BladeOfJustice7 Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I'd be happy if all of his D moves did a static 2000 - 2500. I wouldn't mind that either, and 6d better do shit, other than that I like his changes, specifically his faster slashes, gives him more of a samurai feel. Which is teh main concept he's based on. Serbian. Lol it looks like hakumen players not only tend to be mature and manly, but also intellectuals as well.
Tofu Warrior Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Lol it looks like hakumen players not only tend to be mature and manly, but also intellectuals as well. Haha well it helps that I'm Bosnian, so I'm familiar with Balkan languages, Serbian and Bosnian are pretty much the same. But that's not to say that I disagree with what you said. But for real though, I love how everyone who posts here is either a tournament player or takes the game very seriously. I would definitely describe Hakumen mains the way you did haha and it's refreshing. By the way, when are Toronto and Montreal going to meet up again?! We're having an end of the year "T11.5" tournament, should be as big as T11, I talked to BladeOfJustice about it already. T.O. will have to make some trips to Montreal if you guys are hosting a regional tournament or something.
mAc Chaos Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Hakumen players tend to be serious in general. Might just be the character :P I agree that his counters should be relevant to his gameplay, but when you add it on top of all the other things he'll have going into CS2, it might be too much. Then again, it seems like Bang and Jin and a few others are going to come out of it looking good so it might not put Haku head and shoulders above the cast after all, and you a counter someone has to attack into is probably the last thing that would put him over the top.

We just recently had a tournament, we aren't that big of a community yet since we on paper have almost 30 members in our sub forum on DL, but we got too many NAH's (niggas at home). This is keeping our community from getting bigger, our last tourney had 12-15 people who attended. The last CS tourney before that I am unaware of how many attended, since I was too broke to go. I'm pretty much in charge of the BB community now, so I'll be doing my best to pull in more people and have more tournaments in the future, check sophis' sig to check up whats new in our community Hakumen players tend to be serious in general. Might just be the character :P Probably. I'm more of a serious person irl (although I don't show it), haku is my alter ego, my other personality is ky. EDIT: Now back on topic, just either allow for some level of combo-ability for zanshin OR give them solid static damage and I'll stop being a little bitch and complaining about his counters. SO far I like the way haku is turning out, he's getting faster in a sense. having a character that strictly defensive wasn't really my thing. Since, it meant that being offensive was very difficult to do.

Sophisticat Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Serbian. Oooh, I see what you mean by the pronunciation now. It's a romanization of the Cyrillic characters. No wonder I was messing it up, I was comparing it to German/Polish pronunciation. [/showoff ] I wouldn't mind that either, and 6d better do shit, other than that I like his changes, specifically his faster slashes, gives him more of a samurai feel. Which is teh main concept he's based on. Eh, I don't mind 6D nerf that much, I don't really use it. I doubt it'll stay that way since it prorates so much. It's useful for corner push, but if CS2 goes in the direction of corner-herding as general gameplan, then 6D loses in usefulness since other moves do the same thing, but with less risk. But for real though, I love how everyone who posts here is either a tournament player or takes the game very seriously. Personally, I think it's wayyyy too early for us to be hosting a regional tourney. I don't think organization would be too much of a problem, but the location we use isn't technically "ours" and the play level here isn't worth Toronto's time to drive out for. I don't think we have a single "top" player, though we have a couple good ones. I dunno, maybe we could do it, but I'd like to see it done right. Certainly not against it, I just don't think we're ready. Maybe in 6m-1y, we'll see then. We just recently had a tournament, we aren't that big of a community yet since we on paper have almost 30 members in our sub forum on DL, but we got too many NAH's (niggas at home). You got our backing, though. We're all in it together. We need a push once in a while, but that's what you're good at, eh? Lol, NAHs. Yeah, it's true. Said tourney we were expecting 15-20, ~13 came. Tourney before that was Otakuthon and I think there were about 40-45+ who turned up, but it was cut down to ~32 players. 150+ people as audience made it extra-hype.

Because it has higher damage output than 2d now, I've been trying to incorperate it into my counter game, but it's all for naught if the attack doesn't even do anything now. It has no use if it doesn't DO any damage AND you can't combo off of it. Man, I am REALLY whining and bitching about 6d...:8/: Oh, maybe we'll meet up then. Brice is the montreal version MikeZ, everyone seems to love watching me play because of the way I use counters lol. I'm not trying to hype myself up but those are our top players so far, we may not be at the toronto level but we are getting there and our community is getting bigger. Our main problem isn't that BB isn't popular, it's too many niggas have too little money to come out and play and make the scene hype, so they instead join team Axis' Team NAH's instead. Which is unfortunate, but I've been doing my best to bring in more people, if we all can do that like when we play online we could build a bigger ocmmunity. You got our backing, though. Wow, 40-45, no wonder everyone saw it as an upset when I beat second place of otakuthon twice in the tournament eh? Kinda funny, because I didn't see it as a big deal:v: Anyways, that's really dumb, I would say a majority of BB players are on psn. You guy really need to do your best to play level 4 connection online players, I mean you saw the guy I brought in the first week, that tager player lives an hour away from MTL. But he still came out to support the community. It's people like him that we need, and shirakii wasn't of any use, I still don't know what happened to him. Toronto vs Montreal, almost equal player size. How?

