Chrome Homura Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 so does guilty gear have a heavy metal soundtrack? or just references to metal? I'd say yes, but it all depends on your definition of "metal" I guess. The entire GGXX soundtrack (which is reused in Accent Core, but there are some new tracks) is easily found on youtube, I'd suggest checking it out.
creeping shadow Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 the only good thing 'bout isuka are the musics. And the final boss, is probably the worst boss EVER in the videogame history. seriously. Gig is worse.
Soothesayer Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 leo and gig are just horrid. This is why GG should stick to female final bosses, they tend not to suck. Though, I do want to kick That Man's ass really badly... GG will always hold a place in my heart though, no matter what happens to it. There's no fighter like it gameplay wise. But I do wish in the next GG that they not only redo the sprites, but make the animations better. Sol's awesome and all but some of his movements are really awkward(running animation and forward Heavy just look silly).
True_Rune Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Isuka was fun, since we had a multi-tap and 4 other addicts. One guy would always rage quit though..and you had to readjust when playing X2 or X2:AC.
zeech Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Looking at BBCS, I was curious about BB's future direction, and wondered if GG might provide some clues. BB has been stated as being much less technical, deep and difficult than GG. However, how does it compare to the very first GG game? Did GG merely get more technical over time/sequels? (and thus BB might as new features accumulate over many sequels). Or will BB stay simple as the developers make an effort not to alienate casual players?
insanity99 Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 i got guilty gear XX reloaded on PC (£2), playing it with ps3 remote. it is AWESOME. though it's not all english for some reason.
Izanagi SOL777 Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 critics don't know what they're talking about, they just want the money. Though there are some that I really like, the one who did Metal Gear Solid 4 in ign I think..
Blade Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Is guilty gear xx good or not? That's like asking if you like Pepperoni or Sausage on your pizza. Some do, some don't, some like one and not the other. Let me ask you this, if you've played BlazBlue and liked it....odds are you WILL like Guilty Gear. I guarantee it.
sogos Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 That's like asking if you like Pepperoni or Sausage on your pizza. Some do, some don't, some like one and not the other. Let me ask you this, if you've played BlazBlue and liked it....odds are you WILL like Guilty Gear. I guarantee it. why are you not banned why are you not banned why are you not banned why are you not banned why are you not banned why are you not banned why are you not banned why are you not banned why are you not banned why are you not banned why are you not banned when you say "Let me ask you this" and then proceed to make a statement, its time to stop posting on dustloop and go back to kindergarten if bb was BABBYS FIRST FIGHTER and you listen to Blade expecting guilty gear to be similar to blazblue, youre going to drop it in a week. If you're really interested in GG then just forget everything you've learned from bb
qwerty Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 yo sog we cool for real dawg but you best not be dissin on dustloops one and only story mode champion he'll whip out the metal references all over yo ass if you ain't careful...
Blade Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 You do realise even I can get mad and say stupid things, right? Sogos was part of the cause of me losing my cool among others, I made a list of them, it was therapeutic. As for me, I'm only posting to be helpful from now on, so chill.
Mr. Mamation Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 If you can put time and effort in learning a real game then GG ia for you. If you enjoy not having to think and just press buttons with your friends then stick with BB.
Shaker Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 That better have been a joke Mamation. I tell ya' some people just need to be thankful for what there given. (or not given in my case)
Mr. Mamation Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Im not thankful at all. I'd rather everyone still be playing gg and cvs2.
Frank The Tank Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 When you have good games, and are given shitty games, and everyone drops all the good games to play the garbage, then there isn't really much to be thankful for.
Hecatom Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 game critics = monkeys with shitty opinions on games that they cant understand they only give good puntuations to games for casual fags or if they got paid for giving it
Soothesayer Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 More bitter GG fans blaming BB for the games dwindling fanbase. Really, GG killed/is killing its own fanbase. Poor international scene, lack of new blood, a niche audience, and also not really giving anything new in terms of the main games. It was revamp after revamp of the same game, new stuff was added which was good and it worked for the most part, but people are only going to play the same game for so long before wanting something new or different. Rather than giving GGX3 like they should have done, they didn't. GG never really evolved past X2. It just became X2.5 plus more complex mechanics which in turn alienated new players even more. Add this with the new direction Daisuke is seemingly wanting to take the series and it's no surprise as to why some GG players have moved on to other games. Eventually we're bound to see a true GGX2 sequel(which I've personally been waiting for since AC vanilla), but until then you're just gonna have to deal with the shift. And you should be thankful for BB and in addition SF4, regardless of whether you personally like them or not. Why? They've brought back life into the 2D fighting game scene, which it needed. No one wants to make a game for a market which isn't even profitable anymore. These games have helped it stand back on its feet. On an irrelevant note, I love me some CvS2, and Capcom/SNK need to release that over XBL/PSN already. I have the game myself but I can't play it for some stupid reason :/ EDIT: VVVVSagat was such a punk in that game.
Kamui Moon Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Im not thankful at all. I'd rather everyone still be playing gg and cvs2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_eleFvonXM hell yeah, that game is still hype.
Senkei Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 GG did evolve. The fact you can't recognize that blatantly exposes your position on the game. If people played it then went somewhere else means they couldn't cut it. If great players stopped because they hit the walls of the system then fine... but if it's just random players who haven't shown anything, then all that statement is just an excuse. You don't like GG's complexity then go play some shitty dumbed down game.
DandyStepper Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 It was revamp after revamp of the same game, new stuff was added which was good and it worked for the most part.... Are you serious? What the hell are they doing with BB CS then...good troll or bad info you shouldnt be proud of what you just wrote. The kiddies like you who sign up here after BB dropped that give it "bad rep". They play it for 2 seconds and bash. Its the people who play it for hours and hours...the people who basically grew up with the game who should be giving opinions.
