rtl42 Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Aw, that sucks about the whole misinformation and ladies only tournament thing. I didn't even know there were ladies only tournaments. o_o they have 'em at a-cho; once in a while they'll put up vids from the last four fights.
RageBot Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 Man, you gonna go to the X-Japan reunion? So jealous
ElvenShadow Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 update action http://elvenshadowmike.blogspot.com/
Tsak Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 damn! i hope you get to team with Domi and Basara that would be one beast ass team
Cadenza Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 they have 'em at a-cho; once in a while they'll put up vids from the last four fights. Whoa, never noticed this. I'd want to watch. And awesome, Domi, Basara, Elvenshadow - best of luck to you guys if it pulls through.
Hellmonkey Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 I hate that indirectness (especially not knowing if they're doing it or not), interesting read as always.
axel Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Why don't you team with me for the last chance qualifiers?
ElvenShadow Posted March 6, 2008 Author Posted March 6, 2008 cuz id rather try to qualify earlier so that I dont have to rely on the last chance qualifier and have our team not get randomly selected to try like last time :P
rtl42 Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 hey elvenshadow, just in case you were wondering, this is results page for the 5-man team tourney that (i think) you attended: http://gamechariot.com/g3_080217_5on.html (well, it's only the winning team, but anyways, just in case you were curious who the rest of the guys were.)
axel Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 That's actually 012 (the guy wearing red). Seems like his nick is a parody to Oganii, which is Ogawa's alternate nick.
ElvenShadow Posted March 10, 2008 Author Posted March 10, 2008 yea the original members I posted were all correct. Oini is indeed 012 O for Zero, I for Ichi, Ni for Ni. N or (En) is the slayer and the rest are as I said, haken, FAB, isa. I should have another update up tomorrow, i dont have time to type it up today
ElvenShadow Posted March 10, 2008 Author Posted March 10, 2008 Does anyone know where I can find a complete list for the dates and locations for all SBO qualifiers? It doesnt seem to be on the tougeki website. I know when and where the first one is but after that Im not quite sure. I just want to start planning ahead
ElvenShadow Posted March 11, 2008 Author Posted March 11, 2008 blog updated http://elvenshadowmike.blogspot.com/
Cadenza Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Ooh baby, a hawt zappa player. Take a picture with her one day if you can. :o Sucks that no one showed up. I'd feel pretty shitty if I were the owner of that arcade. Unorthadox Sol's are pretty funny. Have you ever seen Kusoru's stuff? Did they play like that?
DubiousCurvLoop Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Is this one of the unorthodox Sol's you speak of: http://youtube.com/watch?v=YkRKD_3-wPk
ElvenShadow Posted March 11, 2008 Author Posted March 11, 2008 yea one of those sols could have very well been him. they played very similar and one even used that color. as far as the hot zappa, im not just gonna like go take her picture like a perv but if it ever comes up easily sure as far as Game Newton, im very surprised since they are one of the arcades sponsoring SBO hah
Cadenza Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Yeah, was hoping not to come off too pervy. It's just I've met zerooooo good female GG players. ;_; If they're sponsoring SBO, I'm surprised that at least a few other people didn't show up either.
ElvenShadow Posted March 13, 2008 Author Posted March 13, 2008 So, still just wondering if anyone knows of a page or something that lists the entire schedule and locations for all the SBO quals in Japan. Tougeki website still doesnt have it listed but maybe its somewhere else? EDIT: nevermind its in this months arcadia
ElvenShadow Posted March 17, 2008 Author Posted March 17, 2008 updated today http://elvenshadowmike.blogspot.com/
Hintalove Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Also, you've probably seen the big tougeki posters in the arcades that participated last year with the pictures and lists of 'who qualified here for what game'. Way before stuff actually starts happening similar posters go up proclaiming what qualifiers the arcade is going to have and when. They're pretty hard to miss most of the time.
