9tea Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 I need to buy cables for buttons , does anyone know a website that sells wires and has a relatively cheap shipping price?
mr.mortified Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 you could make some for yourself if you have the tools if not here http://www.focusattack.com/16pc-wire-with-110-quick-disconnect/ http://www.focusattack.com/10-connection-110-ground-daisy-chain-wire/
wenzel Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Hi guys a few moths ago a bought the Wii Tatsunoko vs Capcom Fight stick my question is if this Arcade Stick can be mod for playing in PS3/Xbox360/PC? http://fast1.onesite.com/capcom-unity.com/user/robcardiv/3afe823850e56ae34bd3cc6d74c919d6.jpg?v=202500 Thanks
CupofT Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Yes, the TvC Stick can be modded for playing on PS3/Xbox 360/PC. You can mod it yourself or you can find someone who is willing to.

mr.mortified Posted October 10, 2012 Author Posted October 10, 2012 (edited) It depends whether or not you want to do it via converters. Actually you can't do it via converters unless you're modding your TVC stick to work with PS2, then from there get converters for whatever system you need. Alternatively, you can just mod it to work with whatever you want. State what you want it to work with, and I can link guides/parts you need to get it done For Xbox/PS3/PC You can just do Xbox/PS3 since they're on the USB platform. One of my peeves is that people say that its triple modded just because Xbox/PS3 work on PC There are a few ways to do this, Easiest for beginners is a PS360+ Works for what you need immediately and just requires you to be able to screw down terminals and switches automatically. Thing is they're out of stock right now and won't be in stock for a while due to demand Next is to use your choice of custom ps3 board and padhack a common ground xbox 360 pad to work with it Needs soldering skills Edited October 10, 2012 by mr.mortified
CupofT Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Thanks for the answer, What specific part should I buying? I don't know which specific part you should be buying. If you are Canadian you can check out CanadianJoysticks and see what PCB you want. Also you can look around Dustloop and see if there is a thread for joystick modders. I'm not sure if there is one on Dustloop because I was on Shoryuken forums 2 years ago where I found a guy in my area who could do mods (which mentioned he did mods on the TvC stick and that's why I know it can be modded). EDIT: or a joystick modder can show up and help you out
mr.mortified Posted October 10, 2012 Author Posted October 10, 2012 Check my other post wenzel, there's a list of what you need/skills you'd need to achieve it as for parts procurement, it varies if you need a common ground xbox pad. as for the custom boards, just look to certain online shops akihabarashop.jp focusattack.com videogamesnewyork.com canadianjoysticks.com arcadeshock.com (not much for custom boards) paradisearcadeshop.com gdlk.co (manufacturer) i forgot the name of the UK shop

CupofT Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 just another question my TVC stick its a TE? No it is not.
wenzel Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 No it is not. Oky but the PS360+ is compatible with the TVC stick?
Delrian Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 (edited) Oky but the PS360+ is compatible with the TVC stick? Let me explain: The controller itself consists of buttons and a PCB (printed circuit board). The PCB interprets what signals it receives from whether the buttons are pressed or not, and sends its signal to the console. Buttons don't discriminate; they only are a switch for a small part of the circuit. So, the only compatability issue would be with the PCB itself. In this case, you are -replacing- the TVC's default PCB with the PS360+ PCB. This does involve (someone, if not you) taking apart the controller, voiding your warranty, etc. Edited October 10, 2012 by Delrian

wenzel Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Is this actually necessary for the Akishop PS360+ or can be a normal cable like the printers cable? http://www.canadianjoysticks.com/akishop-usb-to-rj45-13-foot-4-meter-cable/
Nemesis Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Mr Mort; or anyone really -- since we dunno if CP is coming out for Xbox yet -- and since I will prbly get it for ps3 anyways -- some time ago you posted a nice ps3 stick from amazon that you recommended -- do you think you can remember what that was or recommend something that you prefer nowadays?
mr.mortified Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 To be honest with you, if you have an xbox and a ps3 but don't have any modding skills and just want to buy a new stick, go get a qanba. I have even said this to people who are coming up to me at my booths during tournaments as well.

I have even said this to people who are coming up to me at my booths during tournaments as well. Qanba's are the way to go. Pre-Tri modded stick (PS3, Xbox, PC). And for the finisher they are cheaper than buying a new stick and dual modding it. But if you have something against the chassis of the Qanba (or something about the Qanba bugs you) then I don't think you should get one. Having a stick you don't want to play on won't help you level up.

Calling Qanba/Eightarcs/PS360 boards trimodded is nothing more than marketing i hate that term to the bone. just because it xbox works for PC doesn't mean its dual-modded. Its like saying you have a dual modded xbox pad thats dual modded for PC. Edited October 17, 2012 by mr.mortified

mr.mortified Posted October 17, 2012 Author Posted October 17, 2012 Sorry, didn't mean to sound like I'm yelling. Its just the marketing kinda peeves me off sometimes. I just remember the days when it was hard to get sticks that worked for both consoles

Im not sure how hard it is modding when you have the proper instructions available -- and I wouldnt mind somehow "dual modding?" my stick to work with ym ps3 but really I have no idea also is this what you suggest : http://www.amazon.com/Qanba-Q4-Q4RAF-Black-Fightstick/dp/B007SGGLZW
