BlackYakuzu94 Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Yea, I've seen it a lot too. They can tech because that j.2C blue beats.
dioxideUniversa Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 presumably they would do it because the extra hits don't add that much extra damage but reduce hakumen's oki options i've seen it more commonly used against very high level hakumen players
CupofT Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 Makes sense. Extra 100~ damage for Hakumen to lose a couple options is a decent trade.
Spark Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 If they don't tech before the j.2C you can always combo j.2C into 3C on landing for a bit of damage, meter and knockdown still.
psycofang2 Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 which i repeat, it doesnt make sense to take the blow.
dioxideUniversa Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 did they change j.C's hitbox? http://www.dustloop.com/guides/bbcse/hitbox/hakumen/j.C.html
mAc Chaos Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Well that's weird. It would have to hit the blue part no matter what...
Wander Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 Spark, does the forward hop seem faster than in EX?
psycofang2 Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 did they change j.C's hitbox? http://www.dustloop.com/guides/bbcse/hitbox/hakumen/j.C.html it probably has a side sweeping hitbox. also i thought forward and back hops being faster were both confirmed buffs.
Spark Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Back is definitely way faster, the forward dash felt the same. So if it did get buffed it wasn't by much.
Errol Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 (edited) frame data says forward is the same and back is 15f instead of 27f. it would seem really odd to me to remove the landing recovery on j.C since they just put it BACK on platinum's j.C. But maybe they did. a 4f landing recovery is pretty hard to see to me unless you get hit out of it. Does this actually mean anything? I don't ever feel like the landing recovery on Jin or Mu's j.Cs has any real effect on gameplay. the hitboxes are too large for it to matter, but then I play short range characters. Moy_X7 Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 You mean Mr. Panties and Arm What's the deal with Haku's j.C beating Jin's j.C after a teched throw? Am I just mistiming my j.C?
Moy_X7 Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Yeah, I just tested it again and Hakumen's j.C reduces his hit-box enough to not get hit by Jin's j.C, meanwhile Hakumen's j.C has enough reach to send Jin flying.