I used to use it more in CT, but j.D is all-purpose now. Our playing level is getting up there, give the community some credit, ramio has wicked mind games that fucked me over into using yukikaze, kirbster is probably our best lambda player and got past elimination round with RACHEL in the last tournament. Which is unfortunate, but I've been doing my best to bring in more people, if we all can do that like when we play online we could build a bigger ocmmunity. Sure, we're all good players. I think T11 just left me disillusioned. :P Overall, I believe we can at least compete with TO, yeah. I just meant that we don't have what's called a "top player". These guys are our best players, but they're not "top players" if you know what I mean. Brice is getting there and Rameo had a lot of really good stuff. And you're forgetting NType, he's pretty solid too. Closest to "top player" we have is Vice-Taicho, I think. Dude is extremely good with Litchi. But he's 16y old and says his mom wouldn't let him play in tourneys last I talked to him about it. Anyway, what I meant was, if TO comes out en masse for a tourney here and finds the competition disappointing, that's not cool. So, let's level up first. Wow, 40-45, no wonder everyone saw it as an upset when I beat second place of otakuthon twice in the tournament eh? Kinda funny, because I didn't see it as a big deal:v: Haha, M King is good, but most anyone in top 8 over there was a contender for the spot at 2nd place (since it was composed of, y'know, us. :P). Brice was the only one above the rest. I think everyone thought he was simply better than you, but you kind of crushed him. Now they know you're no chump. :P Anyways, that's really dumb, I would say a majority of BB players are on psn. You guy really need to do your best to play level 4 connection online players, I mean you saw the guy I brought in the first week, that tager player lives an hour away from MTL. But he still came out to support the community. It's people like him that we need, and shirakii wasn't of any use, I still don't know what happened to him. I've met a couple Montreal players over PSN, but they never replied or didn't seem interested in playing offline. I can't always play type 4 connections, but I play more player matches than I used to and against some pretty good players, too. I got in some good exp vs. the second-best Lambda I ever saw just this friday for ex. Shikarii hasn't replied to the message I left on his wall, but he's been on recently. So... I dunno. Btw, I think we'd best continue this in VM's, we're clogging up the place.
Leonil_Requiem Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 on a brighter note ^_^ http://bb.mizuumi.net/index.php/Hakumen
Sophisticat Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Sweet reference guide, who made it? Also, FireFly「Hotaru」 - j.214B - 2 Magtama Broke
Leonil_Requiem Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 i did ^_^ Edit: Also, I could have wrote a book about Hotaru so I thought I'd sum it up in one word. I keep telling myself I'll go back to it. Also, inform me of any typos via pm, I did this over the coarse of a week and when it was very late at night.
Sophisticat Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Sure thing. I went over it pretty quick, but it seemed fine at first glance. I'll tell if I catch any.
Sophisticat Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Caught a couple in the new description. Bolded the corrections/rectifications: -Start-up is invincible -jump cancelable on block -resets your jump counter (airdash included) -breaks a primer -cancels off Hakumen's hop -is air unblockable without barrier -has fatal properties -only costs 2 magtama -increases untechable time -has a large hitbox (reaches behind him) -when canceling haku's hop, it's +1 (might want to specify what +1 means here) Ihre Grammatik korrigiert worden! [/Nazi]
psycofang2 Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 real talk we have the most broken tool ever. its name is hotaru.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 real talk we have the most broken tool ever. its name is hotaru. Only broken if you know how to use it.
psycofang2 Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 its broken by itself all i do is pull the trigger. yes i agree with you.
WallJumpMan Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 just a thought (in bbcs2) u know how you cant combo off of jump D anymore but now its special cancelable maybe in the corner u cud special cancel jump D into tsubaki and since tsubaki apparently ground slides u cud get a nice 2c corner combo or maybe special cancel into hotaru into j2a for a little more damage just a thought....

WallJumpMan Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 http://www40.atwiki.jp/blazblue/pages/858.html more stuff has been added: Hakumen: Tsubaki slides on normal hit, but in mugen functions like the old tsubaki Hotaru seems to float diagonally, FC still present In mugen his moves seem to gain different properties? His power at one shotting the opponent has increased. new hakumen loke test info^ hotaru float diagonally? like it does rite now?
mAc Chaos Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 No, I'm thinking more like, when you CH someone with Jin's B Fubuki (623B) how it launches them diagonally across the screen at a 45 degree angle.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 His power at one shotting the opponent has increased. WTF Does this mean? No, I'm thinking more like, when you CH someone with Jin's B Fubuki (623B) how it launches them diagonally across the screen at a 45 degree angle. Sounds just about right. Sounds uncomboable now too.
WallJumpMan Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 No, I'm thinking more like, when you CH someone with Jin's B Fubuki (623B) how it launches them diagonally across the screen at a 45 degree angle. arg more corner only bullshit
DioBrando Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 His power to one shot means he does even more damage in Mugen. Even with higher proration from earlier moves may still lead to death if the combo is applicable. I dunno about you guys but I see 6D with a new purpose for oki set up. 6D, hop in and oki. Depends on the property of 6D. BOJ7: What I meant earlier was if Toronto and Montreal were to ever meet in a group, we can have exhibition match. Like 5 vs 5 for example. If we have a strong player base, we can also do 14 vs 14 (one player for each Arcade character) or 17 vs 17/18 vs 18.
