Tomoyo Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Aww, I'd have to drive for 6 hours to reach the one in Thornhill, Ontario :<
tilopud_rye Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Alright- I'm not gonna say which day this was, or point out names, but when I went to AI to play BlazBlue there was something atrocious that lurked over. One guy came over and immediately presented a forcefield of human stench. Namely, he smelled very strongly and profusely of sticky male fluid. Being a male I know what that smell is- and I'm sure all those around recognized it as well. The intensity of his air presented a strong indication that this person hadn't changed their boxers in days, and the resulting odor was the compilation of a buildup waiting to explode out and seep into the lungs of all those around him, or just be cleaned. Now, I'm not one to judge a person by their odor, but if you plan on spending your time in a tight-spaced area close to several people please encourage yourself to respect those around you by not arriving in stained boxers. Even if you can't smell it yourself you can be sure that everyone around you can smell it, and we'll all know that it came from you. Other than that the game was marvelous- really liked the background changes (arakunes +1) and gameplay tweaks. I have plenty more AI tokens about so will be putting my coin on that game more frequently.

MastercrashMD Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 any word if University Pinball in Philly will be getting CS?
Reioumu Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I'm curious to know if UP, Power Gamer, or CF are getting it.
Achtzehn Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Can we add Chinatown Fair Video Arcade to the list since they will be getting it on the 13th? hinatown, Civic Center 8 Mott Street (between Chatham Sq & Mosco St) New York, NY 10013 (212) 964-1542 unsure of the closing time maybe shine can fill that in? Just to clarify, does that mean they'll be getting it the 13th and won't have it up and running until the 14th or will they have it up and running on the 13th?
Burningbatsu Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 well i was told it was going to be there on the 13th up and running is my guess. I'm heading there on the 13th you can keep checking http://s1.zetaboards.com/blazblue/topic/1203683/1/ this thread here. To see about the place having it and what not.
Achtzehn Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Thanks for the info, but like you I plan on heading in on the 13th. Hopefully none of the good players will be hovering around (I hope you aren't one of them) and not may other players so that I can at least get to mess around with the changes before being thrown into combat.

You know, you can like, kindly ask them to test out some stuff (and tips even) and forfeiting by default at the end. Not everyone's out there to bite ass.

That's just how its going to be... hate to tell ya. Learning a new char, practicing new combos, whatever... Your going to have to play against people that play the game really well. I suck at BB. I won't lie.. But I have fun playing it and learning my character. Sometimes I can't get a hit off on the other players and I'm out in 20seconds with $.50 less in my pocket. Other times hell I'll be able to hit them and drop a combo or two from hitting the wrong button if I'm lucky, then it's back to the facesmashing. Point is if your intimidated by people being really good then you need to go there with the mindset that you don't care if you waste mass ammounts of money trying to hit the other player ONCE. If that's not ok for you then the only other option is to go as soon as they open (a couple days after release), as most people like to hang around arcades later in the day, or just don't go at all and wait for there to be a training mode on console =/

MisterBadguy Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 I blew $25 on CT at UP my first visit doing that. I gave up after a week or so. Of course I'm not as big of a scrub now, so we'll see how it goes this time.

Haha oh yeah man i'm the shit alright on a controller lmao. But seriously you have nothing to worry about when it comes to playing me i suck ass on stick i wont even lie. It will take me months to get to the skill level where i am on a controller lol. But as bang and galeon said it wont be easy, there will be players kicking our ass left and right so im damn sure expecting to blow at lease 25$ or more to get my ass kicked. But everything for me at lease will be a learning experience. 1) Actually playing CT 2) Learning Ragna new combos 3) Learning the do's and don't s of Ragna combos 4) Trying Hazama at lease once... You know everything looks good on paper, but once you try it out shit is a different story.

RinenganSuicide Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 Anyone has the exact date for the arcade release in Chinatown Fair Arcade, NY? I heard they will be getting it but I wanna get there before all the overnight stayers camp. Especially those who play fighters without stopping to appreciate a truly artistic fighting game.
