Skye Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 The Arakune guide is up and presumably finished, if you want to throw in some extra information, go in the Arakune boards and speak up.

Star-Demon Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Thanks for everyone putting the effort into making these. Videos that demonstrate what is read in guides makes learning about your character much easier. Looking forward to Litchi, Bang, and Tsubaki - Definitely want to shape up my game.
Kuuhaku Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Depends. I certainly don't mind working with C0R to make the Rachel and Mu tutorial vids since we both have all the information and equipment already. But I'm kinda waiting on getting the okay from Spirit Juice first.
Star-Demon Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 I just realized that guilty gear versions of these would be nice. Especially if they are like the Special Edition CT videos, but with more stuff.
KayEff Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Is this project still in the works? It seems that this would help the community as a whole but also seems that it died out.
LunaKage Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 It seems like it was abandoned, but honestly with CS2+ right around the corner, do you think we should wait for that?
WolfCrimson Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I wouldn't say it's "right around the corner", we still have a few months left.
Spirit Juice Posted August 21, 2011 Author Posted August 21, 2011 It's a tough situation. When I was pushing for this project, people I had involved asked for more time so they can get a feel for their characters more. Understandable. Later, Evo was coming up soon so there wasn't a lot of time. Realistically, at this point in time, I don't have time to do everything by myself. I'm also trying to focus on my streaming team. C0R and PNW were going to help me out with recording, but they hit a snag with their recording equipment frying. On top of that, CS2+ being announced and currently being loketested, it kind of throws a wrench in things. Is it worth making these videos when CS2+ is coming out? Not to mention that some characters seem to be getting changed a lot. I'd like to hear from the community on this if the project should continue as is or wait for CS2+.
Kuuhaku Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Considering that we probably won't be seeing CS2+ for another year, I think it's worth still putting out the tutorials.
Urichinan Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I agree with Bohemian Polka, looking at ASW's past records in releasing their games we probably won't be looking at CS2+ in arcades until about December or maybe January, and then for consoles it could be about 4-5 months after that. I think that's enough time for people to benefit from the tutorial videos.
Tari Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 If nothing else, wouldn't doing this allow you guys to get feedback on what was done well and what could be improved for any CS2+ tutorial vids that might get created in the future?
YukiBlue Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 Considering CS2+ is most likely a Year away, I imagine well over half of the information in a relative CS2 Tutorial would carry over into CS2+ and if anything I imagine for some characters, all the knowledge would be useful. Characters such as Noel however (Possibly Jin) are being changed a hell of a lot, And whilst it would be stupidly unfair to leave them out, id say almost no information would be relevant to them in CS2+ Especially Noel.
Fluck Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 If nothing else, wouldn't doing this allow you guys to get feedback on what was done well and what could be improved for any CS2+ tutorial vids that might get created in the future? I agree with this. Also, Spirit Juice, as you have probably noticed by now, ASW seems to release new editions on the same schedule every year, so for CS2+ and any newer versions, you're going to run into the same scheduling problem. If you wanna keep doing these videos for the new editions, you'll need to either release it just when the game comes out, during Evo period, or during the after-Evo period like now. Releasing a version for CS2 will allow you to gauge interest for a release during this time period.
Airk Posted August 21, 2011 Posted August 21, 2011 I agree with what everyone else said; CS2+ is a long way off yet (Most likely like 9 months at least) if the cycle for the release is anything like CS2. Let's please try to make this happen, a lot of folks were/are excited enough about this stuff to put in a good bit of work, and I see new players coming in with questions every day, so someone is bound to get some value out of this. I also really think that some well produced tutorial vids would be a nice way to get some attention for the community.
Skye Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 New mechanics, new attacks, all sorts of things that change the scope of how the game is to be played for almost every character. It's a tough call, since when the latest BB is announced, no one is going to care much for the stuff that we're stuck with due to lack of a strong arcade scene nationwide. On the other hand, the new renditions get localized 6 or so months after arcade release, so for new people coming around it will be a treat, plus it will prep them for what is to come later. Another agreement with just getting it on and over with. We got some HD recording software in Michigan, plus a few of us are head of the respective character tutorials, Luna, Axis and myself to name a few (if not all), we already got a feel for our respective characters and can come out with all the required footage in a dedicated afternoon at the latest.
Crosell Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 I think this is going to be coming out sooner than people think, with the new taito system they are using.
zreb Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 That has little bearing on the console release, I'd presume, which is what most of our userbase plays on. They've announced no plans.
LuminAbyss Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 We got some HD recording software in Michigan, plus a few of us are head of the respective character tutorials, Luna, Axis and myself to name a few (if not all), we already got a feel for our respective characters and can come out with all the required footage in a dedicated afternoon at the latest. I don't know where Titanium Beast has been or how much of this he has done, but if he needs any assistance with the Ragna guide, I'm also a part of the Michigan scene and can record footage as needed, so I'd like to offer my help to finish this project. As someone who went into BlazBlue needing a LOT of guidance, this can save many new players a lot of frustration with their character of choice and the game in general, so I'm all for finally making this idea a reality.
Kuuhaku Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 PNW is planning on getting new recording equipment soon-ish? But since it sort of caught on fire the equipment we have now is useless.

KayEff Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 both parts are already out :v though i may end up making an omake to the tutorial, a little addition that covers things that i may have left out what with the booming success that this got
