Yeah. So far Lambda and Mu are bust. Timing for the height when the 5d hits is tight and so is the timing to make sure the 2nd 6a is staffless. I've been using 6b feint after the first 6a to create a perfect timing. Looks sexy too while you spin on them in the middle of a combo lol.

new 6b combo, does about 4.5k (same as the non dp 6b ch combo) and looks more consistent and cooler

6b ch > dash 5b > 2c > 6d(1) > dash 5c > 5d > chun > staff2 > tk chun > 2c > 6d(2) > hatsu > haku > chun > 5b > 6c(1) > 4kote > jB > dj jBCD > falling jC > ender

and here it is in video form http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBQUG4mnEcA&t=06m48s

Safe to say it won't work exactly like that for Noel and that bunch of characters that are hard to otg with 5C right?

I've been taking the 5D->D advice against my local Carl and that 1-9 matchup is back to 5-5 where it started back in September.

It works very well against Carls who want to be aggressive and love that j.C, sometimes you don't have to think about when you hit the second D, but placing staff and throwing around like a madwoman really irritates carl and sets you up for midscreen combos, although be careful in the air on approach, carl isn't completely defenseless.

Anyways, Thanks Dustloop and stream monsters! I am back in the game vs Carl, now.

I just turtle the fuck out of Carl. It's just generally not worth the trouble to go in, and if he makes a bad decision with Nirvana it's basically open season.

galileo is done with litchi

chou has the highest psr, shounen has the highest win rate

both have alternate names on their dcards

do you guys find any particular use for her 63214[e] series in neutral

ive seen a few players try to do that after a blocked j.d in cse lol, but it usually just gets them hurt

Can't believe I didn't say anything about this since I use it all the frigging time.

I think:

The reach series is really good if you know how to use it and have the matchup experience to know when you can or can't do it.

ReachA after j.D is very unsafe. I think they thought you were going to dash in but did it anyway..

When you don't, you end up reaching into a DP, lose to your own "startup" as they hit you, or an air-to-air, which really can hurt.

Otherwise, Reach does a few things for you -

-Repositions you out of corner or back into neutral

-Repositions your stick - offering a neutral hit and making and sometimes making them forget about the stick. (bad idea for them)

-Gets you on the stick - this is obvious with reachA, but the implications of reachA are ippatsuA/B/C, which means damage and combos. I know. I've blown your mind.

- What I want to work on personally is using reach more safely and using reachC. ReachC confuses the hell out of opponents and you have a few options when using it.

I find reachB->2C[e] hits often, but I don't think it's very safe - they are usually on approach as you toss the stick, and I wonder if you can 3C instead?

Does anyone know if the bnb where litchi simply does a modified cs2 combo, hatsu tanki hatsu, tk hatsu. Does more damage then the newer 6A and 6DxN combos? Fio is probably the most commonly filmed but god he is so damn boring. Litchi's damage has gone down well... A LOT lol, but yea, players like hane just interest me so much more.

Here's an idea of where I am right now:

http://livestre.am/19SsH

Some ranked, I how some of my challenge mode, some practice.

@17:40 Challenge 7

@20:16 Challenge 10

@22:00 6C(1)->Kote->6C(1)->Kote->6C(1)->Kote->6C(1)->Kote

Also - I've been told to stop doing chun and try to mix in 4D and 6A. Good stuff or no?

I need help!

What's up Star-Demon, I'm pretty sure I've seen you (well, I guess you've seen me) on Peaceful Jay's streams sometimes. Do you have Xbox Live? We could spar some on there and I could maybe give you some answers to your questions. I like to think I have okay enough knowledge to help you out some.

Hmmmm... If playing litchi was a language, your playstyle is complete gibberish to me. Stop using four winds. Also if you're too far away when you land itsuu C to 6c then is j.B j.B j.C etc really that hard? Uhh in general you seem to lack any real formula or flowchart. Litchi is all pre meditated auto pilot to be quite honest.

Oh. I suck. okay. I'll work on that. Thanks.

You shouldn't use that kind of demeaning tone when offering criticism imo.

Anyway Star-Demon, I'd suggest getting some basic combos down and getting familiar with Litchi's moveset and gatlings, you missed out on a lot of opportunities to convert hits into damage+corner carry.

I've finished the first 5 challenge combos - I've been working a lot on 7 and 10 and doing a lot better. The real cool thing is you can piece some sections together, I just never realized until I was actually able to do a few in a match offline. It's a work in progress, though. I've always been way more focused on being able to move around, defend myself, and know wen to attack, since Most of the time, even though I can pull off say Challenge 7, I need to be able to do that versus a human player in a netplay environment.

I'm working on remembering what gatlings into what. Someone told me to use more 6A and 6B after 5B, so I'm working on using them more.

It's hard going from offline and online casuals to the next level...people actually know how to deal with silly and stupid stuff and just don't put up with it. You can't just "figure it out" and dawdle along until you win and consider yourself done.

probably one of the worst things i've seen written on this board so far

star-demon: i haven't watched the vids since I don't really have the time right now, but rather than continuously working on challenge mode combos try your hand at the BnBs listed here on the forums :)

I agree with LK, you just need to get a better feel of how the character functions first.

Secondly, stop doing challenge mode combos, try to learn the real BnB's. They aren't much harder and they're way more reliable. =)
