Rachel is put into an uncomfortable position in this one as if she plays keep-away, she suffer from the massive hit-stun of Hazama's chains but it's worse than if she tried to fight close-up as Hazama has the priority and damage on her. The gameplan for Rachel; would be to be really patient in this match-up, block the chains, and use Lobelia/the chair. Damage, priority, and chain hit-stun would throw the advantage to Hazama. I believe that the inexperience of most online players with a Rachel player fuels the belief that this match-up is even. I've played close to 250 online matches on Xbox Live and I've encountered Rachel twice. Maybe I'm a visual learner, but knowing the match-up on paper helps little compared to actually playing against a character and getting your reaction time and gameplan down. So are the "top players" who are involved with this match-up chart going to actually reconsider what anyone says, or is all this discussion kinda meaningless outside of telling people why they are what they are in the eyes of the people who made it? Even if any Rachel I play never beats me it's still a 5-5 matchup. Hazama has no glaring strengths against Rachel. He doesn't destroy her like say hazama rapes mu. It's a small advantage, but it's definitely there. I can lose a match and still recognize that the matchup chart is unchanged by it, and that other people who are better than me show the chart better. Hazama in Japan stomps on Rachel in Japan, because Hazama is so much better.

Let's break down hazama vs Rachel. Rachel's wind severely fucks up hazamas zoning game. Rachel has oki with george that hazama has to take. Cat chair is actually a problem for hazama cause most of his moves/mixup are 1 hit and thu get eaten. Lobelias are annoying as fuck. Pumpkins are annoying as fuck. So this matchup is looking pretty good for rachel huh. Ten you factor in why she sucks. So it becomes 5-5. So shut up dacidbo. Don't make me come to Cali. Nigga I still have funds.
