bang and rachel actually have alot of similarities. besides from physical things like hating bell peppers and have bad hitboxes, theyre both very impulsive, and they both hate losing. theyre both 'leaders' of their respective areas due to their old man dying, and they both have subordinates. among other things...

Why is there bang hate in the bang general thread :psyduck:

l dont think theres actual hate in here, lol. personally l can tolerate bang again, but he's still at the top of my hitlist when cs2 drops. a level 3 j.2c for every 5a that landed during cs1... yes, that is quite a fitting punishment. l shall enjoy my sadistic act, ohoho...

The recovery isn't only good for whiff, seems to be stronger for stagger too now. Might be even + on block now, or at least neutral or less - than it used to be.

Its only one frame of more startup, how can it hurt. I'll mash 5B even harder. That's the new fad now.

5A is neutral on block, while 5B went from -1 to -2. So IB'ing would make it -5, as opposed to -6 as it was in CS1.

His 5A was -3 on block and with IB'ing in CS1 made it -8, while in CSII it will be -3 at worst. Not bad (if I'm doing this correctly and if the frame data is correct).

Frame data and strategy is not my specialty. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

While 5B went from -1 to -2. So IB'ing would make it -5, as opposed to -6 as it was in CS1.

Oh, really? I've heard people say it was now +1 due to it being a higher attack level or something. Not that -2 is bad of course.

Bang's pressure seems to be a lot safer now.

His 5A is still good I would think, its got decent range and is still his fastest normal, he just won't get as much off of it anymore. At least midscreen, but that goes for the whole cast anyway now.

Unless you're Makoto or Hazama, or some other top tier character, I guess. /salt

Also I'm not sure how the attack level places into frame advantage, I just look at the frame data, if it says 0 or -2 or whatever, that's what I go by. If someone more experienced wants to enlighten me then go ahead.

About 3-4k depending on what attack you start with

He gets more than that. He gets 3k easy in corner, and probably 4k with Ashura or Daifunka, and that's not with FRKZ. With FRKZ he can still probably get 5k+.

I've heard Huey say that FRKZ is dead, SAY IT AIN'T SO!

In my opinion, from what I've seen in all the Japanese matches I've watched and the little time I spent on the PSP version, it still seems entirely optional just like it was in CT and CS1. It'll just be player preference, and I honestly prefer it that way.

From what I've seen Bang has some good practical corner combos without meter, that do over 3K.

I haven't had a chance to try but does any of his CS1 FRKZ combos still work in CS2?

J.4c loops are still somewhat there, so that sort of counts; personally i think that the (5a) 5b, 2b, 2c forward dash 5c, 6d forward dash 2d into j.4c stuff looks damn cool.

I'm also glad they made Ashura worth it to combo into now, as well as what you mentioned before; with his meterless corner stuff giving solid damage and oki most of the time. He looks so much fun at the moment.

How much dmg from a FRKZ combo you getting in the corner. In CS2 anyway

FRKZ from corner j.C starter:

4.4k on standing meterless, 5.3k with ashura

4k on crouching meterless, 4.9k with ashura

normal corner j.C starter:

4.2k meterless crouch or standing

4.1k meterless standing specific (flashier, lol)

4.7k with crouch combo into ashura

4.8k with standing combo into daifunka (or ashura)

At least, those are the ones I'm using. @.@
