I mean, sometimes you have to do the unexpected to get damage in. People are less likely to be waiting for you to do something inherently unsafe. I gotta say though, that combo into Astral is by far the most badass looking one I've seen.

But yeah, risks are okay to take from time to time. Specially if you know they'll be too scared to do anything but block.

For that midscreen astral setup, I wonder if it's always doable or if it has to be after a throw counter.

I think it's Rachel/Tager specific. The command throw probably doesn't factor into the timing.

Her hitbox is crazy different from everyone else. Also, it's pretty big.

Probably better to do 6A on blocked chains since I think that combos into something without having to use chains. Or whatever move is going to punish him worst since blocked chains are like free combos for you.

Supposing you had meter, could you do that combo with Baden Baden Lily into j.2C? It's probably her only chance at some decent damage.

^ It could, I think, although since the normal Baden Baden Lily combo is used with at least one pole active, I don't think the damage will be as great when you just use it by itself. But at least it'll break 2k. :V

I mean the Fatal Counter j.2C. Uh... in very loose terms since I'm not familiar with Rachel's commands, but something like... Cat chair, downwind Cat uppercut, Baden Baden Lily, upwind j.2C (should be a Fatal Counter), then whatever follows that. I think the j.2C alone should give you almost 1k damage. I saw one with Matsu playing, and he got a solid 4k. That was on Ragna off a counter while on the ground though. I don't know if Hazama being in the air will change it drastically.

i hate when i read statements that are not true. you cannot do whatever you want if hazama comes in on a blocked chain. for all you know he may be baiting you to throw something out right in front of him and cancel his chain in front of you. hitting hazama out of chain is something you do on reaction, not on impulse.

That's kind of what I was implying... you can't cancel once you've committed to moving forward, and then w/ good reactions they can literally hit you with any fast move out of it.

Also, I liked Buppa's HZ a lot more this time, it was much safer in its pressure, but still rape.

.... you can cancel once you've moved foward. use a grab whiff or a j.a to stop your movement and bait an attack. that's why i said you have to react and not just impulse attack

Wow... Zakiyama did a counterhit chain > 66 > 66 > 5B. I was thoroughly impressed. I also love his 5B round enders they make me smile.

Haha, yeah. It's kind of a way to taunt his opponent. I noticed he's getting a little better at applying pressure as well. Still no where near Buppa's level... But I'm glad to see one of the best Hazama players (In my opinion) is back.

And Wolf Pup TK, to answer your question... Watching any of Buppa's videos as Hazama will help a lot. Or reading over the gameplay discussion thread near the last 5-10 pages. Honestly, there aren't any guides for it yet. I'd recommend writing down some of Buppa's blockstrings if you want to practice it.
