I see no point in discussing the whole DLC, no Co-OP for 360, etc. etc. anymore. Game is out, it won't be changed, the discussion should be over by now.

Can we please stick to talk about the actual game? It gets a bit tiring having to read over and over that people hate DLC and that they hate Capcom for not giving the 360 the PS3 features.

I guess I will stop. Sorry.

Now, can someone check if Jin is better On Point or the Anchor? Same with Hwoarang? I'm using them for my team, and I want to know if having them on either one is good.

I think that Jin is better on point(doesnt seem to get as much from meter as others do, good neutral, doesnt have as strong of mixup as others so not really the "TAG IN TO RIP THEM UP" sort of guy although he has great advantage on some normals, median line destruction is a good way to set up a tag so that you can bring someone in who dominates at close range, and he generates meter pretty well i think) and that hwoarang is better as second(strong pressure,(multiple overheads, 63214p is +1 on block and moves him forward so you can do that sort of pressure a lot if they dont have a 3f jab to even with his 4f cr.lk) strong defense(not sure how strong jin's defensive options are), and his neutral may not be as strong as others but im not really sure. I feel like his footsies isnt that strong but i suppose that special step and hunting hawk could help out a lot.)

this is purely my opinion and i am still ass at this game but i hope that helps

Did anyone even test this game? (i mean aside from the idiots that bought it, and don't even say "i'm not an idiot!". You bought a capcom fighting game when it first came out! What did you think was gonna happen? You thought you were gonna be PLEASANTLY surprised? really bro, really?)

Also this: http://shoryuken.com/2012/03/16/seth-killian-promises-news-from-capcom-regarding-street-fighter-x-tekkens-dlc-and-future-patches/

$65 for the game including tax.

$13 for tekken swaps.

$13 for SF swaps.

$13 for alt Tekken costumes. (assumed price)

$13 for alt SF costumes. (assumed price)

$20 for 12 "new" characters.

So total comes to $137 to unlock your disc fully, plus glitches and infinites that they'll get to after they unleash their brilliant DLC (unless the glitches are "impossible to fix" until the super silly arcade editition) . Sorry for trolling but this game is just too ridiculous. :8/: Now if you'll excuse me, i'll be playing Streetfighter: the movie : the game.

Is it just me or did Capcom just start really sucking ever since Keiji Inafune left?

It was probably a little before that.

Though I will admit the game is still fun, and most of the infinites (as far as I know, I haven't attempted them) aren't too easy to do. Juri is amazing in this game. Jump cancelling c.HP feels so good.

This game is where Juri feels right at home, TBH.

Totally agree!

Now she's constantly in U1 and doesn't need to link her shit.

Actually, links are kinda helpful for maxing out her damage... Her links are stupid easy now anyways, so you'd be silly for opting to do chains with her.

Just got this game yesterday and I am really liking Hwoarang on point. Trying to figure out who I want with him though, I'm considering Ryu, Hugo, or Marduk.

Ryu is very strong in this game and can actually function well as both point and anchor. If you played him in SF4 you will like him here.

Hugo is also a decent anchor, but people can figure him out pretty easily over time because most of the time you'll probably be doing clap combos to keep up pressure or looking for a chance to psychic Backbreaker. Add in the fact that he's the slowest character in the game and you may want to have someone with good zoning tools on point for him instead of Hwoarang.

Marduk is also pretty much great anywhere. He can combo into his air throw off of pretty much any tag cancel that leaves the opponent in the air, which is a lot of them. He's also surprisingly fast for a grappler.

That's a shame considering Ono puts in a LOT of work generating hype to sell Capcom's games.

I didn't like the way he teased stuff but he's good at what he does. Hope he recovers.

Don't use Ryu, everybody uses Ryu...will this be played at the SAC this Friday, or will it still be all marvel all the time?

I finally got it from GameFly, and the more I use Asuka, the more I think she's not very good outside of a couple specials, but I'm determined to stick with her for the time being. I need to figure out something to do on launch other than ABC. It's too bad her non-ex AA throw is so worthless.

Asuka's only redeeming point is her pressure game, I'm afraid. Her damage is ass, her combo possibilities are ass, almost everything about her is ass. The good version of her is Heihachi, who is slow on the ground but does a shitload of damage and has equally as good pressure, if not moreso. He even has a ground counter.

Asuka seemed really disappointing to me as soon as I started playing online. Its a shame cause she's my favorite character in Tekken 6.

asuka's neutral seems trash if they deal well with jumping around like a dick and spamming j.hp

however her close range game is good because of pressure, oki, and (i think) defense

it is very easy for her to get good mixup/pressure on someone whether they roll or not due to 1)great range unreactable overhead which leads into a combo 2)command sweep sweep sweep. if you do all 3 and then dash cancel you are at advantage 3)dat ex command grab

parry/2mk/upkicks can make her annoying on defense

so she's basically great at tagging in and doin' close range shit but unless you think you can jump for free against them, she's not worth much imo after she's out of range

heihachi might be more practical but asuka may have better defense and certain aspects of her pressure are probably better

Most likely yes, unless the set-up permanently red-rings like it did for a few hours last week lol.

If you're tagging into her from a boost combo, her optimal ender so far is fwd.lk>fwd.lp>st.mp>qcb.k>cr.hk.

As a point character Asuka is complete ass. I run Juri/Asuka which is a really solid team and her on 2nd spot is very effective as she almost always ends up in your face where she can deal out her massive damage and good, safe mixups.

Got frustrated with Asuka when I saw that Kazuya's qcf+P beats her counter, and switched in Lili for a few ranked matches, and saw instant results. I guess I still suck too much at this game to use Asuka. I still haven't figured out how to use that quick tag-in thing in any practical way, and I can't even punish naked tag-outs most of the time. (and when I do, usually it's just like, one special move)

Thanks for that Xiaoyu guide. It was a really helpful intro to the character.

I finally got to play this game for more than a single match, and I like her character a lot. She has serious weaknesses and limitations but she's fun as hell and I'd like to learn her.

On the flip side, everyone is so much more solid a player than I am. I got really angry and nearly threw a stick that wasn't mine when I got double perfected by a day one Nina that played SF4 a lot and then got taunted by the people there with me. I have never felt so near the snap point when playing these games. I cannot believe I almost threw the very Eightarc I made someone else throw. I threw my Xiaoyu guide instead. I'm telling the owner that this thing is fucking CURSED and he should get it replaced before someone loses their damn mind.

I never want to feel that way again. Help!

I don't know what to think of it, but I really do like the character enough to get the game (If I didn't need like $8000 like RIGHT NOW)

That being said, from what little I know and figured out, I feel very fraudulent in this game. hits just come out for hitting buttons after a confirm.
