Urichinan Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 If only people had the same mentality as you when it comes to combos,Woz. And no I am not being sarcastic. Stupid IPhone word correction. XD Twas a typo. TECHABLE, if it's techable then it isn't a combo.
toanenadiz Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Plat's frame data is out it seems. http://dustloop.com/guides/bbcs2/frameData/platinum.html
dummyacct7 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 so its not good then ugh im never using the bat -_- Confusion between Excalibur and Excalibolg?
Sakaku Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Why are her frame advantages from magical piko hammer lvl 1~3 "+3", "+6" and "+8" instead of +3, +6 and +8..?
kid viper Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 imo platinum doesn't have a best item because of all the stiuational uses for them pan = good mixup potential/ damage. instant overhead pan = 4k near corner/3k+ midscreen plus oki but mixup can be obvious bat = good gimmicks/ dp reversal but loses positioning due to recovery and the opponent being knocked away. lion = good counter poke/ don't do stupid stuff from far away but whiffs face to face. bombs = good for stopping air movement and keeping people away/oki setup off of 3c but can easily be avoided/ telegraphed. hammer = good guardbreak (2 regular/3 sugoi version) and damage (7-8k) but is slow so you have to really be positive that you're going to land it/guard crush someone. missile = good zoning/ frame traps but can be avoided easily because of slow start up.
Yggjrasil Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Stupid IPhone word correction. XD Twas a typo. TECHABLE, if it's techable then it isn't a combo. lol I didnt even catch the typo XD I was really being serious about your mentality
Nekuraba Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 so its not good then ugh im never using the bat -_- Bat's awesome, It saves lifes trust me @ Uri I've seen alot of broken continued combo's ......so many....so many T_T thats why I asked :o
shiosakiharuto Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 ugh, noob here who finally managed to connect 5c after the first hammer. after like 18 hours of platina play but i still dont understand what was the problem last time
Moy_X7 Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Man, she has some slow ass normals but at least she gains frame advantage off 5A and *gasp* 6B.
Yggjrasil Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 That 5A is pro, I think it's probably the best 5A since Bang.
Blade Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Just posting this here to inform people: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?9902-Versus-Unlimited-Characters-matchup-thread-(Emergency-Use)&p=980213&viewfull=1#post980213
Cirno Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 It's appreciated, but slightly inaccurate. To be fair, I posted this early morning yesterday, but Circ was a bit slow with the button pressing. It's all good, though. I did mention something about having a lot to say, after all.

LOOOOOL YOUR EPIC FOR ADDING MADOKA OPENING FOR PLAT VID XD (always listens to connect when using plat) also nice that review is pretty well done good work
SoWL Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Wait, how the hell are you supposed to link 6C into 22C? Not only does Plat become airborne (while you can only use Falling Melody on the ground), the enemy is not lying on the ground for you to hit him. What exactly am I missing here?

It's like Ragna's 22C, so long as the opponent has touched the ground during the combo you can use 22C. A example: 5B > 5C > 236B(They hit the ground) > 5C > 2C > 214C > (Walk backwards) 6C > 22C > 5C > Air Combo 1 EDIT: I don't think we need a character specific combo section anymore, should we change it to a install mode section or should I just delete it? Urichinan Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 i need help linking up 6c>22c>5c What's the problem. Also what's the combo you're trying?
SoWL Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 22C can be used in the air. Well it doesn't say so in the move list. I get j2C most of the time instead, though it does seem to link right after 6C lifts you up. It's like Ragna's 22C, so long as the opponent has touched the ground during the combo you can use 22C. A example: 5B > 5C > 236B(They hit the ground) > 5C > 2C > 214C > (Walk backwards) 6C > 22C > 5C > Air Combo 1 Indeed, it does work now that I try it. Thanks. Another problem that I have is that I whiff the second jC in the hammer loop on some characters, like Lambda and Litchi. Do I need to use the regular jump on them, or is it just the matter of timing? Also, do I understand correctly that you should only go through the loop twice, leaving one charge of hammer and enough time to finish it with 632146C, recharging it?
Cirno Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 (edited) I was making this to respond to you, SoWL, but I guess I was a bit too late. ┐(´ー` )┌ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCrEBtva0lE Another problem that I have is that I whiff the second jC in the hammer loop on some characters, like Lambda and Litchi. Just tried on Litchi and Lambda, and it's not whiffing. You should superjump, and there isn't any specific timing to my knowledge. And yes, you should only be going through the loop twice. Also, I'm pretty positive her other two 5A animations have the tiniest bit of extra reach than her "rock" animation. Since the extra range is so small, I doubt this would ever be practically useful, but I thought it interesting. Edited April 2, 2011 by Cirno
dummyacct7 Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 (edited) i need help linking up 6c>22c>5c I was having trouble with this too until I realised my timing was off. You actually want to hit with as close to the end of the 22C animation as possible so you're able to follow it up. The mistake I was making was trying to delay the 22C to make sure it would hit, but doing this makes it impossible to follow up. Instead, what you need to do is start by trying to hit them as late as possible with 214C, so they're closer to the ground. You'll want to be standing maybe half a character width away from them to use 6C, and then you want to do 22C pretty quickly afterwards, not immediately though, around when the staff nears the end of its swing animation for the 6C. If you do it right, the pogo stick should connect as it sort of juts out near the end of its animation, and you'll have time to connect the 5C. Edited April 2, 2011 by dummyacct7
