SayaSP Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 5B > 2C > 6D > Hatsu > RiichiA > RiichiA > Ippatsu > Tanki Hatsu > land so this combo, isnt riichiA just the command jump to the staff? is it actually like riichiA ippatsuA ippatsuB? im kinda confused. Also whats tanki hatsu, never had to do that before :V could be a name for something i know but cant put a name to
rinuskoe Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 @Nini: depends how you start the combo, off a chun with no staff in sight you probably will go into jBCB for damage and corner carry too. off other things there are usually better alternatives, but bcb will be one of the main combo route staffless.
Nakkiel Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 5B > 2C > 6D > Hatsu > RiichiA > RiichiA > Ippatsu > Tanki Hatsu > land so this combo, isnt riichiA just the command jump to the staff? is it actually like riichiA ippatsuA ippatsuB? im kinda confused. Also whats tanki hatsu, never had to do that before :V could be a name for something i know but cant put a name to Riichi is indeed the command jump (63214A/B/C w/ staff planted). Tanki Hatsu is IppatsuB.
LunaKage Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Riichi is indeed the command jump (63214A/B/C w/ staff planted). Tanki Hatsu is IppatsuB. Your name is also the name of a guitar model.
SwitchPlaya Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 im having trouble trying to land the J.BCB combo then land on the ground then do it again. is there a timing to this or is there something i am missing??
C0R Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 Your name is also the name of a guitar model. But it's Stylin Guido! Or Salty Gangster Whichever works.
KD Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 im having trouble trying to land the J.BCB combo then land on the ground then do it again. is there a timing to this or is there something i am missing?? j.BC(delay)B
SwitchPlaya Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 j.BC(delay)B Thanks allot it worked but my other issue is trying to do the legit mid combos i cannot connect 5B once i dash in the opponent always tech's trying to do this Three Dragons White>Red>Dash>5B
Nakkiel Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Just keep practicing dash buffer 5B]m[ (66 5/4B) after Chun, there's no secret to it. But it's Stylin Guido! Or Salty Gangster Whichever works. soggyGrapes superGundam seattle'sGreatest sadGuy swordGreat (lol monster hunter)
Fugu Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 I don't understand why the current combo thread has combos listed where you input Ippatsu B without being on the staff (Riichi B?). I also don't understand why it's locked because this doesn't seem like an appropriate place to ask.
Nakkiel Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 What combo are you even asking about? I also would assume it's locked until LK cleans the first post up.
Fugu Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 -J2D-dash 6C1-back kote-(dash 2C or dash 5B or dash 5B6B)-hatsu~ippatsuB-dash hatsu haku-chun-dash 5B-JBJCJB-dash 6C ~2C-daisyarin6666-dash hatsuhaku-daisyarin last-dash under-hatsu haku~ippatsu B-5D hold(just hold it until it release automatic)-5B-hatsuchun-D1-JBJC-D2-6C-ittsuC-JC Both list Ippatsu B without listing how to get there. Without having seen the j.2D combo I don't really have any idea how to do it; I'm assuming there's a crossup on the 2C/5B because otherwise you're hitting them the wrong way for a Riichi A, and because that appears to be what happens in the second combo. In the 5B 2C 6D corner combo he also has Riichi A listed twice consecutively but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that that's just a typo. And yes it makes sense that he would lock the thread until the information is more complete to prevent large swarms of questions I guess.
KD Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 -J2D-dash 6C1-back kote-(dash 2C or dash 5B or dash 5B6B)-hatsu-riichiA~ippatsuB-dash hatsu haku-chun-dash 5B-JBJCJB-dash 6C I haven't tried the second combo you listed because I'm lazy and don't feel like messing with Daisharin I think its because he kinda put these up in a hurry and just left them in shorthand assuming we would be able to know riichiiA comes before and such.
Fugu Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 I assumed it was Riichi A but I can't seem to get it. Am I supposed to cross up with 6C(1) 2C? Otherwise I don't see how it's possible.
Nakkiel Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 6C(1) dash 2C (she should cross under here, but still be facing the way you dashed), also note that dash 2C doesn't work on everyone. TK Hatsu to correct your direction. 6C(1) 66 2C 2147B etc., make sense?
KD Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Also don't forget that you can substitute 5B in place of 2C if you are having trouble. She'll have to cross under and auto turn around for it to hit. You can also use 2A as well and it is easier, but it'll prorate a bit more.
KD Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 2C is also not supposed to auto-turn around. I never said it did. I was talking about 5B and 2A.
Fugu Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Yeah I got it. My problem was that I basically had no idea what the combo was supposed to look like; it's not too complicated.
Lord Knight Posted May 17, 2011 Author Posted May 17, 2011 Near corner combo routes: Starters: 1 - Most stuff (including forward throw) > 2C > 6D 2 - 4D or most stuff staffless or Itsuu > 6kote or Back throw > itsuuA > 6kote > haku~ 4 - Staff1 CH > stuff > haku > chun Middle - Staff is near the corner 1 - Hatsu > RiichiA > Ippatsu > Tanki Hatsu 2 - Hatsu > RiichiA > Ippatsu > back jump kote, late jB 3 - Hatsu > RiichiA > Ippatsu > drop > air backdash > jHatsu > Haku > Chun Enders 1 - Hatsu > Haku > Chun > 5B > 6C(1) > 4Kote > jB > dj > jBCD > falling jC > staff2 > 6C 2 - (5B) > jB > delay jC > delay jB > 6C(1) > 4Kote > jB > dj > jBCD > falling jC > staff2 > 6C 3 - 5B > 6C(1) > 4Kote > jB > dj > jBCD > falling jC > staff2 > 6C 4 - 6C(1) > 4Kote > jB > dj > jBCD > falling jC > staff2 > 6C This stuff is for when the staff is near the corner. Anytime you hit with 6D, you should probably go into Middle 1. Ender 3 is great for when you're unsure about how much you can do. Ender 4 is the easiest ender (obviously). Chun connects to 6C(1) in the corner (according to the wiki, I haven't tried it.) Of course, there are other things (such as j2B combos) but you usually need starter 1 (and normally just 5B or something), and it's still a little tight. . . the fancy stuff should be saved for special starters. I'll be pasting this in the CS2 combo thread as well. Source for this is jp atwiki. Examples: (2A) 5B > 2C > 6D(2) > Middle 1 > Ender 1 Forward throw > dash 2C > 6D > Middle 1 > Ender 2 Staff is far away: 2A > 5B > 5C > haku > chun > Ender 3
Fugu Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 In the combo thread you have a combo that is Starter 1, Middle 1, and Ender 1, with the only difference being that it's j. BCB dj. BCD as opposed to j. B dj. BCD. What's the deal with the change? I've actually been doing j.B dj.BCD the whole time simply because I drop j. BCB dj. BCD a lot (I can land it but there's basically no chance that I'll get the j.C afterwards and I've never gotten 6C(2)). EDIT: If people are sick of asking me questions, I can stop. =P
TeeJay Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 (edited) How do you link J.b and j.c for litchi mission 5, combo 2? The j.c just never comes out. I see the animation but no hit. Everything else works well. Should I be able to always link j.c after jump j.b on a grounded opponent? Sorry if this is the wrong thread. Edited May 17, 2011 by TeeJay
Ichiban Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 either youre IAD is too slow or youre just a little late on J.b to connect with the J.c, hope this helped xD
