Blade Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 First person to beat the game and get a Cast/Credits Screen Roll post up the VA list, okay guys...I need it for my VA List. GG2 Jap Cast so far: Sol--Johji Nakata Ky--Takeshi Kusao Dr. Paradigm--Yuji Mikimoto Izuna--Toru Furusawa Raven--Hiroki Yasumoto Sin--Issei Miyazaki That Man--Tomokazu Sugita Valentine--Chie Sawaguchi Announcer(ess)--Rachel Peters Servant Voice Talents (GG2 Overture): Hiroyuki Endoh Yukiko Kato Tomoko Karino Emiri Kimura Haruki Suzuki Masaru Suzuki Marie Takahashi Nami Hasegawa Yasushi Furukawa Yuki Mashiyama Kenjiro Matsuda Reiko Yamatozaki If anyone can gimmie the list, it'll help towards a "project" me and Raging Tofu are collaborating on...hehe, you'll see it soon enough. i think its Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (as in "The Major" from GitS) If this is true, I hope she sounds smexy.
Zeromegaman Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Im Still waiting on My Copy,Well honestly it isnt ine,I begged a Family member to get it because I wanted PS3.Wish it was on PS3...Oh Well Atleast I'll be able to live the moment. Cant wait
Heavenscent Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 what's up with that? why can't you credit voice talent for their work? I would've liked to have them listed in the credits, but it has more to do with union regulations. We credit people who want to be credited. If they don't wish to be listed, we'll respect their decision.
Heavenscent Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 got my copy. its delightful. but sadly, i just realized that i didn't get any sort of card or something for my DLC sol costume bonus for preordering at gamestop . . . :/ Hey, Zazz. Do you know what store number is your GameStop? I've been hearing reports that stores haven't been getting their codes. For anyone else that pre-ordered by didn't get their codes, visit this thread and post exact store numbers. I'll be posting updates there.
bucklemyshoe Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 so when can we buy some valentine merch? ^^^This
KD Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 Are there only enough codes to match the preorders or are there enough to be given out with normal walk in buys too? I didn't preorder GG2 because I knew I wouldn't have any extra money this week. Will the costume be offered up for points on the shop for those that missed the preorder?
Heavenscent Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Are there only enough codes to match the preorders or are there enough to be given out with normal walk in buys too? I didn't preorder GG2 because I knew I wouldn't have any extra money this week. Will the costume be offered up for points on the shop for those that missed the preorder? I'm fairly certain we produced more codes, but all of them went to GameStop. I have no idea how they're handling it, so you may wish to ask them. (Perhaps call their corporate office?) If you can wait, the costume will be offered up on Xbox LIVE after GameStop's exclusivity period ends, but I forget the exact date offhand. I mentioned it on our latest podcast though, if that means much to you.
Zazz Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 after calling my gamestop, i think i'll be able to head in tomorrow with my receipt and get my code card apparently my problem was that the cashier was from the stoner shift, not the good employee shift :8/: oh well i already beat story mode. those online videos make Diva Valentine look much easier than she really is also now i'm totally sure Wendee Lee plays her. you can tell when she start yelling. i hope arc announces an expansion or something. because, well, CAN YOU THINK OF AN RTS WITHOUT AN EXPANSION PACK?
Adelheid Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 There's not enough people in this thread proclaiming how awesome this game is and how awesome Aksys' work on it was.
JinSaotome Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 I would if I had a 360. |:< Though my cousin has one, so maybe I can get him to buy it...
Silmerion Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 My birthday's on the 26th, so I'm counting on getting it then.
sweetvids Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Man the price is 65$ in Canada. Don't know if that's including taxes but that's steep for a GG game. Sorry, not weaboo enough to get this game. IM@S yes, but not enough to pay 65$ for this. Will wait for the bargain bin. :psyduck: :psyduck: :psyduck: :psyduck:
Vrakanox Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 This game is awesome, it's the only thing i've been doing besides the necessities of living. You know what though, I still suck at it, guess I just need more practice
Vulcan422 Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 OK, here's the (hopefully final) Dub VA list. Sol: Troy Baker Ky: Liam O'Brien (Funny, considering both are FABULOUS) Sin & That Man: Yuri Lowenthal (really surprised on his performance of That Man) Izuna: Dave Wittenberg (can't tell at first, but it's him) Paradigm: Michael McConnohie Valentine: Wendee Lee Raven: Jamieson Price Announcer: Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (OMFG!!!) Additional Voices (STILL SUBJECT TO CHANGE): David Lodge, Dave Wittenburg, Kate Higgins, Karen Strassman, Wendee Lee, Laura Bailey, Doug Stone, Richard Epcar, Michael McConnohie Must...rip...announcer voice!
DonMungMung Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Announcer: Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (OMFG!!!) WHAT WHAT WHAT?!?! Holy shit, are ya serious? The lady who sings practically all the songs in Silent Hill?? Holeeee sheeeet another reason to get this game!! Cripes Aksys, ya really outdid yourself this time. This and Prince of Persia pretty much sold me for a 360 this holiday season <3
Zazz Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Additional Voices you should add richard epcar to that. he voiced one of ky's convict hammers in the main intro cutscene
CABINET SMASHER Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Dude, $65 is standard fare for ANY new X360 game. I'm pretty damn sure Mass Effect and Halo 3 sold for more up there in Canada.
BagLunch Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Dude, $65 is standard fare for ANY new X360 game. I'm pretty damn sure Mass Effect and Halo 3 sold for more up there in Canada. And $65 is pretty damn expensive, especially after the GST and PST.
Rift Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Man...I preordered this game, and I went into EB today, 2 days after it was supposedly released, and they said it comes out tomorrow, and they wouldn't sell it to me. So I had to go to a different EB to get it. What a load of bull. Is there some excuse as to why some EBs have different release dates than others?
sweetvids Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 Cause you're in Canada. I went to my EB games and they said the 10th. Not that it really mattered cause I'm not gonna shell out 65$ on this game. Games like Ninja Gaiden yes, but not this. :psyduck: :psyduck: :psyduck: :psyduck:
Zazz Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 here's a question that i've been wondering about: what's up with the pronunciation of Ky's last name? the english VAs say "kisk." and here i thought it was "kis-kay" (of course going by the GGX anime video probably isn't the best idea in retrospect) :8/: Must...rip...announcer voice! rip sol's and ky's voices. i'd love to see an AC match with the english voices dubbed in. (just turn down the voice volume and go wild. heck put back in the XX announcer while you're at it!) just don't use bandit revolver too much
Heavenscent Posted October 9, 2008 Posted October 9, 2008 here's a question that i've been wondering about: what's up with the pronunciation of Ky's last name? the english VAs say "kisk." and here i thought it was "kis-kay" (of course going by the GGX anime video probably isn't the best idea in retrospect) :8/: I guess I'll fill in for this. The katakana for his name is カイ=キスク (Kai Kisuku), so we went with the pronunciation "kisk". If the katakana was キスケ (Kisuke), we would have went with the "kis-kay" pronunciation.
