MashThat5A Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 So belial edge now sends the person flying away, it comes in at a sharper angle(less range?) and it's not good in combos. I wonder what it's use will be now... Probably only in corner combos.

Thank you Kay Eff for answering in a much less jerktown manner. re: Belial Edge, it'll still be very good for safe movement I think. I've seen Kaqn use it to escape the corner quite a number of times. Maybe the sharper angle will actually make it better for this? You might even be able to use it for crossups. Also it's always had fairly good damage and excellent meter gain on its own, it might be a potential combo ender if you want more heat or want to push the enemy into/away from the corner. EDIT: Unless the blowback is gone and it's almost impossible to hit with out of the corner at which point ignore everything I just said re combo ender.

It's not fully invincible, otherwise people would not be able to punish it. It's only invincible during startup and active frames if I recall correctly. The recovery in CS1 was fairly quick considering the blockstun, but now in CS2 that'll change.

I hope they reverted it to CS bounce Bounceback + Sharper angle means more ground to run to close into the opponent. At least if the angle remained the same, the bounce back wouldnt matter as much. That's cool, I like the idea of them being more punishable if you're MikeZ and use ancient voodoo magic to predict their exact occurance. As long as they're still able to hit anyone out of any non-invincible/superarmour attack it's all good.

As I learned when I was in TGS, it's common courtesy and against game company rules to have unauthorized footage of an unreleased game. ASW probably has big NO CAMERAS or NO CAMCORDERS signs on the machines, so don't expect any good footage of the loketest. Edited November 18, 2010 by KayEff
