How hard is soldering the 360's wireless pcb "i burned the wired one"

Depends on what your using and what your trying to do...

Start, Back, Guide, common ground, and the face buttons are easy as pie. You'll need to take off part of the trigger assembly to get to the signal for LB (I forgot either LB or RB, pretty sure it's LB...) RB is easy as well. The Triggers, Sync button, and Dpad ones are a pain in the ass though...

Dpad inputs are very fickle, so hot glue them right after you've confirmed the input is correct and working, or they'll disconnect. Sync button is a really tiny connection and can be rough geting the wire to connect to just the signal and nothing else (you have to take off the original button node thing to see it) And the triggers aren't really hard but it's a PITA to get them COMPLETELY off. Then you wire a resistor between two points and a signal from another... no connecting to the common ground for those guys though as the triggers have their own ground.

As far as burning it IDK... I've never left the iron on it so long that it actually messed up the board.. and I've left it connected for quite awhile... I have skrewed up a wireless board though because I pulled too soon removing one of the triggers and it ended up ripping off a contact...

BTW if you are even going to MESS with the triggers know that unless you plan to put a resistor between the bottom two holes (there are 3 once you remove them) the PCB WILL NOT WORK. The board "freaks out" if there isn't something conntecting the two lower holes together.

You know, I'm curious. For those of you who play GG on Japanese joysticks, do you prefer using the Sanwa JLF or Seimitsu's LS-32? On a similar note, which joystick was used in the official GG machines of old and new?

My friend has a LS-32 and I really prefer the JLF over it for GG but its not a gigantic difference I just feel like the JLF requires slightly less movement of my actual hand/fingers. Most japanese GG cabinets use the Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y-SK

Quick question: is gadget-asia.com a legit site? Is it safe to buy from? Are the products actually decent quality?

Damn, I'd like to know that too. Unfortunately, missed the last chance to get SFIV TE stick as well as HRAP 3.. I heard HRAP3's gonna make a second coming this summer/fall but that one would top it hard. EDIT! Play-Asia says Apr 10. :psyduck: Anticipation levels rising!

ah, i'd forgotten about that other thread... but yeah, going by this thread's first post, maybe we should take all the picture-posting to the Zepp Museum thread.

The AH2 sticks are up on PA for pre-order now but really, I think I rather spend my money on a PS3 BB stick instead. and ghaleon109 that hello kitty stick is awesome!

Is anyone familiar with putting custom art on a HRAP2? I'm going to add some art to my stick but, I was wondering if there might be a guide floating around somewhere. If somebody could give a few pointers regarding the subject, that would be appreciated.

Does anyone know someone willing to do a Mayflash stick modd and maybe even stick art as well. I've got the money but it's hard to find somebody who could do it for me.

I've got a Mayflash myself... it's not that hard of work... most people just buy the Sanwa JLF and buttons, and put shit in themselves.

Moderately difficult:

Steel dremmeling -- dremmeling is pretty uncomfortable. It's like your first time driving a car. Keep that shit smooth, and you'll be done grinding those 28mm holes to 30mm in no time.

De-soldering -- get the braid on there, put the iron on for a few seconds, and lift both at the same time. Monotonous, boring work that's not too hard. Just don't go overboard and screw up your solder point. Use extra lead when soldering on connections for extra EZ mode.

Soldering on to PCB -- yeah, the points are small, and kinda annoying. Just make sure you follow a diagram and work diligently. Not too hard. NEVER 4GET: USE COLORED WIRES. THEY WRILL HERLP YOU ROTS.

Easy:

Snapping on buttons -- after you have your 30mm holes, insert, and secure them with snap-ins.

Installing a joystick -- okay, the stock stick is on there kinda tough. Just pull out your balls and twist that shit out. Then, screwing stuff in should be easy as hell.

If you don't have the tools, go around your neighborhood, go to your campus wood-shop, or just go to home depot or something to ask for help.

It would be fun to modd a stick but I don't have the time anymore. I just looking for someone who can build me a dependable stick with a Sanwa JLF stick and Semitsu KN-14 buttons that is easy to maintain. I'm trying to go from beginner to pro in 4 games by next year so I'm going trying to get it asap so I can get started.

I dunno what you want to spend but i've got a couple sticks I'll be putting together within the next month.

I'll have 2 wireless Xbox360 sticks, and 2 wired cases that'll work on both the 360 and PS3.

Is it easy to play Guilty Gear on a stick with a square gate? I'm considering getting one, but a square gate makes it sound really difficult to play effectively on... Oh yeah. And would Hori's SF3 work on GGXXAC+ on the PS3? I've heard mixed results concerning compatibility.
