Finkledoodoo Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Well I can cancel CL's just fine. (from both sides of the screen) My trouble itself was with the inputs afterword to gattling chemical love. I know you say it makes no difference with stick but I have to disagree. I can tell in your posts that your control style and mine are two very different things and the motion in my wrist would be alot quicker than just my thumb. I have PKS mapped to L1 and respect mapped to R3. Also I never do 360's on the d-pad for chemical love, I just do a tk with 7 or 9. For 360's I use the analog, it's so much quicker and accurate (for me). Sometimes I also use a wierd set up [] = K, /\ = S, O = D, R1 = H, R2 = P. It may seem a bit odd but I use it for practice just incase I'm stuck in a match where mapping PKS to a single button isn't allowed. Of course I really don't think my method is the best for everyone considering I'm on my third controller (which needs to be replaced too) since AC has been released. I do practice alot, I have a timer set on my phone to go off at 11PM M-F so I practice atleast 5 times a week. It's this kind of harsh routine too. If I'm playing the computer (set on very hard) and I loose a match I do pushups. lol, safe to say after I loose a few times I really really try hard to not let it happen again. Nice to hear you are real competitor. Maybe, when I start to put up this strat guide I'm working on, you can contribute your findings in practice, laterz!!!
feri Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 BuckleMyShoe: Your the second analog user I know... I kinda wish I learned how to do that, it would sure freak my crew out if I was switching from D-pad to analog mid game. And I see we have someone new thats real serious in town! Would love to see some match vids.
Hsien_Jo Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 *Current Thoughts on Ino and her airdash combos* ........sniff sniff I love this game Im getting used to the motions, and doing combos like these are just so damn fun, the only problem is its harder for me to get it off on the left side, my hands get confused :/, Need more practice. The hardest thing for me is doing a 6frc6 with a 2D combo, the input window really is tighter than it is tiger kneed or airborn Im trying to take each step at a time, so once I get the left side down, ima work on the HCL 6frc6 on a stand alone HS, then when im brave enough try it with 5K , but I don't like depression so ima shy away from that for now lol. Thanks again for the tips, bucklemyshoe, and other guys Thanks to Ino, I made up some new tricks with May

Ugh, round2... also, I'm poor, so no vids for now... I'll go to a tourney sooner or later, I just have alot of work because of staffing issues...
ShibuyaX Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 whats the input for the tiger knee chemical love? also i was wondering if you dont tiger knee the CL can u still air dash after the frc?
9TNine Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 whats the input for the tiger knee chemical love? also i was wondering if you dont tiger knee the CL can u still air dash after the frc? Most people I believe use 6321476k or 632147896k. And you can't air dash after the FRC unless the CL is tiger knee'd or jump installed. -9
ShibuyaX Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 so let me ask you this....is it better to just assume to use the jump install chemical love frc and air dash after or just do a reg chain and just tiger knee chemical love frc? Assuming that u use the same chain combo.
Honnou Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Makes 0 difference except for the height of I-no and the opponent (in relation to each other) during the combo, which may need to be higher/lower depending on what you want to do. There is no other reason I can think of to do one or the other when both choices are available. Obviously if you had a chance to JI, you can combo into HCL 6FRC6 off more, but that's not what we were talking about.
bucklemyshoe Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 If there is anyone still learning this and is trying to gattling into it with the 360 TK method, when you press K/S is very important. The sooner you press it, the lower the chemical love will be. If you wait too long you'll chemical love too high and it could cost you the combo.
Alternate275 Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 Hmmm... How neat. Recently decided to learn I-no today =P Gonna be tough, without a TV to play GGAC on though >.> ~waits for PSP version~
Keizion Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I can't lie I-no is more bad ass than i gave her credit for. I kind of want to play her but since i'm so bad at the moment, i'm sticking to ABA for now. so for anyone who would know is this the method that they use for doing airdashes with ABA's Orb FRC?
Ryu Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 When jump installing chemical love do you have to press up during a jump cancel-able move? I can only jump install it when I use kick. For example K, 8+S, HS, CL frc -->
bucklemyshoe Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 you can also just do a mixup from the hoverdash. it has an auto jump install property. try (note) jk, js, 2k, c.s, 2s, 2d, hcl. you don't have to just press 8. for instance a 360 done as 63214+K(hold)7896(release) will jump install a stand alone 5K. and honestly I don't see why you would need to jump install that example. if you're going to follow up a 5H with HCL just tiger knee it with a 360. it's much easier. EDIT: to answer your question, yes it has to be a jump cancallable move.
Ryu Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 I never used jump install before using I-no. I'm not familiar with the mechanics. My list of jump install combos isn't that long. Hover dash? Is that the same for reload? Edit: OMG so your saying if I do 2369 HS frc, CL frc --> that'd work?
Ryu Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Oh. I have another question. When doing the 360 version do I actually have to come off the ground? In training I'm doing the commands perfect but I-no still doesnt dash. Heres a pic of my input http://s231.photobucket.com/albums/ee40/saiten-genjo-sanzo-hosu/Guilty%20Gear%20XX%20R/?action=view¤t=I-noairdash.jpg
4r5 Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Adjust your timing to accommodate hitstop. You may need to, either, time your first 6 closer to your FRC, or time your second 6 latter after the hitstop cause by CL. Or both. edit: oh, and 360 version shouldn't matter. You'll either get a JI'ed CL or an air CL, and either one should let you airdash afterwards. edit2: wait a minute, I wasn't following the thread. Did I even answer a question that was asked?
bucklemyshoe Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 You shouldn't. If you do than you're doing a TK'd version. Oh, I don't think her hoverdash auto jump installs in reload. I was assuming you were on AC. Why are you hitting respect? If you're hitting respect to keep I-No from jumping while inputting the command than you're doing it waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy too slow. The timing has to be perfect so I'm assuming that is where your failure issue lies but just keep tyring, you'll get it right eventually. I would suggest you learn to TK airdash before you learn how to jump install airdash.
bucklemyshoe Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 edit: oh, and 360 version shouldn't matter. You'll either get a JI'ed CL or an air CL, and either one should let you airdash afterwards. It does matter, if you TK a standalone 5K it won't combo. 5K has to be jump installed.
Ryu Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Different button setup I guess. L1 and L2 are too close to my stick. so i have X = P, square = k, triangle = s, R1= hs, and r2 = Dust. The thing is. I pull off jump install combo more than the 360 version. thats why I thought you have to actually jump. Its like it doesnt read the command. =/ When I'm already in the air I can air dash no problem. The problem is while im on the ground.
ghost333 Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 is this the pc version? or u play on xbox/ps2 one?
