Dacid its dustloop what do you expect?

Besides they never said 2C[M] was unsafe, they just said it can't be used for starting combo's anymore.

Litchi's 6B wallbounces, j.C (I hope it's j.C and not jump cancel) is restricted to the end of the screen (don't know what this means for Litchi players)

That probably means that j.C will only wallbounce at the corner, like many moves now.

Litchi still has an overhead. She's not even supposed to be a mixup character.

Anyway, looks like they're nerfing her starters, but not actual combos. Still ridiculous heat gain probably, but she'll be fine... hopefully ._.

The fact that she must take more risks and less mixup reminds me of ct litch... maybe i'll sub her again...

btw, does ANYONE flourish midscreen? l don't think it's good to make everyone solely corner rapists.

Mu lost her corner loops, and gained quite a bit of midscreen versatility, on top of the fact that she already shined when she had room to work with.

Tager can still fuck you up from midscreen since most of his combos involve throwing his opponent to the other side of him (and back again usually). Having your back to the wall against tager is still bad bad news in terms of having fewer escapes, but who is this not the case with?

:gonk: Welp, GGs Arc System Works. Did CS1 or even CT work like this? Probably not. If it's to balance the game, I could understand, but would that make the game even more boring if the final edition is like this? It's gonna end up where we can tell who's gonna lose a match the moment they're stuck in the corner...:vbang:

Big damage is by by no means the only way to victory.

Corner combos reward spacing, if your opponent is better at spacing, then they should win the match anyway, no matter where the damage takes place on screen.

+ 2A hits "cat walking" (I have no idea what this means, maybe refers to Tao's crawl?)

- Daifunka does not go a long way shortly and followup attacks don't live (someone verify this, I can't really tell if the verbs are negative or not)

Mu

- Tsurugi wallbounce is restricted to the end of the screen (only wallbounces on corner, probably)

+ j.2C's ukemi has not been removed, sorry (probably the untechable state j.2C puts you in; you Mu players should know what he's talking about)

Having higher damage combos in the corner should not be a revelation for dustloop. Not worth posting about.

With how good ibing is in this game, no one's corner rape is truly broken, bar George/Daisherin, which also has holes..

A good thing is that this game has become momentum based and pretty much forces you to play at a semi-decent level if you don't want a bloody, raw ass. Random combo damage has thankfully been limited. l have really high hopes for this game. lt does seem a little bland, though.

lol if this turns out like Battle Fantasia.

Those are all true for 22C, one of the best oki options in the game.

Why are other people using current stats to determine the unsafity of a future move, come ON dustloop. Obviously if it doesn't work even remotely the same in this new iteration, it won't be the same move.

I hate corner rape too but I think that's just bad memories from GG.

Between IBing, tech rolling, widescreen, and the stuff we already know and love like wakeup supers, wakeup grabs, anything character specific (DPs), dead angles (counter assault is the BB term, iirc?) and bursts, you really do have to be either hopeless or outclassed to wind up in the corner for any longer than a moment.

I dunno if I'd agree with that in GG but I certainly do in BB.

Plus there's still a few characters with solid midscreen, eg Tager and Mu, and more that we're not sure on yet (like Rachel who as far as I've seen and heard, even her miserable-but-dedicated userbase hasn't managed to dream up any good potential bnbs).

I was admittedly worried about that at first but I think it'll actually turn out fine. The solution to corner rape is to stay out of the corner, and in BB that's very viable.

Great news. That'll help a lot with the Tao matchup.

Then again, if Tao is that nerfed in CS2, I guess it wouldn't really matter. :v:

Even if Proration won't help corner situations, they might just nerf them anyway if it comes to that. Remember how messed up Tager's hitbox was in CT in and out of corners? They might do something similar...but who knows. I sure don't.

No in BB and in pretty much every fighting game known to man the corner is assisted suicide unless your the guy not in the corner.

Cake was only pointing out that rolling gets you killed, if you think getting out of the corner is stupid easy then your just being silly...of course I main tager so I don't know anything. (everything is hard for tager.)

Getting out of the corner can be tough, even Noel's godly CA can be baited with a backdash.
