Cauis has about 10k health. Tied with Hilda for the lowest in the cast. For comparison

Hilda, Cauis - 10k

Merkava, Vatista - 11.3k

Linne - 11.5k

Orie, Seth - 12k

Hyde, Yuzuriha, Sion - 13k

Gordeau - 14k

Carmine - 13.5-14.4k

Waldenstein - 15k

May not be the exact numbers but their health values are all definitely within this range.

Having 214D as the counter assault input is pretty weird but at least its in the game. Things are looking up

214D is the shield bunker input in Melty, and H-Moon shield bunker is a CA (if not better than CA). It's not weird at all; instead, it's exactly the input you'd expect French Bread to use.

This is why I was so surprised when UNiB didn't have a Shield Bunker equivalent to begin with, honestly. Its not like French Bread had never implemented a similar mechanic before. At any rate, so far I'm really liking the changes made. The change that surprised me the most is that it looks like you can't move before the round anymore. Thanks to all those putting up videos!

Well, I never really got into Melty.

Melty is definitely one of the best-feeling fightan gaems I've ever played. Something about it is just really smooth.

I... just noticed that. I kinda like this change, because all that running around annoyed me before, though I suppose I'd like to be able to try and get better positioning against some of the cast.

I actually dislike this. Movement before round start is one of the nicer things about Melty, since it prevents the same RPS from occurring at round start every time in matchup X.

UNiB has a lot fewer movement options, though, so it could ultimately be beneficial; it was probably easier for some charas to get advantage than others. This is true to an -extent- in Melty, but since jumps and airdashes are separate, even the least mobile characters can cover a lot of space.

Whoa. From the character concepts I think it's safe to say those people are

Kuon (Linne's older brother), Erica Wagner (Member of Licht Kreis), and.... someone I don't know. But she has a Litch Kreis symbol on her forehead. I thought it may have been Adelheid but not so sure now. Since Kuon and Erica stayed pretty faithful to the character concepts they showed us back in January (damn its been awhile). It'd be weird if she suddenly got a redesign. But not impossible, nothing they showed us was 100% the final outcome. I think the most important question is, exactly who the hell is Cauis. Why does he know people like Hilda and know of these 3 as well. Kinda leaves me sour knowing Erica wont be in this iteration but its cool.

Was able to record gordeau vs chaos theme with clearer audio now. Still have some lag here and there, but nothing major

Anyone knows the changes to Vatista and Hilda in the new version? also how strong were those 2? I read Hilda was like A-tier or something.

They collect data on wins/lose via aime card, in the same way as ggxxac+r. Looks like the last valor is a place-holder for chaos. You can check this here, but while usage rate is quite stable, the diagram changes everytime.

Actually Hilda was bottom tier in matchup chart until last week, and is still the least used characters. The tiers is changing everytime, and obviously new players that don't play so well yet have a big impact in it. Yuzuhira is the most popular character, and a wave of new players picked her up, making her fall in the matchup chart from 7 to the last spot. I believe that when things stabilize, hilda will return to the last spot, where she stayed since last year.

She needs to integrate in her pressure and combos a move that powers up the longer she holds a buttom, like sfIV boxer, kofXIII raiden, garou marco, etc. It isn't easy, and even with it her damange isn't so good in the end of the day. It's just that the n°1 hilda of japan is a regular of A-cho's arcade (the same goes for merkava and sion), and people saw some vids and overreacted.

Saw Vatista position floating between 3rd and 7th in the last months, don't know what can happen to her.

-i was wrong about orie b+c. It just put her in the air, and after the ascending part she can do anything she wants. Jb (crossup), j2c or air summon (overhead), simply land > 2a or even use assault. She says "evasion!", so maybe it have some invencibility?

Oh I see. That sounds pretty cool. It would be nice if it had some invincibility but I think it'll be pretty useful even without it. Looking forward to playing around with that

Also, thanks for the video with the Gordeau vs. Chaos theme. It sounds pretty cool. Also, sweet jesus, I forgot how much reach Gordeau's scythe has, lol.

Thanks a lot, yeah I don't really know where to place Vatista on the tiers. She does seem super solid at zoning/oki setups, also she has good defensive stuff. But not many people play her I think.

Hello, all. :)

Could someone explain to me as to what Chaos's Playstyle is? He seemed a bit Carl-esque until I saw him actually fight, then I thought, "OH! He plays like Shadow Labrys," but then I noticed that Chaos's lizard/daemon/monster thing isn't nearly as useful in combos as Shadow Labry's Persona...

So, my question is: What in the world is the point of his playstyle? Rush-down? Mix-up/Oki? Zoning? I'm confused. :I

um, yeah, Chaos literally just came out this week? The reason I put a question mark at the end of that last sentence is because it isn't really clear whether this is still a loctest or they have finally released Exe: Late. But yeah, like Star said, you're going to have wait a bit longer for Chaos' tech to evolve before we can give you some answers.

He does appear to have a "dodge" move like Frank west's roll so I guess we'll see some crossups with that and the lizard. He actually reminds me a lot of Shadow labrys because he has good speed and offensive potential even without the lizard.

Also I think he's not really supposed to have him out all the time, but rather summon him in combos, kinda like Relius.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking of. UNiB characters have HUGE moves, so with the new system Gor is gonna slap you in the face with his scythe every time the match starts, and with the old one it was pretty much impossible to keep Seth or Linne out of your face. I guess we'll have to see how it plays out.

They removed Merkava's hilarious elbow loop but in turn gave him some really nice looking combos : o

His snake oki game is still there too.

Ah there we go.

What's the input on his new throw? That's not replacing his old one is it?

It's his B+C move. He still has his old throw. (I like that one a lot)

The question we should all be asking is: Where the hell are all the Hyde and Carmines?? :<
