Shin ATproof Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Shin-AT - yes, there is something every Wednesday, but there are A LOT OF PEOPLE so you have to be willing to say 'next' Ah! Far out, man. Well, if there is any room like next Wednesday, please let me know. I'd love to get in on one of these Wednesday sessions :D Any way, how is the rest of the week looking then? I'd love to swing by on whatever day you're willing to have me, especially if there is a lot of comp...OH! Btw, if you want me to bring anything next time (or any time) like drinks, chips or cups, let me know in advance.
Xie Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Overtime finally ends today, do you mind if I stop by tomorrow (thursday)?
ZONG_one Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Why was the 405 shut down? Construction. Hey Mike, I'd like to come play again some time this week, is that possible? 1.) I must redeem myself of any dickishness I exhibited before I left. 2.) I'll bring Julie, so we can work out snowboarding plan. 3.) And practice, also, because I suck at this game. Also, I never gave you moneys for CS.
dreamskep Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 2.) I'll bring Julie, so we can work out snowboarding plan. Couples boarding trip?
IkeTakeda Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 3.) And practice, also, because I really suck so badly at this game. Wait whaaaaaaaaaaaa
Mike Z Posted January 28, 2010 Author Posted January 28, 2010 Sanchez, fracking come today... Thursday people - due to 405 awesomeness I will probably not be back till 8:30, so if you get here early bring your DS/PSP. :^P
ZONG_one Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 Couples boarding trip? Something like that, I guess. lol. Though I have a friend who might be taking his sister.. Wait whaaaaaaaaaaaa Yes, I'm terrible.

dreamskep Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 D: So crowded, for such sub-par snow... Well, actually I haven't been to Mt. High this season and I hear they've been pouring in quite a bit of cash into it. Do you know if it's any better than it's been for... forever?
Mike Z Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 OK, anytime now, for those who couldn't read the 8:30 before. :^) I'd take your sister.
Hellfromabove Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Guess I'm reading this a little late. Won't come today but I will next week. -Tha Hindu
MechaMacGyver Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 I figured out how the 405 construction schedule works! ...after they closed all the lanes. I'll figure out surface streets next.
Mike Z Posted January 29, 2010 Author Posted January 29, 2010 To be blunt: WTF, SoCal? Ten people came over tonight, and only one donated any money. The other nine didn't even mention anything. Yeah, no problem guys, that's fine, right? Sure. Of the last 75 (that's seventy-five!) people to come over, fewer than five have paid. That's over $350 lost...and everyone that came over had food, soda, and freeplay CS all night. I lost my job after purchasing CS, which meant I couldn't really afford to buy it. That is why I asked for money - not trying to make a profit, trying to afford the machine...and it was a very reasonable amount of money, considering the value per game everyone got compared to playing at an arcade. In total, since the beginning of December I've gotten a little over $110, which is somewhere around 22 people contributing once. To put that in perspective, more than 20 people come over every 3 days. I recovered only around 4% of the total cost of the hardware despite having people over 4-5 days a week for two months. I can't afford this, so it is now done. I am making my apartment back into just my apartment. I will not be coming home early or missing out on other opportunities to let people to play CS anymore, because it is not allowing me to survive. Friends are always welcome, of course, and Rendsday lives on...but the worst part is that those friends are the majority of the people who contributed anything anyway. To everyone else, thanks for nothing. See how much fun you have without paying anything at AI.
