if I'm misunderstanding how that works, though.

Edit: Oh, I've just never seen it notated like that before. Took me a moment to realize the second c was a j.c. I remember reading that the timing for that was tight in one of the loketests.

More stuff I got from poking blade too much~:

As it turns out, 5b 5cdc 214b 6dc will combo and will not lift the opponent from the floor. This would imply that 5cdc 214b 6d5b combos are still in, as well, just with very small windows.

If possible, mess with the 5CC wall bounce. I'm still trying to figure out if it's going to be something really major for Rachel or if it's just not really enough to help.

i think it'd be worthwhile to mess around with the delayed midair 2d j2c's like in the vamos vid, i think it'd be good for easy frog setups. i tried something like that last night, but i think i put in too many hits for the 2d j2c to combo (i tried doin the old, j.b, j.a, j.b, j.c, jc j2c combo). but it worked out as a reset for me.

From a video (and also a working combo in CT):

6a 5b JC j.b j.c2d JC j.2c (registers as a level 3 hit) land, 66a32146c 236a 3c 214c 3c 214a 'oki'.

Timing window for 6a after the j.2c is somewhat small.

If anyone can manage that combo in CS and see how the damage is, that'd be nice.

The easier version of this is replacing 'JC j.2c' with 'JC j.c', at the cost of a small amount of damage.

Also worth wondering about is if you can do 236a twice in the new game or something. Not really sure they get caught in BBL high up enough for it, though.

edit:

Possible in CT to do 66a32146c 236a 214a 3c, so I'd assume that's possible in CS, too (for less damage), or 236a x2 is possible (if 236a is faster at all, then this may work).
