EDIT: btw, did anyone notice the silhouettes beside Orie in the arcade OP? They look distinct enough not to be generic bystanders by the look of it lol ; they're probably the other members of Licht Kreis

Holy fuck, it won't be long before he does 100% practical combos. That's way too much damage off any ordinary starters, especially since this game hasn't even been out for a week yet.

i love u Merkava but that 4B loop needs to be nerf to 2 rep only i still happy to see Mer and Yusu trashing eveyone the 1st week :yaaay:

I just noticed that under the health bar of Yuzu there are 3 icons for what i assume is each button ._.

Any idea of why?

No one knows. They've been there since she was first revealed, and we still haven't figured out WTF they're for.

There for her teleport slash followups it tell you which button you can and which is in cooldown when its blackout.

Damn, looks like Merkava really is the Arakune of this game, both in character design AND in hilariously bullshit gameplay.

Instead of BEEEEES, it's SNAAAAAKES!!

It would be even more ridiculous if they were able to fit in somewhere in the middle of a combo, and not just a post-combo oki tool...

for me it looks like he just used her as a bait to fight hilda. Then after the final battle linne said something like "in truth you are a good person"...but he let her in the tree anyway

I thought you were exaggerating until I watched all those matches. Dat 4b... and Hyde's berserker slash looks very safe on block and it causes crumple with a CH state....

another thing that i forgot to ask to those who already played the game

Is Waldstein able to air dash for 10% of the super meter like the rest or no?

I don't recall him doing it on the videos out so far.

I hope to see a vid where Carmine doesn't get his shit kicked in.

Even though I usually dislike patches moments after a game's release, wacky stuff like Merkava's 4B loops need to go.

Right now the game looks like the Japanese equivalent of MvC3, sadly. Combos regularly knocking off close to half HP or even more, stringing from very quick and long-range attacks, with multiple OTGs in many. In its current state, I think people will tire of it quickly. The update had better make some big changes.

Latest Twitter response says they're interested in bringing the game overseas. I think they should concentrate on getting that rumored PS3 version out in Japan first, because we can import it. Probably no hope for a 360 or PC release.

Since this is Ecole, Arc System Works will surely handle consumer publishing.

Right now the game looks like the Japanese equivalent of MvC3, sadly. Combos regularly knocking off close to half HP or even more, stringing from very quick and long-range attacks, with multiple OTGs in many. In its current state, I think people will tire of it quickly. The update had better make some big changes.

Who knows, look how popular is mvc3 on usa, it even has a descent sized community on japan from what i have been tell, i see that unib has potential to keep a good following despite the initial BS, it happened with other games before, and from the looks, the games seems fun, which is what matters in the end

Hopefully, those type of games need good ports with solid netcode to be able to survive outside japan

That would be retarded, but who I am to talk? Merkava is already dominating the scene with 35%-50% damaging combos from random 4b's lol.

Seems that way, but there also seems to be comboable command grab versions and non comboable ones. The comboable command grabs seems to link 100% in a combo, however if you do the noncomboable one, it seems they can tech it.

Merkava and Yuzu dominating thsi game is pretty lame lol. Though now it's Merkava, Orie, Linne, and Hyde.

Hyde has dat berserker slash that's safe for some reason.

Merkava has SNAAAKES, and 4b.

Linne has quick crossups and resets till you die. And good projectile oki.

Orie has her instant overhead in the corner, and immense damage from random hits.

I'll assume you meant Aksys not ArcSys they're competitor. And if they wanted this game to sell internationally, then why wouldn't they release it on 360 to the world outside of japan?

It seems that Gordeau Seth and least of all Carmine aren't used that much now. In it's current build I don't see a good future for those 3, especially Carmine. If you see someone playing him, they get completely dominated by the 4 mentioned above.

I'm generous enough to just mention their arguably biggest overhaul of MB, rather than going as far back as MBR or hell original MB. Even MBAA introduced a lot of changes from MBAC that it warranted a title change. Some of the hilarious things I remembered about MBAA was no-crossup protection and Full moon having access to Circuit Spark during Heat among the character-specific brokeness.

On the subject of cross-up protection: Does anyone know if that's in UNiB? I imagine that Merkava could very well well become outright broken if it isn't.

Aksys is the American publishing branch of Arc System Works. I was referring to the game being published in Japan, though. ASW previously handled the console releases of Ecole's Arcana Heart 3.

I've mentioned this before, but I'm betting that Hilda is a Time Release character, and will be made playable after a certain date or along with a balance patch. Obviously she will be greatly nerfed from her boss version.
