Had some fun, some salt, the works. Great show out there guys, I'm impressed by everyone's progress. I thought I had a good start, and it was a bit disheartening at first, but I'm sticking by Elizabeth. Sorry if my bitching got annoying, it just felt really silly to get shown how easily she can get blown up mid tournament. I'm going to be developing some new tech for the next tournament, so watch out. Y'all won't beat me so easily next time. :@

@Jackie - Really nice Narukami. He's really frustrating to fight, but I've already found an answer to some of his silliness. Now I've only got to hit the lab and work it out.

@Milln -Don't sweat it. We ended up being tired as fuck anyway. Again, I really appreciate you coming to get me for this. Yosuke is also coming along nicely, I think you just have to work more at being completely unpredictable.

@Papstr - HE LIVES! You should work on capitlizing off of Teddie's item setups. I'm not knocking on your playstyle, but as people get used to the game and characters, a purely rushdown Teddie won't be as effective.

@KO - I know you didn't even go to this, but I had fun getting bodied in Project M. Maybe one day when I know how to take full advantage of Smash's movement options I'll be able to give you a real fight.

@Naimat - Sorry if I got irritating, I was just really frustrated with myself and Elizabeth's apparent weakness, but the things you pointed out made me realize I just have to keep working at it. Week one Elizabeth isn't going to be nearly as effective as other characters without amazing raw talent and exceptional yomi.

@Tad - Thanks for letting me be a bum, man. I could not have fought Boom Cube properly without that smoke. We definitely need to get some Persona in, and I know I somehow end up giving you more regrets than matches at each tournament, but whatevs. I got mad respect for ya.

@Phil - Good shit man, your Chie was coming along crazy fast. Dunno if you were serious or not, but if so, I hope you change your mind about Persona. STAY WEEABOO YOUTH CULTURE FOREVER.

@Astaroth - Oh man, that match. I somehow had it in my head that I didn't have to worry about your skill because it was Liz vs. Kanji. You then took a chair upside my head to show me just how dumb that was, lolz. I need more legit Kanji match-up xp. I've got you next time.

Thanks for the compliment man. I've been trying to stop relying on it so much actually. I assume I came across as cocky, and I apologize, but honestly I had a ton of confidence in that match-up. I've fought high level Liz before, but I just choked really hard.

Thanks to the people who kicked my teeth in in Kof, It was a great feel getting into the rhythm of the game, and I expect to be a little more competitive next time! After the few rounds I played against people who knew what they were doing, It's become alot easier practicing the simple stuff, and I've collected a few specific tidbits to iron out as well. Also thank you Naimat on the advice on Shen. much appreciated.

After seeing that match I realized that Elizabeth isn't a fullscreen zoner. She should be playing at the max range of her normals where thanatos can instantly be and also where she can cover thanatos's ass with her ranged normals, so it's more like mid-range kind of zoning.

Her giant beam special isn't a zoning tool in a sense to keep people away. It's to make them approach more recklessly or in a more obvious manner specifically rush down characters. You can mixup doing it and not doing it at all depending on if they think you are going to do it. If they think you are going for it they might jump, but if you do it preemptively and read their attempt to jump you will catch them in the 5 unblockable frames of their jump. If they super jump you recover in time to position yourself at mid range space to start establishing pressure and summoning thanatos.

and the fire pillars is meant to bring keep away characters to you so you can set up the same pressure against the rushdown characters.

Milln, I think you picked up the setup Tad left with Naimat. Far as I know my tad setup and his Tad setup were the only Ps2s there.

ALSO BECAUSE I'M HERE, KEEP YOUR CHIN UP NAIMAT. Don't get discouraged because I beat you in GG. I've had a looooot more human practice, and I'm not /that/ terrible at fighting games, I just dislike BB and haven't been able to practice until now. Keep working on whichever main you have fun with, and give Sol a try, he's actually really cool if you don't use Kusoru as your role model.

Keep in mind you're talented man, just keep at it and you'll catch up and start giving people the manly-man beatdowns you're used to handing out wholesale.

Yeah, after thinking through my tournament performance I realized I need to be covering Thanatos more. I've been watching Liz footage, especially Damosu, since last night and figuring out how I'll fix mine; I've already got ideas for some potentially excellent new tech forming. The insight on her maziodyne is interesting, but I think it can also be more versatile than that. Same with her agi moves.
