mAc Chaos Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 I thought it was always shouted at me when selecting characters that I was playing this guy I always heard it as HAK MEN but now I can't unhear.
bakahyl Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 I always heard it as HAK MEN but now I can't unhear. Don't diss Sawashiro Miyuki's "Engrish"
psycofang2 Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 Gooren. never heard Roonka. havent seen to many haku combo variants. are we back at cs1 teir where we only have like 3 combos?
itsme Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 havent seen to many haku combo variants. are we back at cs1 teir where we only have like 3 combos? Can't wait for CP j2A > j2C loops :V Also, the jbbs recently tried figuring out step Agito's usage in Haku's pressure and it seems because of the lower altitude compared to air dash/jump Agito, most opponents can mash out with their 5A after blocking the Agito so I'm guessing Haku is at a minus when using Agito. We can cancel it into Hotaru and Tsubaki to make frame traps but I kind of hoped it was at least plus :/.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 I always heard it as HAK MEN but now I can't unhear. My friends heard it as Pac Men.
TheYukianesa-01 Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 My friends heard it as Pac Men. I use Tetsuya's voice in CS and always hear it as "HAHHKUUMEN". But anyway.

itsme Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) Same, I guess step Agito is just the cheapest choice (aside from IADing in) when closing in on the opponent like Hazama where they might be baiting your step or Kishuu with their 3C and punishing them for it at best. Not sure if we can even get a CH off of it too considering all the characters lost a bunch of their CH state frames for most of their moves. Edited March 3, 2013 by itsme
itsme Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Also, regarding frame data: - it seems that either 3C became a frame faster at 8 frames start up or Renka became a frame slower at 10 frames start up, though it's leaning a lot towards the fact that 3C became faster. - the static difference after a blocked 3C is around -9f >~. - The second attack for Renka comes out 6 frames faster going from the old 15f to the new 9f, which should mean you can't reversal out of it at all after IBing the first hit.
itsme Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Normally. Don't know about 2B or if I missed it, iirc it also is minus on block now though I think it has extra active frames in exchange.
mAc Chaos Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) i am never going to win another match again just kidding! -15 never stopped me Looks like pretty much half the combos are just one combo over and over in CP for Hakumen. Remember how we thought Hakumen was screwed? That was because half his combo routes were sealed off. We escaped complete disaster because he gains enough stars for us to blow 5 or 6 on a combo for good damage, but our minimum amount of stars needed for a good combo is higher now. Although if you can get them airborne then you can still do the loop without using a lot of stars to launch them. Can he do Renka (1) > Kishuu and go into the loop? If so then at least 3 stars is enough for 3kish. I think I saw him do it but I can't remember. Edited March 3, 2013 by mAc Chaos
dioxideUniversa Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 i've seen more than one renka (1) combo. it's an option but not super good
itsme Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 I think he can go into 2 loops from a 5B/2B starter doing 5B/2B > Renka(1) > Kishuu > 2C > j2A > j2C > 5A > j2A > j2C > 5A > jB > j2A > jC and it does about 2.9k, 2.6k and I think the most optimal 5A/2A combo is confirming them into Enma for 2k~ damage with/without Agito since the Renka confirm uses one more mag either way and does about the same damage; but iirc doing Starter > Renka(2) > IAD j2A > 2C > jB > jC has the better corner carry with only 2 mags. Off of 5C, I'm not sure if the Renka confirm can go into 3 loops but off of 2 loops with a jC ender, it goes into 3.6k while confirming a 5C CH into Zantetsu(2) > 2 loops goes into 4.8k. Finally, going 2 loops Renka(1) > Kishuu off of a Renka starter nets about 2.7k. I'm not sure how many of them can go into 3 loops but I think it won't really add much damage in the end.
itsme Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm20256237 So it seems Yukikaze won't catch the double weakpoint BHS though it can catch it if you only have a single weakpoint, and it seems the easiest way to think of the weak points and BHS is that top weak point = low, bottom weak point = overhead, meaning you can 2D during super freeze to catch BHS if you only have the top wp but can't if you have the bottom wp. 5D and 6D can also catch it but those are too situational considering blocking would probably be the best alternative even if you could time it against a full screen BHS or you're better off just doing Yukikaze. I think they didn't test out jD against it mostly because of the minimum height requirement and I also remember reading in the Haku jbbs that BHS has a start up of 3f after super freeze, so no one can jump to barrier nor can we TK Hotaru at the fastest if they do a BHS at the maximum minimal range. And of course, Akumetsu can catch it completely.
toanenadiz Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 I really want to play you again if you have the time. Last time, it felt like I was just testing things and showing that I could block and do match-up specific things. I have a tendency to act like I'm in the lab throwing random things out if I don't get to play a certain character often lol. I can play on PSN if that's fine. If you are lucky enough to find me online, I'll play you. I haven't been netplaying much and on XBL, I am typically playing Skylanders and it is really hard to pull me away from Skylanders.

And it'll be PSN if we do anything. I'll find time when you're not on Skylanders lol. That is unless you barely netplay on PSN even when you were still pretty active? I'll let you know when I have a good connection to give it a go. Cool?
toanenadiz Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 I post in the netplay threads way more than I actually netplay. I typically netplay Wednesday nights (like 1/2am-ish) and randomly throughout the day Thursday and Friday (usually whenever someone wants to play me except when I dodge Mac)
Dreize Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 6B is now un-blockable? Ragna had to wake-up ID in order to escape the pressure. Damn.
BlackYakuzu94 Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 6B is now un-blockable? Ragna had to wake-up ID in order to escape the pressure. Damn. I think that's just the Ragna being a dumbass before realizing to ID.
