Hecatom Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 (edited) i noticed that when i make a new post my av and sometimes the post look very small compared to the others, it gets fixed when i reload, but im not sure why it happens :P Edited November 17, 2011 by Hecatom
shtkn Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 before anyone asks: yes the subforums dont' show up in pretty tables on teh main forum page for now. i need to fix a plugin that didnt' work with the recent forum software upgrade. i need to head out so i cant fix it till later this weekend. edit: should be fixed now
Veven Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 On the frontpage, on the left sidebar titled "Other Sites of Interest" the Mizuumi wiki links are both broken, now that the Mizuumi BB and GG wiki's are gone. I don't even know why I'm reporting this in these forums, I check this site once every few months. Maybe it's because I used to love dustloop, and I can't bear to see her in a state of disrepair. Love will find a way.
Urichinan Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 If the plans on making character sub-forums for Skullgirls is still true, then I suggest making them pretty soon. The game will be out soon and I think organization might help with the crowd of people that starts to flood in all at once. Just my two cents.
shtkn Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 i think mizuumi deleted the bb/gg wikis they were hosting. i'll make the sg char subforums in a moment
Urichinan Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Small error: You have Filia's sub-forum written with two L's, her name only has one.
ARMs7777 Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Hi everyone. I like how you guys have the stream calendar to make it easy to find streams, so i was wonder if its possible to have a tournament and rambat callender perhaps. It would help lazy people like me spot events close by much easier.
Blade Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I'm asking this here cuz I'm dumbfounded... What does Dustloop Forums have that Shoryuken Forums does not? Why does Dustloop work but SRK is slow as molasses? Are you guys just better at PHP????
Skye Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 This is just a small hunch, but SRK is far more popular, and usage on the forum equates to more stress on their server. More stress on server = server acting slow. Relative to that (either server space or server activity), dustloop is far more contained.
Blade Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Really I...I find it hard to believe a server could possibly be that slow. GameFAQs gets much more traffic than SRK does (I'm pretty sure of this), even despite lack of Avatars, yet things run smoothly for them.
Skye Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Server activity and the noticeable effects of it is proportional to how much server space the site actually has. GameFAQs could simply have more server space than SRK, again, just a wild guess on my end.
Blade Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Alright thanks. I hope that problem gets fixed though.
freelander Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 If you go to the subforums from the main page by the links of the left side(bb, gg, sg subforums) then when you arrive at the subforum, the character threads won't show up properly. They're still there but they can't be seen except if you drag select their text.
shtkn Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 yes, this is a known bug with the vbulletin software: this problem exists even in the default skin. i once tried to fix this myself, but didn't get very far. maybe a software patch down the line will fix this issue, but for now htere's not much i can do.
zeth07 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) Wasn't sure where I should post this, I added a stream event to the calender, but I can't delete it myself. I was told I could before I made it, but I wasn't sure if that was a mod only ability. Kurushii told me he was able to delete his own stream events before he was even a mod, so I'm not sure what's up. It's telling me I don't have the privileges. EDIT: Well the calender updated with my edits at least, so nevermind about that. Edited February 18, 2012 by zeth07
Mr. Kimura Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I take this is related to the above picture?
shtkn Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 no, it's not, it's a separate color issue i've had to fix on other skins before, i'll check that later
Jyosua Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 So, I think someone should make a George XIII ball smiley. Because everyone LOVES him so much. Yes, I'm actually serious.
SoWL Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 About the Guilty Pleasures shuffle: where will all the non-video threads from there go? Zepp Museum, I assume? For example, what is the forum to discuss X-Blaze now?
Urichinan Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I'd suggest adding some line breaks between the gameplay/wiki/frame data sub-forums and the character forums for each section so they don't run together. It makes it a lot easier on the eyes and easier to look through.
shtkn Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 yes, imtrying to modify a plugin to do that now. its been a long night
BioLogIn Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Not to raise any flame or something, but current topics and forum division makes zero sense to me (as to a GG player). It was kinda getting worse and worse every time for like last two or three changes, but it's understandable, forums get bigger, you have other games, etc. etc. But current situation is like a borderline. I mean, do we really have to look for GG topics through like 4 categories and some crazy amount of subforums? Maybe it is possible at least to move 'Guilty Pleasures' to a Guilty Gear category (possibly splitting some topics to a similar subforum at BB)?
Circuitous Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 You have to look for GG stuff through two categories with a total of three boards (not counting character boards), and "look" is a bit of a misnomer since the only part that could be considered difficult is finding the video thread, on a board with only about ten threads in it. Yes it's more divided than it was before, but it's hardly troublesome at this point. Give it some time. About the Guilty Pleasures shuffle: where will all the non-video threads from there go? Zepp Museum, I assume? For example, what is the forum to discuss X-Blaze now? 1. Yes. 2. X-Blaze isn't a fighting game, so it won't be discussed here.
