Um.. get used to the timing? It's not that hard to pull off. Charge it for about half a second and you should be fine.

The timing for me was awkward at first for 214A ->22C. Right after the 214A connects, input 22C and hold C for the appropriate amount of time.

Moved several posts to General Discussion, bring the discussion on Tsubaki's weaknesses or whatever in that thread. Let's keep this thread simple and to the point.

Sorry, I can't find it and searched through the subforum and can't find it.

How much does Tsubaki's 236236D adds per charge? My friend wanted to know how much it does with proration or free from proration.

Quick question, I have trouble connecting with 6CC hjc.C (techs out right before I hit with j.C) during her combos even if its only out of a 22D. Is there a trick to the timing that I'm missing or do I have to get that j.C out ultra fast? >.<

Was having trouble with it too at first. I started doing the jump cancel motion at the second to last hit of 6cc instead of at the last and it helped immensely. Other than that just make sure you get the sj.c out asap once you are off the ground.

Hey guys, um how do you do this vid1 vid2 . It's the stuff she does to ragna and jin after 3C, where it looks like she's about to jump but falls back down. I can't remember the name of the move but it's j.236 a/b/c/d (i think i haven't used here extensively yet). Like how do you do the "fake out" version, the stuff in the vid, so to speak. Sorry for not explaining it well.

Does anyone make worthwhile use of 2369B? As an overhead on hit it seems to give a decent window for follow ups, but it seems unsafe on block. When I first started playing her, I was using it as a means of entry with that nice large hit-box leading the way. Solid strategy or just opening myself up for damage?

Her j.236x is not an overhead (I think every Tsubaki player believed it is in the beginning ;]). The same goes for her j.214 series.

You can crossup standing opponents with 2369b in some cases and then go into dive or RC into combo. Haven't been able to get it to land on crouchers though (outside of maybe Tager).

Ending the bnb with 22C instead of 22A will knock the opponent away further than 22A, giving you time to charge and fill up at least one or two meters.

A question regarding charge cancel pressure. To keep pressure as tight as possible right after the 2D, is it best to only dash and then 5A/2A/throw or not dash and quickly 5B? My opponents are usually able to react and/or mash out of the pressure if I attempt a dash 2B/5B. Is it also a better option to back off after the charge cancel when you're at a bit of a range, like after 5CC?

Also, how useful can RCing 236A when attempting a reset be? Is it best to try it only if you have charges or you're near the corner?

And one more question at Ginseng. Are you gonna upload any more videos of your Tsubaki soon? You're a great reference for me to improve with :eng101:

If opponents are mashing, you need to somehow train them to block in order to continue charge cancel pressure. If they keep mashing, just show them no respect, even if they have stupid normals like top 3. Do whatever you want to deal with mashing, like DPs or jump-in normals.

It's up to you when you want to do it. It's a way for you to get in while pressuring and it makes your 236A safe(it's - on hit, yea..it's stupid). You can do whatever you want afterwards.

Uhh it would be recorded via ghetto 12.1 megapixel digital camera and it would be NETPLAY MATCHES (lol lag Tsubaki is amazing...drop 5BB 2BB wtf lolol). I'd rather not record a netplay match since you know..there are these wonderful people that like to press buttons a lot.

This happens to you too huh, I thought I was just being sloppy with my blockstrings... With that said, whats a good bnb to use to get into 6CC in air combo?

Most simple one is 5BB > 5CC > 22D > 6CC >hj.C > dj.CC > j.236A > j.214C

You can also combo into 6CC off a CH 5B or 5C

Is there any way we can put her only ground overhead, 6A, to good use? It seems too risky to link it to 5C because 5C has short reach and 2C doesn't seem it will do me any good either.

I use 6A along with the charge canceling mentioned earlier. Usually use 5BB > 2BB > 5C > 2D (cc) > 66 > 5A/BB > 6A

Sometimes tossing in another 2B before the 6A. The quick low before the overhead seems to catch some people of gaurd. The nice thing about 5BB is the you can switch between 6A/6B/2B/3C. You could continue the blockstring to 214A > rc but that's a different question I suppose.

If 6A connects or is normal blocked it should link into 5C. Barrier blocks will probably put you out of range, from what I've experienced barrier blocking destroys tsubaki pressure in general.

Questions

1. What are tsubaki's main factors for mix-up against a guarding opponent? For example, going from a 5BB to a 6A. Are there more?

2. For guarding opponents, is there anything that makes me jump cancel to reset and mix-up other than using 5B and 6C?
