Jourdal Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Wish there was a bit more to see but this is better than what we've gotten in the past year (lol). Music is nice, looks pretty, fluid as well. Its pushing all the right buttons.
shwaffles Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Hopefully this gets a PC and console release.
Sahgren Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 I'm really loving how this looks right now; it's so fluid~. Just wondering if they've managed to fix that issue with the VA contracts they mentioned last year; there doesn't seem to be any character voices.
Delrian Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Unlikely, but if they did a FG with no voices during fights I would be okay with it.
Prototype909 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 If not anything else this game has...style. The music, the character select theme, the versus intro, all the cut ins and such...very styling. Though this is the people who made Melty so no surprise really.
SoWL Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Man, that's probably the longest rapier I've ever seen! Certainly like the way Orie looks, especially the animation of her skirt. It's too bad that there are no voices, but the Skullgirls example shows that it actually doesn't take that much time to voice the game. As a side note, it seems that your GRD gauge goes down while the enemy's hitting you. So the only way to use its max level is not to get hit even once.
NoelRin Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Game looks really nice. I think I might be buying this game.
Tsuki Garyuu Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Very impressive sprites here. The music sure keeps the classicness going on. It's more "industrial" here than in MB.
BlueSky Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Actual gameplay? Pure happiness for me then. the character select screen is soooo melty
Gamerboy15 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 So looking forward to play this game once it comes to US.
Bolverk-GTM Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 (edited) This game's music is dope. Edited February 17, 2012 by Bolverk-GTM
Deviru Dahlia Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 This game's music is dope. This~ I also like what I've seen so far~
Prototype909 Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 So looking forward to play this game once it comes to US. Isn't that assuming a lot for a company that has seemingly never even cared to show interest in tapping into the non-Japanese market?
fiendmaw Posted February 17, 2012 Posted February 17, 2012 Isn't that assuming a lot for a company that has seemingly never even cared to show interest in tapping into the non-Japanese market? To be fair, they didn't own the IP to Melty Blood,so even if they wanted to do something, they couldn't.
Shiawase Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I like the game's style. I'll definitely pick up a copy if that's even possible (non-arcade release).
Prototype909 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 To be fair, they didn't own the IP to Melty Blood,so even if they wanted to do something, they couldn't. Well obviously it can't solely be because Type-Moon based IPs don't come over here, F/UC and Fate/Extra both got released into the US Market so unless Ecole/French Bread is/are at least a part of the problem here it doesn't make much sense.
Sahgren Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 It is mainly a problem with French Bread/Ecole when it comes to localizations. From what I understand, they didn't even realize that MB had any sort of following here in America until someone brought it up at Hydra GP 2011. They've apparently been paying much more attention since then (following all the American MB players they can find on Twitter and the like), but I get the feeling that getting UNIB a localization would mean having to push for it and make it known that we want it.
Sahgren Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Looks like Veil Off's length is based on your EXS meter and unless there's a way to cancel it, consumes your whole meter. Gordeau be stylin'.
Mightfo Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 carmine <3 i wonder if waldstein has the slowest walk speed in any game, rofl
BlueSky Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Waldsteins normals are huuuuuuuuuge! O.O And carmine's traps/projectiles look amazing. Love what im seeing
Sahgren Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) I do have to wonder how they're balancing the range. Waldstein kinda makes sense since he's supposed to be big and slow. Gordeau on the other hand is covering the entire screen in some of his scythe attacks, so I'm wondering if those're supposed to be really unsafe or not, or whether his close range game is lacking. Orie actually seems to have one of the shortest reaches so far, but that may just be because nobody is really using her Stand. Edited February 18, 2012 by Sahgren
