Zeron_X25 Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Serious question: Can I pick up Makoto before CSE and blow niggas up for free? Or do I actually have to learn the character in-depth :<
[SpA]Relentless Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Serious question: Can I pick up Makoto as a sub without having to relearn all her combos when CSE gets released?
C0R Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Relentless;1139155']Serious question: Can I pick up Makoto as a sub without having to relearn all her combos when CSE gets released? Nope, she lost a lot of mechanics that allowed her to keep comboing into 2c, examples being less slide time on 5d, comet arrow not bounding and the like.

Crosell Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Relentless;1139155']Serious question: Can I pick up Makoto as a sub without having to relearn all her combos when CSE gets released? Her combos will probably be similiar, yet different. It you want to learn her start doing fundamentals, footies, d timings etc etc etc. There is more to Makoto than being a corner combo video :3
Zeron_X25 Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Of course cause you gdlk I can't do worse than Roland_Rd right? lmao
Crosell Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 I can't do worse than Roland_Rd right? lmao Can't be worse than me during tournament play also :3
[SpA]Relentless Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 (edited) Nope, she lost a lot of mechanics that allowed her to keep comboing into 2c, examples being less slide time on 5d, comet arrow not bounding and the like. Ah man that sucks. I suppose I'll still learn her a bit. Her combos will probably be similiar, yet different. It you want to learn her start doing fundamentals, footies, d timings etc etc etc. There is more to Makoto than being a corner combo video :3 Yup I'll do that. I just hate relearning combos for no reason and I was pretty blessed with Rachel in that regard. But she looks fun to play so whatever Edited September 18, 2011 by [SpA]Relentless
Zeron_X25 Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Of course cause you gdlk she is super straight forward. just learn hit confirms and do the poverty corner combo that Ronove posted and you'll do fine. Nice to know she plays straightforward. I tried Rachel and could only go as far as doing her combos ;~;
Crosell Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 To expand on what C0r said, in CSE you have to 5d 66 2b 6a 2d to pick up a combo from that. Assuming from there you could go j.d lightening arrow b for a simple combo into orb oki. I feel like with these changes they are trying to make you pick between Oki set ups and damage. Which will be welcomed over the current version of amazing damage with amazing Oki. Rachel combos are hard, well hard enough that after 30 minutes I was done lol.
Zeron_X25 Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Rachel combos are hard, well hard enough that after 30 minutes I was done lol. Done with the character or... challenge mode? Once I did challenge 10, I felt I could do them all. Only thing I still can't do is 2D > BBL.
HIGEKING42 Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 rachel combos are hard i respect that lol.
Crosell Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Rinhara5aki made a wonderful video on how to do dash orb on a pad for anyone who is interested
[SpA]Relentless Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 (edited) Rachel combos are fairly easy imo. Then again I never played any other character seriously. Makoto combos are hard to me though :S Especially the ridiculously late gatling window of 2C and having to hold the D button for a specific amount of time completely throw me off. Shruikon Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Rinhara5aki made a wonderful video on how to do dash orb on a pad for anyone who is interested That's a pretty neat trick. But I use the D-pad for everything anyway so... =/
RinHara5aki Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 That's a pretty neat trick. But I use the D-pad for everything anyway so... =/ You might be able to reverse the order and use D-pad 236 -> analog 6 and make it work, I haven't tried that ;3
HIGEKING42 Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 i think maks combos are medium difficulty.
milesw Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 (edited) I can't do worse than Roland_Rd right? lmao http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AL01okG2Bo No hope lol Edited September 22, 2011 by milesw
HIGEKING42 Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 nope the thing is you really can't do worse than him. back in cs1 i told him to learn the ball combos to maximize his damage. He shook off what i said and still decided to play combos without 236a. He was doing 4k with a 5b startup with 100 meter. He was raging at me wondering why he keeps losing as well.
OmniSScythe Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 He kicked me from his room with the quickness. lol
Zeron_X25 Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Omni you need to teach me Makoto. I don't even care about CSE tier. I want to learn all the cast before I quit BB. Carl's the last one on my list :<
OmniSScythe Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Mastermind, I get Yoko in the mirror. =/ Zeron, not sure what you expect to learn? Her stuff is much pretty out there except the advance (check jp matches).
