forward throw>hop hotaru>air dash>j.2a>2c>j.b>j.2a>dj.2c>agito = around 2.8k

back throw>guren>kishuu>2c works

j.b still has crossup hitbox

@blade theyre old characters for 123, pretty sure u get wut this means, no clue what you mean about supers

You never noticed that big symbol that ppears when you're charging shippu, it's blue. Nor the same symbol at the center of the yukikaze sumbol?

@Isuna, was does the calligraphy for each of hakumens special moves say? And what is that symbol that appears when he does a super/astral?

I don't think the calligraphy for Renka and Hotaru says something.

As for the kanji appearing when you use a special, it is capital numbers.

uh thats most likely buddhist script aka not chinese/japanese chars

Agito looks sort of cool. It seems to be purely vertical to cover up an angle he couldn't reach in the air before. I can see how it'd be good to crossup. Maybe it'll have some good use to it?

Eh. Reminds me of Jin's j.D crossups. Day 1 stuff. Tager blocks it and then you fall into his gentle mitts for a 720.

Who knows though. :P

What about that crush trigger.

i think itd be a bit too good for a 1 star move, it should really be a 2 star move since its a fucking kick and they should make it ground bounce so you get some sorta ground to air combo, they should give him like a 1 star air ver of his ct as a air combo ender thatd be pretty fucking sick looking

jin has ice car to run away/double crossup with ex ice swords to shove that 720 up his ass :D

Thanks for the replies and answers. Good to know, thought it was something cool.

With the angle that Agito hits (what does Agito mean?) how will it be useful off a hop?

Maybe it could be a combo ender now, in the corner. Since it looks like the old way doesn't work.

I'm not sure either. It looks like a move you would only do way high up in the air. Unless you could do it as some sort instant overhead if they're crouching, it might hit them somehow.

The reason hakumen was ass in ct, was because he was incomplete. They "balanced" him based off guesses, and no inputs from players. As such his projectile cutting ability was nigh useless, that it wasn't even used at his level player since if you cut something you couldn't move. he basically had NO way of dealing with zoning, nor could he really keep people out since there was no jc/4c. Which also kept him from getting knockdowns at the end of his combos. I find in extend he's back to hitting like a tank but with more creative ways of doing so.

I agree that he was very incomplete in CT, and compared to newer iterations CT Haku seems lacking. However, while his weaknesses were glaring, his strengths were beastly when compared to other iterations of the character. I don't think it's his best version (high tier wise that'd be CSE and what I'd consider "ideally balanced" would be CS1), but even back during CT's lifespan, I always said people didn't give him enough credit and that he was IMO undertiered. He definitely had major issues with the top 3 since he had nothing to handle zoners, but I felt everyone else was mostly 5-5, with a handful of 4.5-5.5s and 5.5-4.5s. I mean, shit, 6A was Head att inv on frame three. AND it was fast as fuck--so fast, you could 6A their jump-in, and if they double-jumped to bait it, just 6A again since it's already recovered. AND it was +2. AND it started a solid combo on CH, basically CH 6A > 5C > whatever. AND it gatling'd into 6B. I think it may have even been special cancelable. Compare that to AAs of other Hakumen versions: CS1 and CS2 Haku just had 5A and counters, and CSE has the "old 6A" back, but in a much, much worse form--painfully slow, even on block, forward slide makes it somewhat awkward to use, meh combo followups...

Haha, that's so true. That's how I even first heard of you. Across the other side of the country I heard of a Hakumen that beat an Arakune at a tournament in the grand finals by baiting a burst at the final moment. It was like a legend. :P

Pft, I wish it was grand finals :P It was half-way or so through the tourney. I ended up getting 4th, LK put me in losers early on, but I almost fought my way back out. Was doing good and might have had a shoot at winning (since the grand finals were between two Carls, a matchup I knew very well at the time) until a Nu player took me out.

All I need to hear is confirmation that Agito connects after instant j.B and I'm willing to forgive just about any crap ArcSys throws at Hakumen.

mAc you're so cheap. Anyways hold those zantetsu's to your chest bro.

EDIT: don't forget to change your status to "scummiest hakumen" or something along those lines.

What ever could you be talking about. :P

At this point I can't even distinguish what's clean and what's not anymore.

Oh man, I died laughing during some of those matches. I was like AW SHIT HE GOT ME and then somehow I won. I could feel the salt pouring through the screen.

lol, every time I went for those, I was eagerly awaiting the results like a kid on Christmas morning. :P

I always thought I was clean and chivalrous. ;_;

Also where are those matches you mentioned, are they in the video thread or lost on YouTube somewhere.

Nope you are scummy good sir. Clean is if you're a complete replica of Spark, which none of us are. Thus we are all pretty scummy, but you are by far the scummiest hakumen player mAc.

You're joking right? I'm guessing you omitted his OCV in bluerevo? And Chin got disqualified qualifiers.

A-92's fundamentals are off the charts actually. Suzume has really strong combos and hitconfirm.

And the second seems to be gone since pktzn went and got himself banned from youtube. So we lost a lot fo really good matches >_>

Agito is written as "ago" + "katana (tou)", so it isn't a normal read and it means "Chin Sword".

Though most Japanese players dont know that.

Seende like the Japanese has a hard-on for chins. Fenrir in AH3 is written as "chin beast".
