dioxideUniversa Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 (edited) Couldve sworn his name is Kake. But yeah, that's the a-cho Hakumen. IIRC he has some weird ambiguous (chinese?) kanji in his name or something like that. either way it was confirmed early in CSE, he's one of the more known players long withstanding anyway, is this game out yet?! i want to do videos for the combo thread. ): Edited December 4, 2012 by dioxideUniversa
mAc Chaos Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Yeah, next up on the list are Mac and Spark. NEC was totally gdlk, Mac. You really missed something there. BB top 8 was incredibly fucking hype with Dora being such a crowd pleaser. There were so many good moments I can't count them all. I should set up a Haku section at the next Major and host an all Haku tournament.

LegendaryRath Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I should set up a Haku section at the next Major and host an all Haku tournament. Yes, Yes, YES, YESSS!!
BladeOfJustice7 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Am I the only one who hates mirror matches, and thanks dioxide, I figured that's who the hakumen was. And I've never heard of "Shippu" before. EDIT: Speaking of mirror matches, now that I'm done my 20 page term paper and not sleeping. I'll be uploading some of my recent offline adventures, one of them is between me and Nolan. We did it for the Hakumen forums :o If any of you want I'm welcome to advice/criticism.
mAc Chaos Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 When I was first starting off I kind of felt like people who pushed mirrors were trying to say they were better than me or some stupid bullshit, but nowadays I'm just hungry to fight anyone I can learn stuff from, and usually everybody reacts to situations differently and at least lets me see what works and doesn't work. Plus, I think in this case specifically, we're all familiar with each other on the Haku forums and it's fun to get to play against people you know. The only difference is we use the same character here. Also, I feel that most of the skills you use in Haku mirrors specifically can carry over to other matchups since it's just footsies / fundamentals based.
itsme Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 (edited) Haven't heard of Shippu myself. Also, I'm on the same boat as mAc. I've been itching to play Haku mirrors recently though for some unknown reason, I always miss my chance to play Hakus on player matches whenever I wait for my turn :/. itsme Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Hawaii standard, GMT -10. The biggest problem I have is that my connection is ass even if it's west coast folks so I barely can get really good matches.
itsme Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Yeah.... Oh wells, I'm going to hope I can play some mirrors with you guys in the future. Hopefully I can find a chance to make my way to the states for some major in the near future ( ◇)人(◇ )
Warhound Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I'm in ol' Saint Louie, so uh...in mid-westerners here?
SansProtocol Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Do the Haku section at Final Round. That way Minion and I can make it out lol. Not like you need anyone else www.
Tecta1Eastside Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Wait ppl pass probably right through my area in Georgia for Final Round and no one tells me. Im hurt. I'll never play at a major tournament. Where the 9k hakumen combo ppl keep mentioning anyway?
Tecta1Eastside Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 It's here in all of its glory I guess I should get hype but I didnt. Well thanks.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 This is coming from a guy who thought cs2 hakumen was awesome. >_>
itsme Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I liked CS2 Hakumen too since he felt more technical to play. CT was YUKIKAZE IS THE COOLEST SHIT EVER, CS1 was braindead+6D>Mugen>Tsubakoptr, CSE was neat Haku techs with solid damage and JUMP B. Also, I just realized when Hakumen gets astral'd by Amane and turns into Pakumen, he turns his gaze towards the player like he doesn't know what the hell is going on.
BladeOfJustice7 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I liked CS2 Hakumen too since he felt more technical to play. The concept was good, but what made him a good character in design was all lost. Tecta thinks cs2 Hkaumen was DA BESS, you think cs2 was "cool". There's a difference. CT was YUKIKAZE IS THE COOLEST SHIT EVER, Wait it's not the coolest move even still? Though OD yukikaze is even cooler. CS1 was braindead+6D>Mugen>Tsubakoptr, CSE was neat Haku techs with solid damage and JUMP B. CS1 was dumb and repetitive, csex was the culmination of every version of hakumen, in terms of what made him a good character. Also, I just realized when Hakumen gets astral'd by Amane and turns into Pakumen, he turns his gaze towards the player like he doesn't know what the hell is going on. Where did you see this?
Nannoth Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Where did you see this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7a-1FOwhmR4&feature=player_detailpage#t=259s I believe that "incredulous" is a word that applies to Hakumen as well.
Isuna Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Regarding the players at that a-CHO tournament, I can't still watch the clip for some reason at my main computer. I'm guessing my flash is out to date, but it won't update itself. : / Seems like you knew the players anyway, but if you wan't any clarifications I demand screenshots.

There's a difference. Uhh, I guess CS2 is the best if you consider it as the roots of how CSE Hakumen came to be (specials property changes, Mugen Shippu minimum 4k)? I honestly couldn't think of what CS2 Hakumen was best at considering most of his good stuff carried over to CSE. Wait it's not the coolest move even still? Though OD yukikaze is even cooler. It still is and OD Yukikaze is cool as hell. I'm kind of sad I don't rely on that move as much as I did before, so I don't get to see myself use it that much any more :/ Also, here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7a-1FOwhmR4#t=4m19s
