feri Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Thats fine but do you get lower with each proceeding loop? Or is my timing just off?
ZONG_one Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 You get lower, I'm pretty sure. That's why the last rep you have to catch them so early/high for Allegretto > 8D to hit.
Kyle Posted April 4, 2010 Author Posted April 4, 2010 Something I just noticed by doing J.C, 5B, 2B, 5C combos you can actually activate & deactivate nee~san for each 6D attack. This is amazing! It cost less nee~san health and is actually an easier combo. Does 2B gatlin to 6C? If not, J.C, 5B, 2B, 6C+D will do just fine.
Adelheid Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Well, I typically use the time Ada's not doing anything in loops to adjust spacing. It's not really that much more health lost, and allows better setups to be constructed on the fly. But no, I'm pretty sure 2B doesn't gatling to 6C.
Kyle Posted May 7, 2010 Author Posted May 7, 2010 Alright guys, It's combo challenge time b/c I need your collective minds to finish brainstorming this UB shit. We are looking for a way to combo into the close side of Cantata while giving nirvana enough recovery to to get off volante that is well out of reach of the opponent. My suggestion is to combo into 4]D[, backdash just before the opponent crosses your y-axis, than do Cantata in such a way it forces the opponent to fly into the back side. I'm thinking 2]D[, Late Cantata doesn't give Ada enough room to pull of a late Volante and NOT hit the opponent on start-up. We could also play around with hitboxes which hit behind Carl. I know 5B, J.B and 6A are notorious for this shit... Anyone else have ideas? Zong, Feri, Soujira??? Anyone?!? Also, please test out my theory too.
Kyle Posted May 7, 2010 Author Posted May 7, 2010 Final combo cost 100%, did 6K damage & gave 50% heat. o.0 wow http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=AutonomousR#p/u/33/K1SH_ApgldM
Zoogstin Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 It actually didn't give him an extra 50%. He had some meter left over after the first super but it was still alot of meter gain. I can't wait to learn that combo. But as powerful as that combo is I wonder if it wouldn't be better to go Cantata instead and then an 8D for a knockdown instead of a second fermata. That carl player in particular would often use fermata as a finisher no matter how much health his opponent had
ZONG_one Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Final combo cost 100%, did 6K damage & gave 50% heat. o.0 wow http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=AutonomousR#p/u/33/K1SH_ApgldM I saw that a couple days ago. I've been wondering, anyone have this guy's name yet? Sexy 2 hit clap to firmata makes me wet.
Mascarpone Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 I think it's less "always finishing" and he's just discovered that 2 hit clap + 50% heat = Fermata which is carl's highest damage super, so if you have 50% heat and ur clap hits twice, why not? I think the trick here is to find what elevation/distance/timing you need to ensure your clap hits twice so that you can guarantee the Fermata for big damage if u need it. Looks like it could be character specific, but hitting the back of the clap seems to do it.
ZONG_one Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 Just make it his as far back on the clap as possible. Preferably with nirvana closer to you. Basic rule, I'm not sure how to 100% ensure it. It's also character dependent. VS Litchi/Lambda, it's super easy.
Kyle Posted May 28, 2010 Author Posted May 28, 2010 JB+C, 22]D[, 5B, 623]D[, 236A... This is great guys.
Kyle Posted May 28, 2010 Author Posted May 28, 2010 6A, JB+C, ~throw break.. activate..... does this affect trajectory of opponent whan spaced properly?
ZONG_one Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Also, j.B+C > 22D >Volante > 5B > Volante hit > 236A > you know. Also, Kyle, are they NOC in the situation you're describing?
Kyle Posted June 29, 2010 Author Posted June 29, 2010 I linked J.B from a mid-screen Cantata over the weekend. I don't remember the set-up... it must have been a deep super tho. This will come in handy for solo combos & burst safe damage.
Zoogstin Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Oh snap they must been really close to you or something.
ZONG_one Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Wait, I don't get it. 632146C > j.B? If that's the case, it's totally do able! I've done it like once. lol. D:
Kyle Posted June 30, 2010 Author Posted June 30, 2010 We know it works, anyone able to tell me exactly how? Is it off: - 3C, 632146C, J.B - 6A, 632146C, J.B - J.2C, Alle~can, 632146C, J.B Can we follow-up even more like: -J.B, Allegreto -J.B, J.C -J.B, Jump Cancel, J.B...
Zoogstin Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 More solo Carl goodness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_my_slAYwM8#t=1m38s Actually it looks like nirvana is needed to push him forward. Still very flashy.
Mascarpone Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 the possibilities really just are endless for this kind of BS aren't they lol.
Kyle Posted July 3, 2010 Author Posted July 3, 2010 I am impressed. Now we have No Sister combo's for standing and crouching. Midscreen possibly? I NEED TRAINING MODE
Zoogstin Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Once again I don't think its solo Carl. I think Nirvana is needed to push him forward.
Mascarpone Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 That as may be, nirvana walking forward uses much less of her HP than nirvana punching and stuff like this is good for long damaging combos without the use of her Life bar.
kaworu Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Does anyone have a list of carls BnB's? Like for example what CS-Carl does after: 2a, 2b, 3c, teleport, IAD, j.2C~allecan, 2c... I think it's something like j.2C, j.C.. something Or what he does for max damage when whilst opponents is sandwiched he lands: 5a, 5b, 5c, 6]D[... A list of his BnB's would be greatly appreciated.
kaworu Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 3 weeks and I will have a list. While I totally appreciate your work and have already printed off your 101 guide to Carl could you not just give me at least one or two BnB's to try out? please. I know I can just watch the countless Carl BBCS vids online and work them out from there but I prefer to have the notations down. Urgh, I guess I'll just have to watch some vids, pause, try the combo, play, note it down, pause, try the combo... Thanks Kyle
